and I thought I was one of your favorites!! Well, I would like to move past all this but you are a relentless butthead...so eff you and the horse you rode in on... Calm down boys. If it’s a fight, I’m in. Brought up in an Irish, Polish, Italian ghetto the only thing that kept us from killing each other was the Catholic Church. Me at 17, 23 and 50. I’m 83 now and even slow at swatting a mosquito so I could be had but did learn some Karate with my legs. Best to make peace & despite angry with name calling and challenges to meet in person, words never physically hurt anybody and sometimes comments only serve a purpose to display ignorance. After Tatum's presser I don't ever see him being much of a leader other than by his play on the court.
This team needs an Antoine Walker like vet to get in players' faces and speak the hard truth to the players and the media.
We need another rim runner to work with Rob ... I think Nerlens Noel is perfect and affordable.
We need a PF that can spread the floor but just as easily create his own offense, defend and help rebound. I'd spend good $ for Collins if he would do an extension like KG did.
We need a long PG that can create for others and make a few threes now and then ... Rondo has matured into such a player but he's long in the tooth moreso than the body so I'm not sure who else can be had.
Finally, our three point shooting is suspect ... we need a sniper who can be depended upon to make threes in crunch time. We may have one in Nesmith but we need another vet to provide depth and help develop Nesmith's game.
Trade or cut Tacko, Grant, Javale, Edwards, OJ, Teague, Thompson, Langford & Waters to get the pieces above. Otherwise, tank now and rebuild this summer with the TPE's and added cap space once contracts & guarantees expire.

Someone should drop a bomb in thislocker room, Semi should not start or even play Time Lord should start. DEFENSE, what defense > Brad should be gone tomorrow as should Danny who also should be checked for dementia. This has gone on way too long.

What say you now Fierce you gutless wonder?
No balls, no babies! Well, the thing is, Fierce loves his Celtics...just didnt quite see it being so bad...but he loves his Celtics...so maybe we have to go a bit easier on him...I think so...I want him back, but just being a bit more realistic...
Realism is not necessarily half full/half empty...sometimes it is necessary to have a smaller glass...
Fierce was the unreasonable one. I don’t think anybody wanted him to leave.

In an ordinary year, Tacko and Waters would be in the G League, so I don't really count them as on the roster. Neither may be here next year anyway, but they don't make a ton of money by NBA standards. While I might trade Langford, I'm not for cutting him. And he really can't be traded now because he hasn't played. Yet, if cut, he'd probably be picked up right away, get healthy, and turn into a nice player. I suggest patience on him

We have few if any trade pieces that any team wants.
I would trade the ones Boss mentioned also and Semi and GWill too, No team is excited about picking up any of these players..
If ya thinking there is a way out for us? Think again..
In two years when Walker and his 35 mil is gone we might be able to make a move..
Ainge mortgaged our future ..

Nobody walking through that door will help the Celtics this season. Nobody will help this team if they have to play third fiddler to JT and JB. It will take a lot for a solid player to come here and accept being the 3rd option behind these two supremely talented, yet mentally lacking, young studs.
This team has no bench, no depth, no consistency, no direction, no leadership AT ANY LEVEL.
It would not surprise me if the Celtics stood pat at the trade deadline because nobody will help us this season.
Last year, you saw Miami pick up vets like Iggy and Crowder. Now you see vets like Ariza and Tucker get picked up. Why are we relying on GWill, Semi and Teague so much when they just aren't seasoned enough or skilled enough to provide the Celtics what is needed?

I agree "he" mortgaged our future. YES he did. FOR THIS YEAR!!! When Kemba played in CHA, he hardly ever missed a game, is it "his" fault Kemba is now .5 Kemba? No, not really. At the time he was better than Rozier. That was supposed to be an upgrade, and many here, including me, were excited with that swap.
NOW - did he PLAN on having a Big 4, fully healthy and ready to go this year? Again, YES!! And, folks, THAT team would be contending for the title. A few safe additions here and there, Smart off the bench, and we were flying.
DID he plan on having an injured player with a 34.5 million dollar player option opt IN? Yes, of course, we all did. Get your 34 mill, and then get another big payday next year on another team, if you want. THIS was the year. The asshole screwed us over.
THEN, the biggest mistake of all was made.............jerking off while MJ swooped in with a Godfather offer. We should have traded the malcontent, greedy bastard to IND for Turner and McBuckets. I just picture Turner instead of Thompson, and Dougie instead of Semi. We could have then upgraded at PG (no Teague, maybe keep Wanamaker) and used our smaller MLE on a shooter. We would be better!
Anyway, enough ranting. Waiting for today's tweet that something big will happen today for the team. Perhaps we'll get another press release saying, "we like our guys." Good grief

