So those who saw game 5 saw what it takes to win. Focus and grit. I felt that the Celts were a little too cool inside the bubble. That is why want these young guys to hear it. This time it was not OK. Hard to focus when Smart suddenly shoots a questionable shot in crucial situations. The Heat always made sure the ball went to Jimmy Butler in crunch time. Celts still need to establish a hierarchy when it's crunch time.

Even if we get Morris back, who would be playing in the last 5 mins of the 4th? Tatum Brown Kemba Smart Hayward Morris That's 6 guys and none of them can guard Giannis, AD, or Bam. Again, plug the hole in the middle first before we add depth to the team. Morris can cover Bam, Giannis, LeBron Cannot cover: AD, Embiid Which makes the point for keeping Kanter. But Im not married to Morris. Miss his toughness. Good versatile bench forward. I agree prob wouldnt start at the 5 (but could in most matchups). I just like that he could be had in a sign and trade. Helps us aquire him, despite already being over the cap, witout giving up much in return. But you kind of need to want PG13 too to make it work, and I guess Im alone in that.

IND has the second lowest payroll in the league. Oladipos' "big" contract is 21 mill next year. That would put him fourth on BOS ( with no trades of players, just an example). I cannot find ONE article where the PACERS (like Marcus Morris) have said they want to trade him. No, if Victor wants out, it is because HE wants out...............

J. Michael Falgoust: Victor Oladipo and the #Pacers have talked, I’m told, a couple times recently. As for the coaching search, there’s no rush to wrap it up. Could easily be a few more weeks 14 hours ago – via Twitter ThisIsJMichael Coaching, Victor Oladipo, Indiana Pacers

Oladipo’s contract is up after the 2020-21 season. Since January, there have been rumblings among my own league sources about Oladipo’s openness to a trade. Oladipo himself told rapper Fat Joe that he values winning over being a team’s best player. Does Indiana offer the best of both worlds, or does Miami, the city he already trains in and calls home during the offseason? This is assuming the Heat would even want Oladipo, who didn’t look like an All-Star this season after his return from a major knee injury. Any team interested in Oladipo, including the Heat, should probably wait. But Miami has options as it awaits a disgruntled star who wants out. 2 days ago – via Kevin O'Connor @ The Ringer Top Rumors, Trade, Indiana Pacers, Miami Heat

I'm up for most anything maybe even PG 13. Don't see any avenue to find 35 to 38 mil the next two years unless it's Walker. Morris is a dirt bag thug KY is right and we have one thug already in Smart. I have no desire to mirror the Pistons of the 80s..

Now he's a dirt bag thug. Before he was just a malcontent, which I debunked.

I have said that I feared the dual championship victories of the Yankees & Lakers. Personally, I’d been less unhappy with Yankees getting it than the Lakers but now on to Miami winning 2 in a row. They say that sometimes it is better to be lucky than good. Green had a open look at a 3 with about 15 secs left and it hit the front of the rim and fortunately did not go forward...a lucky miss....but my heart went to my throat as they got the rebound and the rebounder instead of taking the shot tried to toss it to Davis in the post and it went out of bounds...Whew !

?!!!! Didn’t get any of the references. Sorry I'm driving. Bad voice recognition. I was trying to say Lonzo needs the ball and Kimba would have to play off of it I am proposing Lonzo as backup 1, replacing Wannamaker. Kemba and Lonzo will see minimal time together. We could put out a lineup of Lonzo, Hayward, Brown, Tatum and Theis at times. That would be a perfect switch happy defensive unit. Sufficient offense as well.

The problem is as a backup point guard he's going to be out there with one of the four a lot of the time and that's not enough Firepower. You certainly couldn't or wouldn't play him with Marcus, but Marcus could be part of the trade

Can't have Smart as the #1 option in crunch time.

Steven's obviously doesn't have the''' balls''' to tell Smart. It started long ago.. We've all been bitching about Smart taking bad shots for a few years.

For his salary and 6th man role, trade him to get better fitting pieces. Just that Lonzo has signed with Klutch Sports. So keeping him beyond 1-year may be tough.

Would the Knicks take Kemba for the 8th pick?
The Knicks wanted to sign Kemba last summer.
Good deal for both teams.

Keep Kemba. Possibly trade Smart. Keep both J's. Possibly trade Hayward. Build up the bench, start RWill. Theis and GWill off the bench, along with a backup PG and 2 snipers.

So both hedley and ky are leaning towards trading Smart and keeping Kemba.
Reason why I want Kemba traded for the 8th pick is so that the Celts can use the 8th pick as trade bait.
It also opens up some cap space by removing Kemba's contract.
Hayward must then opt out and agree to a smaller contract with a longer duration.
In this scenario, the Celts will keep both Smart and Hayward in the staring lineup and the Celts can now trade for a guy like Myles Turner.
Turner Tatum Hayward Brown Smart
No more midget the opposing team can exploit.
