Well, how about Baynes...a true banger and dirt dog...gave his all at a great value at $5M/year...tough guy from Australia...traded by Ainge to make room for giving dickhead worthless Kemba more money...like $29 M/yr would not have been enough for the worthless prick...
Baynes was not elite, but he was ours!...solid, determined, healthy...he delivered...
I forgot about him and “yup” I agree. Gone, but not forgotten...
sorry to perhaps use this phrase in an improper manner...

My first 21 years were in Maine and roots run deep so I am a Boston teams fan first….Sox, Celtics, Bruins, Pats etc….but returning from a military draft obligation through California I have stayed for over 50 years. Still come bask East, however, 2-3 times per year to family & better seafood.
It was difficult being here not to begin to like the local teams…49ers with Montana, Young & Rice, Giants with 3 World Series in 5 years and now the Warriors…love going to games and hearing "beat LA, beat LA” as the rivalry is similar to Boston & NY. And any time a Boston team played a local team I rooted for the Boston team.
But the Warriors who have won 4 in a row and winning tonight really have Curry but lost his duo leading scoring partner, Klay, have Old Green, of course, but a bunch of “no names” and could be the team we need to knock off the Lakers. My point also is that Steve Kerr is a VG coach!

ya know the last thing ya feel before you die..
A shovel full of dirt in your face.
How many times have you said Solly it takes more than ONE SUPERSTAR. At the minninum two... 50 OR MORE TIMES
Now its suddenly ok to have just ONE superstar and One young developing player? ..
You racked Fierce's ass for sayin Tatum wasn't a superstar yet.. Where is the other one or two?
Pretty much ends all this nonsence.. You are flip flopping and contradicting yourself.
Hang around please us old folks need the action to keep our minds sharp..

And, I do believe that 2 Superstars are needed to win a Championship. -------- Quite humorous but I saw a lot of people die & couldn’t stick around to see what happened to their bodies. But I share with you that many of their last comments were “Mamma”.

hey Cap.
I'm sorry for what you have seen..
I walked over dead bodies in Nicalandia two years back for several weeks.
.Watched them bleed to death on the back of an old Nissian truck in front of the hospital The hospital was ordered to close it was government run.
I was on the blue team the rebels till i realized it wasn't over freedom. It was only for money.
I joined forces with the Sandinistas and controled my street and their government building.
We had old Russian AKs and 2 9mm thanks to old Col Mario who pushed out the old Anastasio Somoza regime that the Americans were financing.
I wasn't mislead like you in Nam .. I helped stop the killings body counts came to be oppressive with the heat bloated bodies flies and maggots..
Not to mention rats and hungry street dogs taking bits of bodies laying along the river...
All wars are for money nothing less nothing more.....

