But che, that distributor has to have more than JT and JB to pass the ball to who are capable of getting buckets. That's a big problem we have. LaMelo dishing to GWill or Semi or Theis isn't necessarily going to result in better production because those guys aren't Washington, Hayward, Rozier, Bridges, Graham, or Monk. The distributor is successful because the distributee can convert the assist. yep i'll back ya 66,6%.. Semi and Gwill can't be helped.. Theis can.. So could Rwill Semi Gwill Edwards Waters Green and no show Lansford are outa luck. .6 players who shouldn't be on the team.. The killer. They are an handicap in a trade not an asset.

I dont know about that last part. I think the Celtics have 2 future elite scorers, while the Hornets dont look to have any. Sure Lamelo is a great playmaker, who will develop...But hes not a great iso scorer. In playoff series that is needed, and its the hardest ability to find. There arent many of them out there I think the Celtics could benefit from a point guard with LaMelos skill set though, like a Rondo...Who can get these guys some easier shots We don't have great iso scorers now, not yet. When you look at the production of our Jays, last night, for instance, their play resulted in several quarters with just 1 FG by one of them, which is unacceptable. LaMelo gets everyone involved and that's evident by the fact that almost 8 players are in double figure scoring. All it takes to derail us is to double JT or JB and " you got us figured out". You can't do that with the depth CHA has. Having two " soon-to-be" elite scorers (2 years out) still might not be better than having 8 " capable" ones and a " soon-to-be" elite ball distributor. The Jays had 29 and 28 last night, respectively, even with each of them having at least a quarter in which they scored only 1 FG. With an elite distributor like LaMelo distributing the ball to 7 other, capable players, they won't be as impacted by "elite scorers" having 1 FG quarters like we encounter on a frequent basis. Sure, I dont think they are dominant scorers yet either...But I do think their trajectory is more on line with that. I agree, their efficiency and shot selection must improve. But there are not many championship teams that arent lead by the cream of the crop NBA players/scorers. Have a guy that gets everybody involved is a great asset to have, but its never been the driving force of championship teams. Usually the team with balance gets beaten in the playoffs. Utah here is a good example, itll be interesting to see where they end up...but theyve been good for a few seasons and dont win in hte playoffs. Last year they had 5, almost 6 guys that averaged double figures

Semi, Grant, Teague, Smart, Pritchard
83 minutes played, 4-14 FG, 1-8 3's, 0-0 FT's, 12 rebounds, 6 assists, 1 steal, 2 blocks, 6 PF's, -26 (not a very useful stat, but interesting), 7 points.
TOTAL!!
As I've been saying like a broken record. We really don't need another "big" - RWIll - 12,7-10,0-0, 0-0, 9 rebounds, 14 points by himself - we need reliable bench scoring. Rinse and repeat!

I agree more with you now that Williams has emerged, but it wasn't always so.

Ijust might try to take a run at Lonzo from the Pelicans and then a couple of years down the line stick it to Jordan and try to use family ties to briong Lamello in. With their size, they don't both have to be point guards per se.

We have no pieces to trade that anyone wants is the real problem..

yeah I would rely heavily on draft choices, since Danny wastes most of them anyway..

I hope it's not "news" like LeBron bought part of the team or something!

Yes, and they got a Disabled Player Exception for him. OKC doesn't want him, either
