Slow down on Noel. He hasnt done anything special yet and he is a one year rental, and then will demand big bucks, which right now he will get. Okafor had a really solid rookie year until he got hurt. He would be a nice addition at a very friendly price tag for 3 years. Of course it depends what we give up for him, but the kid is only 20, by all accounts a smart kid, and really skilled. We could do a lot worse. I agree with you. I'd like Okafor over Noel. But, of course, we don't know what "they" want, do we?

I'd way prefer Okafor to Noel. The off-the-court-concerns are just posturing to get the price down. He's a 19 year old kid who got in a fight and drove too fast. Paul Pierce had moments when he acted like a total jackass when he was alot older than Okafor and he turned out o.k.

Okafor now if a mutually acceptable deal can be made or wait for Noel to reach free agency? Yes, it's what makes the most sense

I liked Noel better before they got Horford. Okafor should fit well with Horford. DA can't play it too cute or he'll come up empty handed. It should be crystal clear that Griffin won't extend and one year rentals are foolish. Westbrook might become available, but he too won't extend.
It's all about sustainable growth. Okafor fits well with that.

Well, he's setting things up for a trade ... Zeller to $8mm ( ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png) ) which could easily become a S&T rather than Signing and Jackson getting a guaranteed contract as a 4th PG while the more needed Bentil gets a partial guarantee and the much better of them all (Nader) must sign a D-League D&S contract ... looks like he's getting all his ducks in a row ... Quack, Quack! Consider this trade as originally rumored; Rozier, Bradley or Crowder along with Amir or Zeller (S&T) with BRK's 2018 pick for Pierce & Griffin with Gay to LA from SAC and pieces to the Kings. Why do you give a 4th string PG (Jackson) a guaranteed contract, sign Zeller to $8mm for 1 yr with an option over a QO of $3.5mm then sign Green? When done with the trade you are left with a whole at PG (Jackson) and SG (Green) and lose either Zeller or Amir. Zeller is either part of the trade or staying in lieu of Amir. Here are two possibilities: 1) Bradley, Johnson, Zeller and 2018 pick for Griffin & Pierce: espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=jthffvl2) Griffin/Pierce to Bos ... Gay/Bradley/Zeller to Clips ... Redick & Thomas to Kings espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=jycnz37