No one needs read the following. This is in response to Dee’s comments about his involvement in Central America. So, has nothing to do with sports and is purely political and some historical information about me in Central America. I actually spent some time in Honduras in the 1970s & early 80s visiting a few Marine friends. Beautiful place with awesome beaches and did skin diving in the North Coast on the English speaking Island of Roatan. Many blacks from the Caribbean located here spoke their own language but English too. My friends were stationed at the Palmerola Airbase now called Soto Cano and an Honduran Military base now but we probably have 500-600 troops there but in the 80s maybe 2000-3000. Dee, you have much more experience in this area than I do but I believe it is mostly contemporary not 40-50 years ago. There was a big American presence in Honduras non Military called the United Fruit Company and for years the Hondurans resented the majority of the Banana profits(Chiquita) left the country and other than Honduran workers in the fields earning peanuts wages as none were allowed in Management. The ships were called the Great White fleet. Yup, I had American friends there in La Lima Nueva on the north coast where they had a large compound with golf & tennis courts, bowling alley, swimming pool, club house with bar and restaurants etc. It was like a resort for the American workers and families. Many Honduran politicians were on the bribe allowing the expansion of plantations on lands owned by local farmers to produce vegetables/fruits for their own consumption. With a few factors like some new labor laws, a banana disease, hurricanes, bribery disclosures, protests by the working population etc. the banana republics’ profits in Central America declined tremendously. Today bananas still are shipped from Central American countries but Ecuador and Columbia are the biggest shippers in Latin America. Their profits are major incomes for these countries now. Who knows what drug involvements they participate in At the time, the country of Honduras was like the sandwich filling between 2 pieces of bread, El Salvador and Nicaragua. The US had 2 objectives: Support the pro US Government in El Salvador and support the Contras against the Nicaraguan Government. They would not let the rebels of El Salvador take refuge in Honduras but the Contras could come in and many were trained by US Military. Some background…I had a few Marine friends at Camp LeJeune, NC, on 24 hr alert during the Cuban block aid when Kennedy and Kruschev were playing chess with missiles. Despite a nuclear war, the Marines feel ground troops will always be needed and were on alert to support the Marine Base at Guantanamo. So now with Central America, we did not want a Soviet expansion in the area as it did in Cuba. I am simplifying this as if interested you can research it for more accuracy or maybe Dee can if he wants dispute my information & add his or more information. The US supported government of Somoza lost to Ortega in the early 80s and he was supported by Castro. With so much poverty in the area I can see why the general public would not oppose communism/socialism taking away the wealth from few and distributing it. So, the Contras, Somoza supporters ,were now assisted with US training and weapons to try and overthrown Ortega. The Contras never won the war as it ended with a US backed truce declaration end of the 80s. El Salvador, although pro-US, was an ultra right cruel controlling government. Had it hands out saying it was anti-communist and that was all the US needed turning a blind eye to many atrocities toward women and clergy too. Had met some Nicaraguans & Salvadorans here working and many left their families behind. They said they could not remain independent, they needed to join one side or the other, the government or opposing side or they’d be assassinated. Again, we were involved not wanting the Soviets to expand on our backdoor as they did in Cuba. PS…Although a Marine, I was not involved in the Oliver North controversy…Arms to Iran to release hostages and the money given to the Contras to fight the Nicaraguan Sandinistas supported by Communist Castro’s Cuba. ======= Please, I’m not inviting a discussion about gun control but still wish to share the following: My opinion is a pistol maybe 8 shots and a single shot rifle both for protection. Automatic weapons to be fired at gun galleries only. From the World Health Organization The latest Murder Statistics for the world: Murders per 100,000 citizens per year. Honduras 91.6 (WOW!!) El Salvador 69.2 Last on the list: The United States 4.2 ALL (109) of the countries above America, HAVE 100% gun bans. Yours truly at the Hotel Honduras Maya, Tegucigalpa....1980. Attachment Deleted

Where is the other one or two? Pretty much ends all this nonsence.. You are flip flopping and contradicting yourself. Hang around please us old folks need the action to keep our minds sharp.. He’s not a super star, not sure how many ways I can say it. Harden is the best player on your team and Tatum is another highly talented player. That gives you the best chance now to be at the top of the East. There are no guarantees and it’s a huge chance that I would’ve taken. Huge risk but big reward. Other than that there’s not much you could do to the roster to make a big impact. Also I don’t believe I’ve ever said you need 2 superstars to win, I’ve said I only consider about 5 players superstars in the entire league. You might’ve made that one up. I think Durant/Kyrie, harden/Tatum giannis/Middleton and embiid/Simmons would be interesting and close matchups. Find me two superstars in one of those pairs. I racked fierce for calling JT and JB superstars, when they aren’t close. That’s clear to this day. Nobody has been more consistent on this team then me. I said I would’ve done the harden trade months back, I said this team wasn’t that good, I said JB/JT weren’t good enough to lead a team yet. I said changing the role players doesn’t matter and realistically, we are just going to have to wait a few years and hope this team reaches its potential. I’m no flip flopper sir, just because you don’t understand what I’m saying doesn’t mean I’ve switched the argument. Maybe a new prescription for your goggles are in order? The proof is in the pudding Che. Here’s my quote in December “No, in todays NBA the guys I categorize as superstars are guys who can win you a championship as the best player on the team. Lebron, Durant, Kawhi, Curry, and Id put Giannis and Harden there as well even though clearly they havent won anything besides MVPs. “

Brown, Smart and two FRDP's for KAT Move Kemba in a separate deal Umm. If we had better picks maybe. Smart has only one year remaining he would have to be resigned and traded is my guess. Che, are you flip flooping?? When I suggested this same trade, you accused me of sounding like a drunk!!

The more I think about it, I think Celtics management should sit down with Jason Tatum this off-season and have him watch every game of Tim Duncan’s career, and see how he carried himself and how he played. Duncan and Tatum have similar demeanors but NOBODY ever questioned if Tim Duncan cared about winning or making his teammates better, because his actions on the court spoke volumes. If Tatum can be remembered like Duncan is, that’s a hell of a legacy.

Crossdresser too.. Need a date? If my wife is in then I’m in you have a sense of humor. Our conversation just should move on. We'll see what if anything big happens and pick up later.. This senseless battle has ended. I'm not calling anyone a winner. Quaig and Boss both have put forth decent moves we need to make. Neither of us have.. Were fighting over Harden who will never be a Celtic..
