If no foul then why was the putback from KP not awarded?
Shotclock not adjusted and then the timer started on jump ball tip rather than possession!
This game was as much a gift by the Refs as a loss by the C's!

The Celtic wheels came completely off in the 4Q.
Cavs won this game going away.

Probably because the whistle had blown. And the refs just blew the jump ball call.

Jaylen Brown didn't take a shot the 4th quarter. That just can't happen.

That shot had NO CHANCE of going in anyway. That isn't a shot Tatum can make consistently. Tatum is the last guy I want to take the shot with the game on the line...why can't the prick pass the ball once in a while?... ISO ball the whole 4th...which is all I got to watch...idiots... Why the heck not put Hauser, PP, Horford in?...the rest were sucking...leave in DWhite cuz he is a good team player, unlike Brown and Tatum... 💯 Classic Tatum hero ball. That shit has to stop.

And I'd make sure the Porgy (minus Bess) had the ball in his hands for the final possession.

We are better than this. We blew a 22 point lead. Only Lakers fans complain about the refs. That call did not cost us the game. I'll wait for the last 2 minute report, but we absolutely blew that game!!
I'm on the Petey train now. We can't fight adversity. We can't close out and win close games. The Nugs will destroy us if we play like this. A classic example of taking a team too lightly.
I will say, however, that beating this team 4 times in one series will be a Herculean task.

Adam Himmelsbach: For the most part the Celtics thought this loss could be beneficial. Jaylen Brown was certainly the most frustrated by it. “Today matters. He still gets the benefit of the doubt. 7th super team he has been paired with. Porzingis should get him over the hump and Tatum will smell like roses at the end. 0 MVP, 0 All Defensive and 0 titles. He is only 19.

tough crowd against a team that loses once a month Yes, but in the 11 wins, the average margin of victory was 22 points. We've had one close game, and blew it. It's a pattern that needs to change. I still don't think anyone can beat us 4 times, but having the best record is very important as well. And beating teams without their best player is also vital.

Mazz lost this game for us. I'm sure he was trying to teach guys something but you don't lose a game you've dominated for 40 minutes, up 93-71, only to fall behind 99-103. That is getting outscored 32-6. Mazz is a complete Idiot.. and a liar and talks bullshit constantly . Now he's claiming to tried to call a timeout at 4.6 seconds. The refs wouldn't let him he said. 4.6 fuckin seconds? Come on now. Why not 12 seconds? Why go to Tatum the Cavs the fans and everyone knows that's Mazz's only plan. We lost to a team without their best player Mitchell that says a lot..

tough crowd against a team that loses once a month The Celtic team that showed up in the 4Q against the short-handed Cavs is very much the team I had winning 41 games this season.
Soft.... overconfident.... lacking mental toughness and effective leadership (on and off the court) in the crunch.
It wasn't that they lost.... it is how they lost.... and what that sez about how they will fare in the POs.
Will they be more like the 41 win team (I predicted) in the post season against quality opposition?
Stay tuned.....

Losing on the road like we did is disappointing. I'm not upset that we lost the game. I'm upset with HOW WE LOSS THE GAME!
Defensively, we let a guy who averages 5 PPG score 20 4th-quarter points while we scored A TOTAL OF 17 as a team.
Offensively, we allowed Tatum to revert to ISO hero-ball for a good part of the 4th quarter. He went 1 for 8 in the 4th quarter, all while JB DID NOT ATTEMPT A SHOT!
Coaching. How do you NOT call a timeout with the final possession and 12 seconds left? How many times do you continue to "leave it up to the players" when the result is a negative outcome? Time and time again it's obvious the players don't know what to do. For Tatum to go ISO and then attack so late in the clock AND TAKE such a low-percentage shot is evidence that "letting the players figure it out" just might not be the best approach.
Unless we absolutely destroy a team, we struggle down the stretch. We lack that mental toughness when faced with adversity. We sure better clean it up by tomorrow or DEN is going to embarrass us.

Q4: 87-71 BOS
Cavaliers lineup change (Isaac Okoro, Sam Merrill, Caris LeVert, Dean Wade, Georges Niang)
Celtics lineup change (Jayson Tatum, Payton Pritchard, Luke Kornet, Al Horford, Jrue Holiday)
TIME OUT CAVS ... 95-82 (shaved 7pts off our 20pt lead shooting 3's - 15 to match C's 15 made keeping them init)
Niang 3 cuts lead to 10pts (95-85)
And the wide open 3's brought to you byyyy..... The double big. Bad game Mazz, thought we were past this.

So one bad quarter over the last month overshadows 45 good ones?
Tough crowd indeed.
That being said, there were things that can be and should be learned.