The bigger problem is the leadership has to come from the best players on the floor. The role players feed off those guys and follow those guys. This team wont seriously be contending until JT and JB both reach a new level of their game, and the sad truth is it may never come. I agree the back half of the roster is poor, but making minor moves at this point is irrelevant imo.

Tatum and Brown 5 for 23 from three point land!! Brown 4 for 8 free throws! To make matters worse, I turn on the Mavs and watch Luka take the Clippers a part!!

Good grief Walker was never what we needed healthy or otherwise. Knee jerk reaction to losing Kyrie was the just of it, Why did Jordan not give him 130 mil for 4? He seen Walker wasn't leading them anywhere. Walker says he healthy now.. I don't see any interest by any other team and we likely won't. The Turner trade would have helped we had two greedy bastards. Ainge was one. Nothing is happening that will change the fact.. We are not even close to beinga contender. You can have Barnes or anyone else.. It doesn't matter to me.. Good Luck . I'm tanking ..

JT and JB are far from being leaders. They never had a leader to emulate and it's unfortunate that the Celtics didn't bring in a true leader for their development if nothing else. Solly, IT MAY NEVER COME. I don't think JT knows who he wants to be. Right now, JT wants to be 3 different players. He wants to be Kobe and other times he wants to be Harden. IMO, he should focus on just being Jayson Tatum and the best Jayson Tatum. I believe that player can develop into an elite NBA player but he has to stop wanting to be Kobe and Harden. Any move we make, if we make one, should be with the future in mind. As sad as it sounds, we may need to look to stack up on draft picks again because we just don't have the players who will get us anything back. We have 4 players with tradeable value: JT, JB, RWill and Smart.

Yes sir. Four players out of 15 that have some real worth. I see ya didn't inclule Walker.
We need draft picks.. Not ones in the 20s
If JT and JB arn't ready to lead? Find someone that can. Find someone who understands where Stevens is going too.
It's obvious'''NO'' players on this current team do..

I didn't add Walker because I believe his contract is an obstacle to us getting something of value back. I do believe we'd have to take back garbage for a team to trade for him and depending on who that garbage player is, I'd have to gauge the value then.
It's amazing how we've gone to the ECF in 3 of the past 4 years but we're going backwards as an organization.
Why is that?

Ainge got the players..Stevens instilled small ball and three point shooting over anything else. Who taught Tatum and Brown? Stevens .. Case closed

I'm just going to blow up..
Tatum took only four three pointers while at Duke..
Brown attempted only 3 at CAL.
Who was it that encouraged them to shoot more threes.. Ainge and Stevens..
This is like being a shitty parent and teaching your children wrong.. Then blame them.
JB and JT are not the problem.. They were set up for failure..
DAMN SHAME ONE HAS TO GET SHITTY FOR THE TRUTH TO COME OUT..
I;ll get worse much worse/

They were set up for failure but going to so many ECFs this early in their careers actually masked that failure.
It was pathetic watching JT and JB struggle in the All Star 3-point contest. It was obvious they were out of their element; they're not 3-point shooters.
I'm beginning to believe that CBS and DA need to go and Wyc needs to take the organization and team in another direction.

Its why young players dont lead teams to championships. I think Kyrie was the guy who was supposed to help lead, unfortunately it just didnt work out. The move at the time was a no brainer. Youre right, it may never come, thats why I think playing for the future is a tough way to look at it. Its why I wanted Harden. So many different things could prevent them from winning in the future. But if theyre going with Tatum and Brown then itll have to be the future, and honestly probably the distant future.
