we have dominant players. Two as a matter of fact. Thry could show more but who is in charge of motivating its players? Year after year i see guys coming here to pin point to what we dont have but they forget to mention what we do have. Year after year same guys (myself included) come here wanting to trade. Now we are just losing talent that performs elsewhere. These talents escaping are IMO someone not trying to address the right guy. Here’s where I disagree...they don’t have 2 dominant players. They have 2 young players with high potential. Like I’ve said since I joined this forum is that we crowned them as superstars way too early. Simply scoring 24ppg doesn’t make you a superstar, these 2 guys have a long way to go in terms of being all around basketball players who control the game and make others better If you need to be motivated as a professional athlete, then it’s the athletes problem. How is it Brads fault they care more about the all star game than regular season games? They’re young and immature, they’ll Learn just like management. Just because you have the title of manager doesn't make you angreat leader. Two different things. And in a professional environment, a leader motivates. A manager just orders. Basketball is no different and yes at some point they will need an extra push, a motivator. A leader.

Caution: Your answer will determine whether or not you know shit about basketball.

You’re also talking about singular plays in a season. This team isn’t average because of singular plays I’d love for you to answer my question though. Are those guys no longer good coaches?

Anyone who thinks those guys double teamed on their own, with no direction at all, will never give Brad any credit for anything. Falling down was a fluke. Double team...........not so much. ECF last year, lost a key player, been battling injuries all year..............NOT on the coach. I'm sure after Westbrook terrible miss, they knew he wouldn't shoot again. Or they hoped he would, so they left him to double. Basically they faked guarding him and as soon as the ball came in they totally left him for dead.

Who would have thought he would have made either of those?

That's like in ping pong when people ask me which is more important, the blade or the rubber. The answer is, either can ruin the racket if it's bad enough
But I guess players are more important.
Anyway I blame Danny for not getting championship caliber bigs. That's who I'm mad at

This team isn’t average because of singular plays I’d love for you to answer my question though. Are those guys no longer good coaches? Ok. My friend. You have no credibility whatsoever. We all know that NOT doubling Luka was a mistake. Your refusal to admit that eliminates any credibility at all about this Celtics team.

I think Tommy once said players win games and coaches lose them.

So maybe you just misremembered the play? He hit two incredibly difficult shots and you just blame the coach out of laziness. But can you answer my question? Or do you want to keep avoiding it? I do appreciate you telling me how much credibility I have though, I take your opinion very seriously

But if you are talking about doubling Luca as a principle, he is is much better passer than Beal. So it is a more difficult decision.

Don’t see how doubling somebody 30 feet away from the basket is a good idea, even so they tried to trap him as he hit an off balanced 3 in on 2 guys. So the argument is pretty ridiculous. It’s just blaming Brad to say it’s the coach

Not answering your ? because you never answered mine.

The point is to make him pass it, lose time on the clock and have it in the hands of an inferior player. Teams do that to us all the time!

Not answering your ? because you never answered mine. So they tried to trap him and he shot it as the trap closed in. Made a 30 footer. Should Brad have tackled him to make sure he didn’t shoot it? So you say it’s brads fault for not doubling, but they in fact tried to double but Luka shot it too quickly from 30 feet away. So it’s Brads fault now he doubled too slowly? Luka decided to shoot instead of passing, don’t see how you blame anybody, guy made a great shot I’ve answered this a few times now, I’m not doubling anybody 30 feet from the basket. Especially with passers as good as Luka. Now you can answer my question

8:54 he should have been trapped.
9:16 there should have been a trap waiting.

As you can see that last shot was help defense and not a trap.

So funny, this is nitpicking to the highest order. The guy made 2 incredibly low % shots, one of which was on 2 guys. Luka simply saw the help defender coming and shot it before the double team happened
I think they should’ve triple teamed him

Do you think you’ll ever answer my question you quoted or did you want to continue avoiding it cause you know it flies in the face of your logic? We can cry all we want about a guy making a 30 footer on 2 defenders and say it’s bad coaching. We can also rewatch the game and say every single bad play a player made cost them the game as well?
