no..he signed a deal right? you can be stashed if you don't sign...if bentil don't make the roster he has to be cut....they should have not signed him then we could stash. Non Partially-guaranteed ... so he goes to training camp and if cut can be assigned to ME or take a foreign assignment unless Jackson is traded within 30 days. We could use Bentil more than Jackson. The Celtics also signed second round pick Demetrius Jackson and have agreed on a partially guaranteed deal with second round pick Ben Bentil, according to Adam Himmelsbach of the Boston Globe yes but we would have to waive bentil...if know one claims him then he could sign with the redclaws....

I thought Bentil was the most NBA ready of all our picks. After his SL play im not as convinced .We do need him more than Jackson.that's a givin. I can't see us going into the season with this team but i admit im confused more so then before the recent moves.

Per source, the Celtics are still aggressively trying to make trades. Today's agreements do not mean that they're done for the summer.

I hope your right it just gives us another shot at a real PG Thomas need to go to the bench before we become a real contender. You'll probably have to watch the Maine games like i did last year to see Rozier. Doubtful he sees much playing time this year.

Zeller did free up Johnson i was thinking the same You probably right about Rozier much to my dismay. . Doesn't Green free up Crowder more than Bradley or Jerebko? Brown needs some playing time.

Despite these moves, though, a league source cautioned that this hardly means that Boston is done for the summer. The team continues to aggressively seek trade opportunities.
“There’s probably changes coming,” the source said.

Who wants Johnson and where the money goes are two clues. Unfortunately i can't make a guess.. The Green signing baffles me the most. Seems to me giving Brown extra minutes would make us better going in to next year.

Seems to me giving Brown extra minutes would make us better going in to next year. Maybe Young & Hunter are going ... Green is a cheap vet with better shooting % than either and as the Boston Globe (Raiders Link) story indicates, a decent "stop-gap." The Celtics are nearing an agreement on a guaranteed contract with point guard Demetrius Jackson, the 45th overall pick of last month’s draft. The final details, including the length of the contract, are still being finalized, but it will be a guaranteed deal, league sources said. Lastly, Boston is close to signing former Providence forward Ben Bentil, the 51st overall pick of the draft, to a partially guaranteed deal. The contracts for Jackson and Bentil should be finalized this week, sources said.
Despite these moves, though, a league source cautioned that this hardly means that Boston is done for the summer. The team continues to aggressively seek trade opportunities.
“There’s probably changes coming,” the source said.
Green, 30, played for the Celtics from 2005-07, averaging 8.9 points and 2.2 rebounds. The 2007 NBA slam dunk contest champion spent this past season with the Miami Heat, averaging 8.9 points per game then, too.
Although Green might not be the knockdown shooter the Celtics are seeking, he has made 36.1 percent of his 3-point attempts in his career and is certainly a decent stopgap.

I never really counted Hunter and especially Young. Nothing against Green just would like to see Brown get more minutes. My usual stance ""play the rookies till we start contending"". Not impressed with the stop gap approach unless your one player away from a title run. Yes a trade makes more sense now than ever. As it stands replacing Turner for Green and Horford for Sully is a wash. You disagree?

If anything, with Crowder, Brown & now Green as swings there's no room for Nader and he's already agreed to a D&S.

I'm not unhappy as long as Brown gets some decent playing time like Winslow got with the Heat last year. Just havn't seen anything yet that makes me think were going deep in the playoffs.. Nadar despite playing well in the SL never had a shot at making the team. Were most likely not done so all this could very well be moot.

You'd think the "Tankers" would be satisfied as it appears Danny is taking a combination approach using both FA Vets and Draftees to build the roster. I've never been either an all-or-none fan wanting all young or all vets as a means to succeed and like the approach of both young & experienced. Don't you feel somewhat appeased at getting your way partially? I know I'm happy seeing a nice combo or youth and experience ...

Yes im satisfied with Brown and Rozier however both still have to prove themselves. Im even somewhat happy with the Frenchie wish he was on the roster. Nothing against Vets but i just want the cream of the crop not just good players. My standards may well be too high but they are consistent. Things haven't settled yet i stand a chance to be even more satisfied.

Danny's signings have still been 1 yr contracts (Green, Zeller) so there's still plenty of flexibility for improvement including the contracts of Amir & Jerebko that expire after this season ... plenty of room for more fireworks if not this year then next!

In two years we should be contending in the East im ok with the slow approach. I can care less about Green and Zeller other than Green taking Browns minutes. I see a few more wins being possible next year so you can call it progressing.. The year after its the finals or a failure in my book. Looking ahead already got my eyes on some youngins this one especially. DeAndre Ayton

Looking ahead already got my eyes on some youngins this one especially. DeAndre AytonI don't see him on this mock ... but consider the source bleacherreport.com/articles/2648699-2017-nba-mock-draft-early-1st-round-predictions-and-surprises-for-top-prospectsHarry Giles (PF) to Celtics As long as he doesn't suffer any setbacks, NBA teams should be fine with a player two years removed from a major injury.
This will be big because when healthy, Giles is a game-changing player. The 6'10" power forward can score inside with regularity but has guard skills that allow him to beat players off the dribble from the perimeter. He doesn't quite have the vision of Simmons, but he is capable of running a fast break while also showing the range to hit shots out to the three-point line.
Adding in his ability as a shot-blocker due to good length and excellent timing, it's clear Giles has an impressive skill set.
Duke is hoping he can be at 100 percent this season, but either way, he has a bright future ahead of him.

Signing Green is a waste of a bench spot.... Guess trader Danny is just a lot of talk no action so why not sign a below average player...

I agree with Darryl. When I first heard the move, I thought Crowder rather than Bradley as the one to be traded. Most of the trade rumors I've read about involve Crowder. He is a good player on a good contract. It should also, hopefully, signal that unless the deal is for Cousins, that Brown is safe for now.
