Yup, I know there is a Sox Forum but just some short comments. I recall a long time comment that “pitching wins titles”. And I believe we are lacking a core of quality guys but I believe we’ll win a lot of games 7-8 etc. to 4-5 etc. as our hitting is good. Problem is I hate the Yankees as much as I hate the Lakers and they are 12-4, 6 -1 at home, have won 8 in a row and 9-1 last 10 games. We are in 3rd place at 10-6 and 8-1 at home. OK, OK, I know pre-season is relatively meaningless but does give us a little window of what we should expect....a high scoring offence.

WOW! That was beyond pathetic! To me that press conference, by our best player and "face of the franchise," speaks volumes about what is wrong with this current team. He couldn't even look up while answering a question, God forbid he be a man and look the questioner in the eye while ansering!
I have said many times before and I will say it again, the keys to the Celtics car were given to Tatum far to early and to easily.
Teams take on the persona of there best player (or coach if he is a domineering personality) and the C's have clearly taken on the persona of JT; soft, distracted, and usually appearing uninterested.
It is pretty clear to me that no team will win a championship with JT as its alpha male. Much like Anthony Davis, JT is a second fiddle, or to quote Fierce, he is a robin not a batman.
Either Danny needs to package Jaylon Brown and other assets to get a true alpha that JT can play second fiddle to, or take admins advice and sell high on JT.
Quite a judgement about a 23 year old kid. There isnt one young player in the league that drags their team to championships and most of them are immature. Hes 4-5 years away from his prime, would be pretty irresponsible to give up on him this early if youre a GM. The simple fact is there arent many superstars out there, and they are all older. Yes it is quite a judgement, but I believe its an accurate judgement. There are different levels of maturity and Tatum in this interview looks and sounds as interested as a middle school kid on Friday before summer vacation! Heck if my 13 year old grandson didn't look a person in the eye while speaking with him, I would discipline his a$$ ! I get where your coming from, kids are young they got to mature before learning how to win etc. When Larry Bird entered the NBA at age 23 he was mature enough to put the team on his back and increase the teams wins total by 32 games! That's a different level of maturity! I just don't think Tatum has "it."

Put my expectations aside. Few ever meet them i admit. I could and might later dig thu the posts here before the year started.. The tide as tuned.. Around 90% of Celtic fans thought we were the team to beat in the East this year. Public opinion now is what? Just the opposite.. Public opinion will run Ainge out of town soon and likely his running buddy Brad. I'll be fanning the flames. Maybe I am not as upset since I was not in that 90%. I actually think thats what got me labeled as a fake fan on here originally. My expectations in the NBA are always low. If they do switch it up at coach or GM then I wouldnt complain, just dont think itd do much. If they do replace STevens, Id like to see Chauncy Billups step in. Championship player whos young enough to connect with this generation They need someone who will bring the intensity, get in the young guys faces, and someone well respected. My first call is to Kevin Garnett. Put a good experienced asst. on the bench with him.
