I am a Bruins fan though! Thanks to Bobby Orr! Love my B's too!...basically all Boston teams, though I moved out of there at age 6...visits back to the East and going to games with my Dad and Uncles...follow the West teams, but dont bleed for them...would visit Boston area and just bury myself in the Globe sports section every day, devouring the Sox stats...and at Christmas sometimes and read all about the Celts and the Bruins and take my beatings with the Pats...

Garrappolo would still be a Patriot if Bill had his say ... but Kraft owns the team and it was his decision. And the right one at the time as it brought us another championship. The only problem with losing Jimmy G was that Bill put more value on putting him in a good situation than getting back fair value for the Pats. Rumors were that Cleveland had offered 2-3 1st round picks at the beginning of the year and by the time we traded him we only got a third round pick ... ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png) Really Bill? I agree it was probably the biggest steal in NFL history. But I don't know if on a humanitarian basis Kraft knowing Jimmy G sat on the bench for a couple of years and Brady stated he wanted to play a few years over 40, allowed the kid the opportunity to lead his own team & SF was not in the Pats' division so maybe this influenced him. I wished after Montana & Young era that the 49ers could get Brady. The area is his hometown and he was a Montana & 49er fan growing up. They'd won a couple of Super Bowls as did the Pats with him. Heck, I wish the 49ers drafted Rodgers instead of Smith and then failed to win a SB with Kaperjerk! They'd won a couple too with Rodgers. Lately we've been talking politics and football on the Celtics Forum...I guess I'm OK with that but Politics and Sports should be separate. Good point...traded JG out of the conference, and no way was BB going to send JG to the mess that is Cleveland...

It can happen. I'm a Celtics fan in KS. If okc had a team back then I wouldn't be probably. You could be a fan of a certain player or once upon a time like my fav mchale As a kc fan, I'm happy to get Houston instead, but maybe that's a mistake I thought you were an Okie...rooting for KC now...and the Niners/Vikings...unfortunately one of those two will be gone today... Yup, the Niners are gone from playing today!

As much as the Patriots should love the Seattle Seahawks and their coach, Carroll, who in 3 years with the Pats had a bit better than a .500 record, I hate them as they have been a nemesis for the 49ers past few years. Let's face it...we'll never know, thank GOD, if Marshan Lynch would have scored the 1 yard run to beat the Pats in the SB but I thank Carroll for calling the pass play that got intercepted. Heck, they were on the 1 yard line vs the 49ers in the last game and had Lynch ready to leap over the line as he did previously to get a 1st down but they got a stupid delay of the game penalty for 5 yards and were stopped on the next pass play at the 1/2 yard line. Needless to say, I'm a Philly fan today.

I like Brees too and they got hosed last year when a blatant pass interference was not called as they were on their way to score. But, be careful what I wished for as Pats did not score prolifically with only 13 pts but held the Rams to no TDs and only 3pts....doubt they's done that to Brees!

All dynasty's must end!! I bet they'd like to have Jimmy G back!! hey dumb chit, we won the Super Bowl last year...think that would have happened with Jimmy G?!...how are you even supposedly a Celtics fan?...
Jimmy dumb chit stepped into a tackle at the sideline in stead of going out of bounds and missed all last year due to the injury...
Not all of Celtics fans reside in the New England area and/orPats fans. I’m born and raised in LA. Rams fan since 79. Hate the 49ers and spy gate patriots. Go Celtics!!!

Not too many Pete Carroll fans around here SF ... and all of New England is certain Lynch would have scored and we're thankful that Pete out smarted himself as he did often while here. And I saw that clock mismanagement as well and thought to myself, typical Carroll led team. Laughed as they pulled Lynch out and had to bench him needing a pass play after the penalty ... what putz's.

Will Brees lose another big game?
20-10 Vikings end of Q3.
That's the difference between him & Brady. Brady won the rings and Brees the stats records.

So you obviously are not aware that the whole 'spygate' thing had to do with a memo that BB ignored for the first game because it was not actually an approved bylaw...and that it only had to do with the location of filming, and that most coaches came out on BB's behalf and said that every team tapes...
Let's not even get into 'deflategate' during which all the opposing teams balls that were tested (only 1/2 of them because they 'ran out of time') were also 2 lbs low in pressure...TB was fined for non-cooperation even though the guy in charge of the investigation said that Brady fully cooperated by supplying all texts, which of course were leaked to media (arguments with his pool guy, etc...), so much for trusting Goodell...
Don't let facts get in the way...
At any rate, I am glad you are not a Laker fan...

Kinda nice with no Celtic game to find some wishing to discuss the NFL playoffs here...better than politics. I hope I'm not happy what I wish for as I may not need root for Philly as if Vikings win, SF would face them as they are the 6th seed. But they are playing terrific today and actually they were on the 1-2 year line and didn't score and kicked a field goal. Hate to bring up an old wound but the Pats did too yesterday on the 1 yard line with first down and couldn't score and kicked a field goal to put them up 13-7 and I said a TD puts Tenn ahead and they went right up the field to go 14-13 so I felt it may comeback to haunt them not having the extra 4 pts. ...it did come back to haunt them.

It's a waste of time to defend "spygate." Haters ignore the fact that the entire NFL was doing the same thing and love to hang their hat on that to explain our consistent winning (something as stupid as stealing signs via videotape when any putz could sit in the stands with a pair of binos and log the same info with a pencil). Yeah, that's why we have 6 superbowl championships ... we cheated, LOL!

SF, inability to score from the 1 was indicative of the Pats season in the 2nd half. Once we killed all the crappy teams the 1st half of the season it went downhill from there as we played the better teams ... all of a sudden that greatest defense of all time didn't look so great and the offense was stuck in the mud as Brady seemed to avoid the rookie/green receivers in favor of forcing passes to banged up/double-teamed Edelman while Sanu (Sanders was their 2nd option) looked like a bust as replacement for Gordon & AB. The running game was inconsistent more on the line than the backs in my opinion. No Gronk and only a 39 yo Ben Watson to depend on at TE ... Brady was a man on an island.

Cousins did his part (panic) to help the Saints ...
A FG now to tie for Saints with 7 secs left ... it's good.

WOW ! 49ers play the Vikings. Don't know how happy they should be about that as Minn played very well. I'm confused. I recall OT was sudden death and then I thought it was changed a couple of years ago where if the team first with the ball did not score, the other team won on any score. If the first team got a Field goal, the other needed one too to continue play. Same with a TD, So if both tied each other by neither scoring or both getting Field Goals & TDs, then Sudden death would be in effect.
