Look no farther than how some posters think of Jayson Tatum, to see how right you are! It's just a matter of time. When JT gets a chip and an MVP then... "If"...

Look no farther than how some posters think of Jayson Tatum, to see how right you are! BARF.....!!!
fiercy and KyMama are quite the dominating and dynamic posting duo here at this obscure Celtic forum.
This twosome form an unholy and unshakeable mutual admiration society, so to speak, full of Celtic passion, wisdom and logic that the rest of us, with far less time on our hands, can only hope to possess and display.
Whom do these two most valued posters most remind us of?
(1)
(2)
(3)
If there is a 4th choice, and I consider Mutt and Jeff to be a non-starter, feel free to advise.... PM me if you want to keep it very hush hush.
More to come....
Pud
No PM, private message...nice to see you duking it out with the powers that be, but Tatum is pretty good...go easy and glad to see you more involved!... Go Celtics!...

Would an Olynyk reunion interest the Celtics? Unlike some of the other players on this list, he’s not on an expiring contract, but only $3 million of his deal is guaranteed for the 2023-24 season. Based on my calculations, a package of Gallinari, Griffin and Jackson would fall just shy of reaching the NBA trade limit for matching Olynyk’s salary, so the Celtics would need to add further money to the offer. That could be a deal breaker for Boston, which would then need to include Payton Pritchard, Sam Hauser or Kornet in the swap. – via Jay King @ The Athletic Trade, Kelly Olynyk, Payton Pritchard, Sam Hauser, Boston Celtics, Utah Jazz The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported again Monday that the Celtics have shown interest in Spurs center Jakob Poeltl. Jared Weiss recently broke down that possibility. Here are several other power forwards and centers who could be available at the deadline for one reason or another. Keep in mind: By combining the contracts of Danilo Gallinari and Justin Jackson with future picks, the Celtics could absorb almost $10.5 million in returning salary. They could add Blake Griffin to that same package of players to take back almost $12.8 million. Any target making more than that would require the Celtics to part ways with at least one player a little tougher to move on from. – via Jay King @ The Athletic Trade, Blake Griffin, Danilo Gallinari, Jakob Poeltl, Justin Jackson, Boston Celtics, San Antonio Spurs With Al Horford and Robert Williams signed beyond this season and capable of handling the vast majority of the team’s frontcourt minutes if they are healthy entering the playoffs, the Celtics don’t necessarily have an urgent need in the frontcourt. Still, they are expected to scan the league for another big man as the trade deadline approaches, according to league sources who were granted anonymity so they could speak freely. Though Luke Kornet has been solid this season, the Celtics are expected to evaluate options to shore up the depth behind Horford and Williams while giving Joe Mazzulla additional lineup flexibility. – via Jay King @ The Athletic Joe Mazzulla, Trade, Al Horford, Luke Kornet, Robert Williams, Boston Celtics in one of my many trade scenarios I had Boston getting Kelly O along with one of Bolmaro from Utah for I think Gallo, Pritchard ,Vonleh (like I said it was a while ago) and a second or two. But as most pointed out then Ainge is only collecting first round picks, so I find it unlikely he'll do his little Bro Stevens a solid. But I still think Kelly gives them what they wanted from the Gallo Signing, just not sure the cost to get him is worth it.
Looks like the Athletic did a piece on the subject - maybe a subscriber can post the story:
Could the Celtics target Mason Plumlee, P.J. Washington or even bring back Kelly Olynyk for a second stint? The Athletic’s Jay King examines some of the frontcourt trade options the franchise might explore.

