Game 7 at the Garden ... What every baller dreams of right?
So ... "Hey now, you're an All-Star get your game on ... go play."
"Only shooting stars can break the mold" (No 0-3 NBA team has ever come back and won 4 in a row) and you know to kick Miami's ass you will need to shoot at least 40 threes and make nearly 40%. But you have the weapons with Tatum, Brown, White, Smart, Horford, Grant, Hauser and Pritchard to get it done. I've left Brogdon off that list as we don't know how well he will shoot the ball tonight ... but he will be activated tonight!
Maybe my confidence is misguided but it seems that Butler keeps making predictions he hasn't been able to keep (boy who cried wolf) particularly his Game 6 "guarantee." So it's no longer the Celtics "Under Pressure" of an elimination game as much as the Heat and they looked like a tired team in Game 6.
The Heat is on but it's on Miami now more so than Boston with home court advantage ...
I expect we'll see a Celtics team that is "Taking Care of Business" tonight!
Jayson was so excited to come back to Boston and play Game 7 in the Garden that I expect him to have one of those dominating moments that we've seen before:
... so if you're up to it Jimmy (Butler), Tatum's message to you is "Take On Me!"
Just know this ... You're "In the Right Place But It's the Wrong Time" for you and the Miami Heat.
But go ahead, we're not gonna convince "What a Fool Believes" ... try to beat us if you dare.
... but I think you're "Crazy!"
and my prediction for you is a "Bitter Sweet Symphony ... See ya next year!
The Celtics have momentum and the wind at their backs ... expect them to "Ride Like the Wind" to victory.
No, "Don't Dream It's Over" cuz after tonight the real fun gets started ... the war between us and them (Denver).
So, don't even think about losing ... "I Can't Go For That!"
Al is fighting the clock ... we need to get back to the Finals now so he gets a Championship ... he needs one, a lot more than we need 18!
Just "Do It Again" one moar time and your place in the NBA Record Book will be sealed and Al gets another ring shot with the franchise and for it's fans.
Message to the players:
As fans, we're "In Too Deep" at this point so keep it going ...
Love em and hate em but the "Power of Love" can take us Back to the Future ...
where everyone wants to "Rule the World" as NBA World Champions but this team seems destined for history and #18.
LET'S GO CELTICS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You know, I have been a CD collector since the 90s. LPs are back but I don't have the space to even consider them. But now, bands are not releasing more CDs. A lot of them. It is stream or nothing. I feel I can't justify paying for music I can't own. Even pay downloads sites here in Canada are dissapearing.

I want one of those active, precise, shot-making, defense-playing, crowd-rocking game 7's in TD Garden.
I want us to play our best game of the series and blow out the Heat.
Let's leave no doubt who the eastern conference champs are.
Let's make history!

Nick Nurse to the sixers. They will be a different team. Probably no Harden.

I saw Queen opening for Bad Company at the Gahden back in about 1981...had no idea what I was witnessing...thought they were sort of weird, went to see Bad Co...errr...though I had a girlfriend that if you played Bad Co, you were in like money...
If only I could go back in time...

Tim Bontemps: The Last Two Minute Report from last night’s game is up. There are two incorrect calls – Caleb Martin should have been hit with a lane violation with just over a minute to go, and Gabe Vincent should have been called for a foul on Jayson Tatum with 33.5 seconds left. – via Twitter TimBontemps Caleb Martin, Gabe Vincent, Jayson Tatum, Boston Celtics, Miami Heat
Originally, referee Josh Tiven called the foul on Horford with 2.1 seconds remaining and ruled it a two-shot foul. In that situation, the league automatically would have reviewed the play to see whether it was going to be a two- or three-shot foul. But because Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla challenged the call, the NBA had the ability to look at the entire play, according to Monty McCutchen, the league’s senior vice president, head of referee development and training. The league saw that one of Horford’s arms came across Butler’s arms and fouled him with three seconds to go, thus adding nine-tenths of a second to the clock. – via Tim Bontemps @ ESPN Joe Mazzulla, Referees, Al Horford, Jimmy Butler, Boston Celtics, Miami Heat

Celtics co-owner Steve Pagliuca hugged White after his game-winner and told him he’d just crafted his own “Havlicek stole the ball” moment, a reference to Celtics legend John Havlicek’s last-minute steal that sealed Game 7 of the 1965 Eastern Conference finals against the 76ers. White told Pagliuca that he knew he had very little time, so he’d tried to use his fingertips rather than catching the ball with his palms to save whatever milliseconds he might need. – via Boston Globe John Havlicek, Steve Pagliuca, Derrick White, Boston Celtics
“Derrick was — and maybe still is — the most underrated player in the league,” one Eastern Conference front-office executive said. – via Baxter Holmes @ ESPN Derrick White, Boston Celtics
In April 2012, a man by the name of Jeff Culver changed the course of White’s life. Culver had previously recruited the guard to an NAIA school, Johnson & Wales, and had then become the head coach at University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, a Division II program. And he asked White to join him. But there was a catch: Culver’s offer came late in the recruiting process, so all he could give White was a partial scholarship with a $3,000 room stipend toward housing; White and his father took out a $17,000 loan to cover the rest. White wore No. 14, a reference to all the schools in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference that didn’t recruit him, and, before games, he’d remind himself why he wore it: “They said I wasn’t good enough.” – via Baxter Holmes @ ESPN Derrick White, Boston Celtics
As the Feb. 9 trade deadline approached, the Celtics zeroed in on White — “Boston was desperate to find a guy like him,” one Western Conference executive said — but the Spurs, league sources said, had no interest in moving him. White had become beloved in the organization, a key part of its culture. When White held his wedding in Colorado, several members of the Spurs’ front office attended and White thanked his coaches for helping develop him. “Derrick was a guy that everybody in the league wanted,” the Western Conference executive said. “The Celtics were just persistent.” Boston came in heavy, offering Romeo Langford and Josh Richardson, a first-round pick in the 2022 draft and a 2028 first-round pick swap. It was the sort of offer the Spurs couldn’t refuse, but, sources said, the Spurs also wanted to ensure they were sending White to a good situation, to a team that was headed in the right direction. – via Baxter Holmes @ ESPN Draft, Trade, Derrick White, Josh Richardson, Romeo Langford, Boston Celtics, San Antonio Spurs

Big men for men in green. Celtics and Dallas Stars both need to win to move on. Stars are down 3-2 vs Vegas coached by Bruce Cassidy.

DWhite should now be called The Flash based off Jaylen Brown's postgame comments.
He said he swooped in like a flash of lightning.
