Smart's comments about the Bucks dodging the Nets on the final day of the season... and losing HCA:
********
From WaPo today: The Milwaukee Bucks are the defending NBA champions but the Boston Celtics are healthier, more rested and have home-court advantage heading into Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinal series on Sunday.
This series appears to be about as even as it could be, with both teams posting the same record in the regular season (51-31). The Celtics and Bucks each won at home to split their four-game season series.
The Bucks fell from the No. 2 to No. 3 seed and lost home-court advantage in this series on the last day of the regular season. Milwaukee elected to rest its starters in a setback to Cleveland, while Boston ascended in the standings by beating Memphis in the finale.
"They have every right to do what they please," Celtics guard Marcus Smart said. "If that means that they thought by (resting starters), they didn't need home-court against us or weren't too worried about us, that's fine. We'll go out and we will play our game and let our game do the talking and see where it leads us."
Smart Smart Smart? Puppy love?

I can't speak for Fierce, God knows, but I believe with Middleton out, it's his own version of "Fear the Deer". He says that without Middleton, it's more like "Pierre the deer"
That's what I thought when he wrote it to me........who know

Let’s show them the importance of home court advantage....
A few comments previously about the Bucks were able to choke so as to choose their seating. Yup, maybe true but both because they are the Champs from last year yet they, I am sure, wanted the Nets to knock us out or at least tire us in a 6-7 game series, I so badly want to beat them.
Even holding the number 2 slot 1 game ahead of us, they wanted to avoid that dangerous Nets 7th seed. They blatantly conceded their final game vs Cleveland seating their regulars. They were so afraid of Brooklyn they were willing to give up their home court advantage in this coming series.
We either need double team Giannis & be prepared to have a couple of players foul out or let him have his 30-40 pts and stop everyone else. Middleton being out will help a lot.
Early wish is Golden State vs Celtics in the finals so I can see a couple of games. Believe me, there would be a lot of Green in the stands here in SF.

Not to mention that Cornwallis had to surrender at Yorktown due to the French fleet pinning him in...

Finnaly! We've been off so long, I've lost my edge!!we're gonna face a whole lot better defense, Pritchard and Grant need to come up big! They're gonna let Smart and White shoot all the 3's they want!

I'm hoping for a Celts Grizzles finals! I only want the Warriors so I could see a couple of games but I believe we’d have a better chance to beat the Grizzles! OK, need first to put the Bucks in the headlights and mow them down!

In retrospect, we did not dominate in any game in the first series. We won by a total of 18 pts...I mean that's 4.5 per game. In fact, I feel that it was vital we won game 1 at home and only in the last second. Gave us momentum and had to depress them a bit & who knows the outcome had we lost?

The Heat is the team I hate the most sans Lakers. They are disgusting. Doc stupid!!! Up 3-2 they win 132-97 by 35 and they are up by over 30 with 4 minutes to go and Embed still in there. Monday morning QB I know but why risk an injury which did happen. He had 33 pts, 11 rebs & 15 assists. Did he need increase his stats? Again, stupid leaving him in MON moving QB or not! And I won’t have been worried about Embiid had they beaten Miami because I believe Giannis is better than Embiid so beating them is of more concern than Embiid even if miraculously he returns. Well it's just like what the doc ordered. He loves to run his starters to the ground, so he deserved it.
