We were up 7 before JT scored those 7pts ... Brown added 2 and Brogdon added 2 for +11 Sixers scored 6pts Net win +5 w/o JTs 7 That's not how it works. You really gonna tell me that those 7 points weren't clutch? Some of the posters here keep saying Tatum disappears. Jayson Tatum gave you guys an answer tonight!

Why you changing the subject ... you were just pushing this win to his credit and when disproven offer up some irrelevant proof? WTF?
You said we didn't need Tatum in this game to win. What if we remove Tatum's 27 points, Celts still win?

Please ... stop pumping Tatum ... he sucked tonight and even said so himself ... he added 27 but gave up almost as many with errors and poor play.
We don't win w/o Brown ...

Come on, guys, this is where your bias shows.
Jayson Tatum was the man in the clutch.
So saying that Tatum disappears in the clutch is a myth.
Jayson Tatum has already broken some of Larry Bird's records.
Whether you guys accept it or not, Jayson Tatum is the new Larry Bird of this genearation's Boston Celtics.

If this is a "suck" game for Tatum when he has 27 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals, and 1 block, imagine if Tatum just has a good game.
It's true JB did the heavy lifting for 3 quarters, but as usual, when it was winning time, Tatum stole the show!

Brogdon had 7pts in Q4 ... why wasn't he the man in the clutch?
Tatum helped secure the win but Sixers couldn't overcome the lead we already had plus the additional FTs made by Brogdon and Brown.
End of story.

There you go!
We were ahead by 7pts and Sixers only got 6pts back ... what Tatum did was irrelevant ... LOL!

End of story. That's also true. But that's also the reason why some of us here believed Cs would've beaten GSW in the finals if the Cs had Brogdon last season. Yeah, Brogdon had 7 points in Q4, but JT had 7 points in a span of 2 minutes late in the 4th. According to ESPN, JT outscored the entire Sixers team in the last 3 minutes of the game. That's MVP performance right there.

Hahaha ... but Fierce, it didn't matter! Thank you for adding to the Sixer deficit JT but those 7pts did nothing to seal the win.

It may not look it right now, but Jayson Tatum will be what Tom Brady was to New England for 2 decades.
This is just the start of greater things to come.

Hahaha ... but Fierce, it didn't matter! Thank you for adding to the Sixer deficit JT but those 7pts did nothing to seal the win. One thing's for sure, it was just a 7-point Celtic lead with 2:57 remaining. Nobody here and I mean nobody said it was already a Celtic win at that point in time. Jayson Tatum simply put the game away and prevented a Sixers comeback.

Booker lighting it up with 16pts already in Q1 ... who's better: Booker, Murray, Tatum or Brown?
Now that's a brain teaser ...

2:57 Grant Williams defensive rebound 103 96 2:40 Jayson Tatum makes 16-foot two point shot 105 96
It was still anybody's ball game at that time.
JT simply put the game away with that killer fade away jumper.
Nothing but net!

JT will be better than all those you mentioned because JT will be 1st team All-NBA again this season. JB will finally make an All-NBA team this season. And Jamal Murray is not in the conversation as he's not even made a single All-Star selection.

Kevin McHale only made 1st team All-NBA once.
JT making his 2nd 1st team All-NBA puts JT in the class of Larry Bird.

Aren't we lucky to have two superstars!! And there you have it folks, comment of the thread. Why? Cuz hes just calling em as he sees em and not letting 10 year old grudges cloud his judgement. I wasnt as active on the boston.com celtics forum as some of you. I participated some, but not nearly as much as some of you. So I dont have these 10 yr old grudges. I cant help but think that part of the reason why so many here seem to be anti Tatum is because they are anti Fierce, and Tatum is his guy. I cant help but think that back when Fierce called Brown "Igoduala" is because he has a 10 yr old feud w Admin , who is a Brown guy. Guys, let the past grudges go. The truth is Tatum vs Brown is 1 vs 1a. They are both freaking awesome, and thats why we won the East last year. Who cares which one we'd be more screwed without. With both, we are the Vegas favorites to win it all. You subtract either, and we're not. We need them both. We are very good. We should all love them both. I do (but I prefer Brown, he's just my guy).

Kevin McHale only made 1st team All-NBA once. JT making his 2nd 1st team All-NBA puts JT in the class of Larry Bird. I will fully give you that Tatum is in Larry Legend's class. He does have work to do; however, before he is in Pierce's class.

I saw another comment (I think by Elvis) that bothered me, saying Pierce needed a leader like Garnett. Garnett never ever ever ever ever claimed to be the leader of the team. He would argue with everyone every time they said he was. And it happened. Over and over. And KG always said the same thing. Unquestionably, Pierce is our leader. Cuz he was.
