And what about this dumbass testing? Did Al have covid for 1 day and miraculously recover? Do they test the 20 thousand people who are at the games?

Health and safety protocols and COVID are two different things. He could have had a close contact, that is dictated by the LEAGUE, and he has to have two negative tests in a row. As for the fans, DeSantis is still an idiot, but he does not control the league, and if a MIA player tests positive, they won't play, regardless of what mini-Trump says.

my issue with a short bench is how do you keep players ready and sharp if playing a 7 man rotation, yet 8 or 9 players are then needed? Al's age. RWill's health uncertainty. GWill's yoyo-ness. Given all 3, Theis, WHite and PP need to stay ready/sharp when, not if, called on Pros and cons for sure. But when White returns , it will be an 8 man roto w Smart, White, PP, Jaylen, Tatum, GWill, Horford, RWill Theis is a vet and a pro, I have no doubt he'll be able to be Theis if called upon. (Not that I particularly mind a few minutes here and there for him cuz he'll have fouls to give). But 1-1 in ECF, its time to focus on the short term. Beat the Heat in 6 and get your rest then. in theory yes. but Al has not played a large role in games in May in 3 years, and at 35, can he do so at a high level every night. Theis may be needed to give more than fouls. RWIll seemingly did something (again) to his lower body last game. Again, Theis needs to be ready and able to do more than foul.

No, but in TOR, for example, you can't even go to a game unless vaccinated. The team has control over that. Anyway, great win. C's in 6. White will be back, and we'll be even more prepared to take on GSW

If Tucker can't go Saturday, that will be a big loss for the Heat, and make it easier for Tatum and Brown!

Boston’s Jaylen Brown, meanwhile, would earn an additional $1.9 million if the Celtics win it all this season. Milwaukee’s Jrue Holiday earned a $1.1 million bonus last season when the Bucks overturned a 2-0 deficit in the NBA Finals to defeat Phoenix in six games. Celtics players privately described Game 1 as being “punked out of a win,” sources said, referencing that third-quarter meltdown in which Boston outscored the Heat in every frame except the third. The lack of toughness and attentiveness was called out by Smart during a timeout huddle in that pivotal third quarter. “It was devastating,” Smart told Yahoo Sports of that 39-14 third-quarter margin in which they compiled eight turnovers. “I actually got into the guys. I really chewed into them. They felt it and I felt bad for them because it’s one thing to be out there with your guys and then another thing to not be playing and hearing me come at them the way I did. So for me, when I inserted myself back in for Game 2, I wanted to come back and show the guys what I meant by my words and with my actions. I’m showing them I got y’all backs.” – via Chris Haynes @ Yahoo! Sports Marcus Smart, Boston Celtics, Miami Heat

his year’s best defender explained how he goes about working on the defensive end before he works on the offensive end. “I watch film with the team and then I start watching film on individual matchups that I could be possibly starting on,” Smart told Yahoo Sports. “I watch film by myself for at least an hour and a half. I just try to look at their tendencies. I try to look at what they do best. I try to look at what they don’t do, what they would like to do and what they really don’t do so much. It’s similar to an offensive player looking at the defenses and how they’re going to play them defensively. I do the same. You want to know how they’re going to play you offensively and how you need to play them. But Jimmy’s a good player. I’ve got my work cut out.” – via Chris Haynes @ Yahoo! I don’t know why you and Smelvis always have to bring up politics, but since you did I will respond. DeSantis is a great governor and he is certainly no mini Trump. Those that talk about a Trump DeSantis ticket in 2024 don’t know what they’re talking about because those two absolutely cannot stand each other. DeSantis would never run with Trump.

That is CLEARLY a shot at the vax policy, which is a political issue. That is how I interpreted it. If he didn't mean it that way, then it's my bad. But at best it's unnecessary sarcasm.
