Anyone think Yam Mader is coming over this year?
Probably too soon ... doesn't sound like Brad wants to play prospects or have his new HC having to deal with that situation.

So I have been paring down what i think are realistic ideas for moves this off-season. Not including any "fireworks" here, just options that could make sense at a couple different levels to improve/balance the roster better
a Thompson trade first. He has a $9.7M expiring salary, so going to be hard to bring back anything more than another expiring contract or maybe a draft pick of some type.
some options I can come up with:
Sac- for either Delon Wright (8.5M expiring) or M. Bagley (11.3M expiring)
Kings need help at center even if they resign Holmes. Bagley could be a RFA the following year and Thompson may not be enough.
Tor- R. hood- 10.8M expiring
Toronto has a need for a starting Center and Thompson was born in the area. seems like a match easy to make
Chic- T. Satoransky- 10M expiring
Hard to see the need for Thompson at almost $10M when you have Vucevic on the roster, but who knows. One thing for sure brining in Thompson does NOT clear cap space for another free agent signing (ala Ball).
LAL- m. Harrell - 9,7M expiring
would be swap of big men only here, not sure what the Celtics get out of it myself.
The Knicks and Spurs can open up cap space to bring Thompson in for either a draft pick of some type or a lesser salary player. both teams have needs at Center as well.
MLE options
here I will list some players who i think may fit the tax-payer MLE of a bit under $6M this year. Some may be signed for a portion of that MLE, By position only
PG- P. Mills-SA PG- TJ McConnell- Ind PG- E. Payton- NY
SG- A. Burks- NY SG- W. Matthews- LAL SG- K. Bazemore- GS
F- S. Hill- Atl F- T. Craig- Phoe F- M. Harkless- sac
finally players who may only get vet minimum deals who may be options to boost the bench a bit
PG- B. Wanamaker- Char PG- R. Neto- Wash PG- I. Thomas- NO
SG- W. Ellington- Det SG- l. Galloway- Phoe SG- J. Green- Chic- RFA
F- R. Hollis-Jefferson- port F- Justin Jackson- mil F- S. Ojeleye- Bos

Mills wanted to be a Celtic last season but Danny snubbed him and got Teague ... Hmmm
Maybe Brad took note of his game in USA vs Australia.
Craig is on the radar but after this Finals he'll be on everyone's radar.
Both would be fine acquisitions.

Is Stevens over his burnout phase yet ya think? If Madar plays well in the summer league Stevens has no choice.. We have no PG on our roster

Well. For those trashing Fournier. He is basically dispatching USA. I like the guy. He is a smooth operator and can shoot better than tatum himself. Next...

Fiba is exposing the NBA. That non physical game with touch fouls is going to haunt the league forever. Same with ISO style of ball.

Looks like Beal may want to be traded to the Celtics. Smart, Sign and trade Fournier, Nesmith and/or Langford, throw in a couple first, may get it done! Beal, Brown, Tatum, Horford and RWill! Sign a couple cheap veteran8 shooters and let's play!

Current and former Cs boost Team France in Olympics by Andrew Hughes
While we’d love to sit here and complain about how Team USA has lost its first game in the Olympics since 2004 due to poor late-game execution, we’re going to take the healthier route and highlight the Boston Celtics-related triumphs of the shocking Team France upset.
First, we have to start with Evan Fournier. An unrestricted free agent this summer, Fournier boosted his value with a 28-point game masterpiece. It didn’t matter whether it was Draymond Green, Zach LaVine, or even his Boston Celtics teammate Jayson Tatum, Fournier got his from all over the floor. 16 of his game-high 28 points came in the second half, one that saw a 16-2 run for Team France to close the fourth quarter.
Elsewhere for the French national team, former Cs Guerschon Yabusele and Vincent Poirier showed out in supporting roles.
Yabusele was defending well and shooting with efficiency, showing an improved physique in the process. He had NBC Sports Boston’s Chris Forsberg pondering about a potential return to Beantown:
Given their interest in Nigel Hayes, perhaps Boston could register a level of interest in Yabusele as well.
Meanwhile, Poirier rebounded well and was aggressive for Team France, which was not a common sight during his one-year Boston Celtics stint. While the need for another big isn’t very pressing after the Kemba Walker deal brought Al Horford and Moses Brown to Boston, Poirier’s showing could be an audition for a team that may need a big body on the depth chart.
This wasn’t a good day for Team USA, but for American Celtics fans, it stung a little bit less seeing guys coached by Brad Stevens doing big things on the international stage.

I don’t know if Fournier ever even scored 20 points with us?
Team USA suffered its first Olympic loss since 2004 on Sunday, falling to France in its first group play game by a final score of 83-76. Evan Fournier led the way for France with a game-high 28 points on 11-of-22 shooting, including a clutch 3-pointer late in the fourth quarter that gave his team a lead it would never lose. France finished the Olympic opener on a 16-2 run.

We certainly didnt look for him much either and when we did, he knew how to bucket those. ISO and the Cs. I hope that under udoka, we become a team that shares the ball.
