Why were we down in the 1st half ... because Brown was tagged with 5 PFs playing both ends of the court or because of this:
The All-Star usually saves some of his best work for the Lakers but he found himself all out of sorts for much of the high profile matchup. He missed eight of his first ten shots including all four from beyond the arc, mustering just [8] points in the first 30 minutes of the game, a rarity for a guy averaging over 31 points per night. The slow start dug Boston a double-digit hole in the second half that they were able to recover once Tatum woke up, with the All-Star scoring 15 points in the final six minutes of the third quarter including nine straight at one point to erase the Lakers lead. He finished the night just 8-of-25 from the field but went 11-of-12 from the foul line.
Word to the wise: Get down off your soapbox and stop trying to make one star Celtic player into something that he's not.
Jayson Tatum already has all the accolades of a true NBA superstar. All that's missing is a chip. JT is chasing Larry Bird now. Last season JT surpassed Pierce as JT is the 1st Celtic to be 1st team All-NBA since KG in 2008. This season JT is a legit MVP candidate. If the Celtics end up with the best record then most probably JT wins MVP. JT is the closest thing to Larry Bird the Celtics have had since Bird retired. The numbers and accolades all back that up. A chip or two would just be the icing on the cake. |

Maybe refs thought it was just marginal contact, that's why they didn't call a foul on JT. Still nice to get away with one as we're so used to seeing the refs doing injustice to the Celts in the past. If it was the other way around, I guarantee they wouldn't have called a foul on LeBron! |

One weird thing in this game is the Celts got away with Brogdon guarding AD.
AD tried to back down Brogs, but Brogs didn't budge.

Brogdon has averaged 20 points per in his last 6 games! Plus that he's a leader and a clutch player! Easily our 3rd best player! Brad should be shopping Marcus! White and Brogdon are more than enough at guard!

Schroder rips referees after LeBron James’ missed foul call

There was plenty of frustration from the Lakers’ side as they’ve been hit by missed foul calls in recent weeks. Schroder took to Instagram after the game to call the refs out on his story, which can be seen here. The post was accompanied with a photo that showed Tatum hitting James’ hand on the layup attempt. “The refs gotta start getting fined for their mistakes!” the post read. “They also giving technical fouls to (people) who are reacting to their mistakes. The replay center should also use replay to get these calls right especially on important plays like the OBVIOUS foul on LeBron at the end of the game. This needs to stop. To lose 3-5 games this season off referees mistake is really hard.” Everything Lakers’ LeBron James said after Celtics loss, missed foul: ‘It’s ridiculous’ Of note, Schroder was also hit with a technical foul midway through the third quarter. Schroder was looking to stop Tatum on the fast break and appeared to touch Tatum on the play. As Tatum missed the layup, a whistle was blown for the foul call. But Schroder clearly didn’t like the call as he collapsed to the ground in frustration, which resulted in the tech. Patrick Beverley also got a bizarre tech Saturday while arguing James’ foul. Beverley brought out a camera to an official during the stoppage in play, presumably showing an image of James getting fouled. The official didn’t like that, though, which is why Beverley got the technical foul. It was an overall frustrating night for the Lakers as they fell to 23-27 on the season while fighting for their playoff lives. “It’s challenging,” James said. “Very challenging. I don’t get it. I don’t get it. I’m attacking the paint just as much as any of the other guys in this league that’s shooting double-digit free throws a night. I don’t get it; I don’t understand it.”
