I'm sorry Pud but if some team overpays for Smart that is the most logical way to get out of this mess.
It's Smart or Rwill.. You pick keeping Smart over Rwill? Fine i don't give a rats ass i threw in the towel.

Presti is not my man. I said that yesterday you miss a lot of shit.. Presti isn't going to change water into wine.. No one is at this point.. Better rub Lucky and light the candles and hope that he has Merlin in his pocket.... Yesterday you said youd prefer him over BS right. Figured you wouldve liked him over Ainge considering you hate him as well? Regardless if hes your guy or not...Youd take drafting KD, Harden, Westbrook, Ibaka in a few year stretch right? Like you said Rub lucky and hope you get lucky. Welcome to the NBA when you arent a FA destination i prefer you over Timmy.. When he quit on us as a coach that was the straw that broke my back..

Try and explain this. 90% here thought Stevens was a great coach..
Why in the hell would we let a great coach leave for an unproven one?.
Stevens couldn't run the locker room he admited it himself.. Burnout was the word.
So we make Burnie head of basketball operations.
Wyc is a flaming idiot is my conclusion..
Never mind.. Boston is now an equal opportunity employer.. We hired a black coach to meet the quota nothing more nothing less..

It had nothing to do with his coaching ability, clearly has he was overachieving in a good chunk of his stint here.

You dont need media commentary to figure that out. Never mind i was wrong. I was just a crew foreman for a Mexican construction company. Went to the owner and we went over the spread sheet.. My numbers are good i got .58% of my jobs finished on time. I of course admitted i was burned out and a couple of my top carpenters didn't like me because either i was the wrong color or my spanish isn't up to snuff.. The owner said.. No problem.. I'll make you the CEO give you a bigger office and a new mahogany desk.. All is well now....... Now after almost 70 years i have figured out how the world works.

I wonder how Smart and Rwill feel about this? .. Timmy is now in charge of their next paycheck.. It was easy to fool the Mexicans here they don't see me on the job either. What they don't know.. A couple arn't getting a raise and i'm shipping them to the salt mines in Siberia..

My only opinion on Stevens is that hes not the reason why the team was mediocre. Doesnt matter how Smart and Rwill feel, theyre replaceable

I know, but im saying if you want to build through the draft this is what happens. You need a lot of luck, and a lot of time. His drafting has actually been pretty good. You want to list the number of picks, but in the nba theres really only 14 quality spots to pick and even that is a stretch. He was in the top 6 three times, and came out with Tatum, Brown and Smart. Things could have been a lot worseIf Ainge's drafting or trading was so good.. Why are we having this conversation?
Why were picking those three so difficult?
Hell, we picked Brown here at this forum and it was down to Smart or Randle in that draft (you couldn't lose either way but some say Randle was/is the better pick) ... I'll give him credit on Tatum cause he passed on Fultz and held his breath that the Lakers wouldn't opt for Tatum over Russell and got who he wanted and that extra pick ... ballsy for sure and not many here saw that coming.
But, bottom line he made 1-3 tough calls ... anyone in the room could have picked Brown & Smart here.

Well I looked in 1 thread about the 2016 draft, here is your quote “If we intend to move the pick after the draft he had better take Dunn. If we are keeping the pick it s/b Murray but sources seem to think it's Bender, Dunn or Brown and I think DA is hot for that Winslow forward he missed out on last year. Here's hoping if it is Brown, he and Stevens are sure they can correct Brown's shooting mechanics and help him find the ceiling everyone says exists.“ Not that what you said was dumb, but it wasnt cut and dry Brown in the slightest. Brown id day was the back of the pack in that grouping. You have to give him credit on Tatum and brown and that is literally the only Hope the franchise has

Ya talking to the wrong person.. Smart was all that was left that year and a no brainer.. One of the all time worse drafts. It was between Brown and Brandon Ingram in 2016 and Ingram was picked before we drafted. I'm with you . 1 for 3 Tatum was a good choice i'll give Ainge credit for that. What pisses me .A lot of teams found gems in the middle or end of the ist round. We didn't find one gem with mid or late ist rounder .

That had to be early assessment ...
Clearly you didn't find the thread where I compared Brown to Bias. Me & Cabby were all over Brown down the stretch and Dee got on board and I think Hedley too ... sure their were some that wanted Dunn and I wanted Murray originally but again days before you'll find a long thread where I went on a tangent how Brown could be the next Bias or Jordan even comparing stats.

My recollection was the Brown pick was not so cut and dried, but he was by far the choice. There was some debate on who to take 3rd n 2017 (even first before the trade) Tatum, Josh Jackson or Isaac. They did well with both in my mind.
One question in all seriousness how many movable or crappy contracts do they need? Smart, Horford, Richardson, potentially RWill etc aren't enough?