I was able to copy a portion of that story but only got a small part of what was written about Plumlee. We know Olynyk and most have seen P.J. but I'm in the dark on Houston's Jae'Sean Tate. That said, I've pull up a video and some stats to see how he may fit and though his size (6'5" with a 6'8" wingspan) says SG, he's labeled as a SF/PF. A video and stats are posted below after the Plumlee write-up. Again, if anyone has access to the full story, please post the remainder of the report ... Thnx!
Celtics trade targets: Mason Plumlee, Jae’Sean Tate or a Kelly Olynyk reunion? By Jay King
With Al Horford and Robert Williams signed beyond this season and capable of handling the vast majority of the team’s frontcourt minutes if they are healthy entering the playoffs, the Celtics don’t necessarily have an urgent need in the frontcourt. Mason Plumlee
If the Celtics are looking for a big man to help them play a different style, Plumlee won’t necessarily fit the mold. He hasn’t shot a 3-pointer all season. His occasional attempts to defend perimeter players in isolation have not gone well. Playing him next to Robert Williams probably wouldn’t be an option.
Still, on a bad Hornets team, Plumlee has produced one of the best seasons of his career statistically speaking. He is averaging 12.2 points, 9.7 rebounds (3.4 offensive) and 3.6 assists per game while shooting a career-best 67.4 percent from the field. After a mid-career change of shooting hands, his lefty form can be jarring to the eye:
Here's some info on Jae'Sean Tate:
I suppose he could spell either Brown or Tatum though he'd be undersized filling in for Tatum at PF

The best get would be Naz Reid for the big and Alec Burks for the wing.
If the consolation prize is Plumlee then that's not bad at all!

It's not an "if", elvis. The chip is coming it's just a matter of "when", not "if". Do the basketball Gods whisper into some posters' ears and not others?
If not, how can they be so c0cksure of the future?
Perhaps fiercy, like the Pope, claims infallibility.
This claim of absolute authority coming from the poster who wanted...
...this guy^^ in green...
...leaving this guy in Philly.
What were the basketball Gods whispering in fiercy's ear in 2017 prior to draft day?
Curious minds want to know...

The best get would be Naz Reid for the big and Alec Burks for the wing. If the consolation prize is Plumlee then that's not bad at all! Burks would fit the bill as a back up wing who can shoot form the outside and play some level of NBA defense. He is also under contract at $10M this year and next (team option) which fits into Stevens MO for brining in players with more than one year on their deals. so what would be a deal that could make Detroit move off Burks? Boston has to send out just over $8M in salary to bring Burks here, so Gallo is the first piece. Gallo and Pritchard work maybe adding the highest second round pick we have this season could be enough, IMO. Boston would have two open roster spots then and could sign Samanic to a three year minimum deal (2-3 years team options or non-guaranteed) and still have an open spot for a vet big man who gets bought out. Great thing is Burks would give Mazz a 9 deep NBA rotation , instead of the 8 he has now. AL, Rob, Grant Tatum, Brown, Burks Smart. Brogdon, White

Brogdon, White Yeah, 9-man rotation with Burks replacing Hauser as the 9th man. Burks will be what the doctor ordered. And Naz will be the 3rd big who can step in every time Rob is down. Gallo, Jackson, and a pick or picks for Burks. PP for Naz. There are other ways Brad can do it, but IMO that's the best get. Plumlee and Jalen McDaniels would be a good consolation prize.

PP for Naz is too much, IMO. because Pritchard has another year left on his rookie deal.
Maybe Jackson and second for Naz's expiring deal...not sure Minny would pull the trigger on that.
also Not sure if Gallo and Jackson with a second would be enough , as Detroit may get better offers. That why I said Pritchard and Gallo.
But I'd take your plan for sure!!

Kyrie has been playing great, and holding em up since Durants injury. Gonna miss Marcus.
Hold Kyrie under 30 - get the win.

Celtics are -400 on the money line. Meaning, you'd have to bet $400 on Celtics to win to get $100 profit.
So certainly more than slight favorites. Thats heavy favorite territory (no jinx)

Rwill active in the shoot around! Will we see him tonight? Hope so! Claxton is too fast for Al and too tall for Dwill Claxton has improved greatly and has become maybe their third best player behind the obvious 2. He has a crazy good block %, he's improved his passing, and hes scoring 13-15 a game at a crazy efficient 75% fg% (leads the league). Whats even more impressive about his fg% is that he mixes in some hook shots to go along with the put backs and lobs (unlike Rob). He's good good body contortion so you are correct to worry about his ability to go around someone. Ultimately, if Kyrie doesnt keep in the game, I dont think Claxton will be enough personally. But thats no knock on him. If Kyrie plays excellent to keep it close, Claxton can be an X factor. But if Kyrie doesnt bring it, I dont think Claxton will matter. But Kyrie has been bringing it lately.
