You know what I noticed, the Heat dont give away possessions. We do. We turn the ball over more. Also, we sometimes shoot long 3's w plenty of time left in the shot clock. Or we go one on two and take a contested 2 w plenty of time on the shot clock. The heat dont do this, they look for a high efficiency shot, every play. And they are more careful with the ball. By the end of the day, it adds up. Its a lack of urgency on our part. Especially when we get a lead. Then its "bad shot time." Or "get too fancy and turn the ball over" time. So frustrating.
We're down, but not out. Sure, we've backed ourselves into a corner. Sure, the odds are now that we wont advance. But we're not done. I like us to win game 3. Then Gordon might come back game 4.

Celtics are -3 at the open to win game 3. We were -1.5 the first two games.

The Celtics are done. I thought this series would go 7 games. It's not going 7. I would not be surprised if we got swept in 4. We have NO ANSWER for the Heat, offensively or defensively. They are the better team and, honestly, they have better players. Pat Riley did a wonderful job constructing this team. They look more like the GSW model than we do. Nothing will change this series, including a less than 100% Gordon Hayward. The Heat have way too much for the Celtics. But this will be a valuable experience for this the Celtics. This should be a valuable lesson for everyone, players, coach and DA. DA needs to get the players best suited for BS's system. I'm already hearing a rumor that Hayward is gone to Houston for Gordon, Covington and a draft pick. Hopefully they win a couple and make this a series. Honestly I want nothing to do with the LeBron coronation ceremony the Finals will be.

Unpopular opinion, but do we really need a center? Do you know when the heat turned their season around, when they stopped playing a center. You know when Toronto was at their best? WHen they stopped playing a center. If Gordon comes back for game 3, I would strongly consider rolling with Kemba, Smart, Jaylen, Gordon, Tatum.

I like that they are unhappy with their play. They are downplaying what happened and what was said, but it needed to be said, and they were all there, including the coach. I love Smart's fire. They should be mad. It should be 2-0, instead of 0-2. Lots of problems to fix. Especially on D, which is all heart and effort. And complacency. When we get up 10, we should want to get up 20, not take the foot off the gas.

Play every possession like the game is tied. They do.

Agree. I wrote yesterday we don't shoot, rebound, move the ball of defend well. But we are great on turnovers and fouling.

Duncan Robinson has the best contract (team wise) in the league. 1.6 mil, and a team option for next year. Many teams missed the boat on this kid, including Danny. Was JaVonte Green undrafted? Who would you rather have? I know it's two different years, but that's not the point

Jared Weiss: Gordon Hayward is progressing toward returning for Game 3 of Celtics-Heat after feeling good in Wednesday’s post-practice workout, a source with knowledge of the situation told @the Athletic. Also just read (finally doing hoopshype again, so you're all in for it.....lol) Romeo played one minute and got hurt. This kid had a wash of a rookie year. Another reason Danny should make a trade this year. He'll be like a rookie again next year/

Thank You. One of my favorite all time movies. I recall when we were up over 10 pts I said let’s thrash the SOBs for having come back game 1 so they don’t think they can do it again. Well, they bombed Pearl Harbor again !!! Brad should show this clip to the team Smart should be John Belushi.

WHen they stopped playing a center. If Gordon comes back for game 3, I would strongly consider rolling with Kemba, Smart, Jaylen, Gordon, Tatum. The Celts did that against the Heat in their first meeting in the bubble. Didn't work out for the Cs as the Heat increased their lead and the Celts ended up losing that game. Celts don't need a traditional Center. What the Celts need is a Center like Capela. RWill has the potential to become like Capela, but it's going to take time. What the Celts should do is roll with Smart, Jaylen, Hayward, Tatum, and Theis. That way the Heat won't be able to exploit Kemba on a mismatch.

Celts have nothing to lose now.
They might as well give it their all and maybe a minor miracle might happen.
It's still 0-2.
One win could turn things around.
I don't think the Heat have better players.
The Celts just don't have the tools to counter the Zone.
When the 3-point shots were falling for the Cs, they had a big lead.
It's when the Celts start missing 3s that the Heat take control of the game.

The Heat, right now, have "more" better players. Six players in double figures, and we had three.

This is not good:
Boston Celtics’ Marcus Smart and Jaylen Brown had a heated confrontation inside that locker room after the Game 2 loss and needed to be separated by teammates, multiple sources told The Athletic. Sources told The Athletic that Smart stormed into the Celtics postgame locker room saying that other players needed to be held accountable and not simply point the finger toward him when things are going wrong. As Smart continued and his voice grew louder, sources said Brown snapped back and shouted that Celtics players must stay together and that their actions must come as a team, not individually, and that Smart needed to cool off. Those sources added Smart had verbal exchanges with a couple of the assistant coaches during the game. – via Shams Charania @ The Athletic Jaylen Brown, Marcus Smart, Boston Celtics

As Smart began to blow his gasket, ESPN’s Malika Andrews and the Boston Globe’s Gary Washburn tweeted about the situation in real-time before the rest of us media folks arrived to take a look. It had been nearly 10 minutes since the tweeting began, and you could still hear the yelling coming through the door. Before then, a Celtics assistant coach and a team security official made the mistake of opening the door mid-argument and letting all those f-bombs escape. In the minutes that followed, the security official and the team’s media services manager, Brian Olive, stood at the door waiting for the storm to pass while the postgame media routine was temporarily put on hold. At 9:55 p.m., approximately 30 minutes after the game had come to an end, it was finally safe to enter. – via Sam Amick @ The Athletic Jaylen Brown, Marcus Smart, Boston Celtics

“That team is together for 48 minutes,” Brown said of the Heat. “I think we’ve yet to do that. I think we’re capable. We need every piece, everybody, to be all in and to continue to bring that energy, is what we’re gonna need. But I think this series is far from over. I’m ready for Game 3. I’m ready to come out, because that’s what it’s all about. Backs against the wall, ups, downs, fight. – via Sam Amick @ The Athletic Jaylen Brown, Boston Celtics, Miami Heat
