They were set up for failure but going to so many ECFs this early in their careers actually masked that failure. It was pathetic watching JT and JB struggle in the All Star 3-point contest. It was obvious they were out of their element; they're not 3-point shooters. I'm beginning to believe that CBS and DA need to go and Wyc needs to take the organization and team in another direction. Wyc is included.. Give us The Three Stooges.. James is now part owner of the Sox, We should have hoped it was the Celtics.. He has smarts.. We have the The Three Stooges Lebron just has the ability to play on the teams hes a part of. Thats a big help

He uses his brain not just his body.. He put the teams together.. He couldn't win with just himself.. He's also adjusted his game from a more of a scorer to a distributor when needed.. We pay Walker 34 mil.. He can't make any adjustments..

Any team hes on is an immediate contender. He put the teams together, and coached the teams. The GM/Coach didnt matter. Player driven

James won in three cities with a little help from his friends.. His body was worn out a few years back.. He adjusted. JT and Brown might one day.. If they leave the two idiots who have led them astray.

The guys know how to play and the talent drives success. We can change the coach all we want, the same level of success will be reached. It all depends on Tatum and Brown and where there skills develop

Which takes us back to the argument, how much of the team makeup is due to the coach and how much is Danny. Because I think we all agree the problem is too many weird draft selections that didn't pan out.

The coach was assigned 30% of the fault by the most respected posters here. You failed to give a number. That's fine. Nash is the coach and Irving was the only one who said otherwise than retracted his words. Harden has adjusted his game for the good of the team. Ya think the old pg Nash wasn't part of this? Find that hard to believe.. Tatum and Brown need one item. A point guard or a point forward like Hayward who can run the offense, Smart we thought was maybe the answer.. One assist in the past two games proves he's been corrupted like JB and JT.. This cancer runs deep You'll find Stevens and Ainge are not the cure but are the disease..

When you have Kyrie and Durant, and now Harden, Nash doesn't need to coach/practice/emphasize certain aspects of the game like a coach of a young star would.
Vogel was a good coach in Indy but he's not better because he won a championship in LA. He had Lebron and AD.
When you have young stars who don't understand winning like a guy like Lebron, AD or Durant, the coach must be more of a mentor. A coach must emphasize certain things that breed winning.
It's a bit unfair to compare the importance of coaching by Nash versus Stevens.

Translating Danny Ainge before the trade deadline
In a wide-ranging interview with MassLive’s Brian Robb, Danny Ainge not so subtly mapped out the rest of the season for the Celtics. With the trade deadline a week away, all eyes are on how he chooses to use the Traded Player Exception and whether or not he cashes in on some of the young players on the roster and trades them for an impact player.
Spoiler alert: none of that seems likely before March 25th.
Here’s a brief GM-speak to blogboy translation:
“I like the guys on the team, but I’m not sure it’s a perfect fit, and we have to try to find, you know, fit, along with the right talent, but each and every player on this team, I do like and think that they can help.”
And later...
“I mean, I always go into the trading deadline, thinking that there’s something that we can do to help our team. And whether it’s 2018 or 2010 or 2021, like I always try to go in thinking but I’ve also been around long enough to know that sometimes change in even personalities, even if you get an upgrade and talented (player),
'' Each and every player on this team, I do like and think that they can help.”
This is proof he sees no mistakes he has made and is in denial..We all know we have at least 4 or 5 players who don't even belong in the NBA..

I give Stevens 10% if I had to give a number, didnt know I was assigned. Harden has always been a great playmaker, he simply checked out of Houston. Always had high assist numbers, now hes doing it on a team with 2 great players. What kyrie originally said was what was on his mind...The retraction was backlash. Truth is, if me and you co coached that team, theyd go to the finals as well..Or at least compete to go.

Brad is a good coach, clearly. Is Snyder a great coach? He will lead his team to another semi final exit most likely. Should they then replace him? The reason why is they dont have the perennial best players in the world. Its hard to teach guys how to win, when the guys arent good enough. I think its very easy to argue that Spoelstra didnt mold Lebron and show him how to win, it was Wade. Spo is another irrelevant coach now, not becasue he isnt a good one, because he doesnt have good enough players. Kerr didnt mold Durant and show him how to win, it was the partnership of Steph/Klay and their roster. Now that hes gone, theyre again irrelevant. We put too much of the blame on the coaches imo.

Most agreed Stevens had some imput on draft picks// Well it's really inseparable if you think about it. An owner or manager brings in a coach because they like his philosophy so they're picking players that would fit his philosophy. That's why I assigned it 40%. But this isn't that far off the team that won a round last year. This more has the feel to me of locker room problems at this point. This is how it feels to me when players want a change

The locker room problems and play style is caused by the players, and the quicker they look themselves in the mirror the quicker the issue would be solved.

We could fire the whole team and Brad could coach up a bunch of Misfits to be 500. As good as this team. Has somebody tweeted that guy from yesterday to ask where is the big happenings?

I don't hate Lebron any more, except I wasn't a fan of his china apologetics. There's no denying Nike uses slave labor and LeBron gets a good chunk of those benefits
