Huh, a logical maneuver. But then Jordan will have to play with the bench cause I see lbj and IT playing as few concurrent minutes as possible.

The Clips might give up Jordan if the Cavs include the 2018 Brooklyn pick.

The Clips might give up Jordan if the Cavs include the 2018 Brooklyn pick. That will surely make them a strong contender. But I don't see that happening unless LeBron commits to extend with Cavs.

Man, I would think they could get more with that pick and Thompson. I'm not a big Jordan believer although I could see how he fits that situation. I don't think anyone else would give that much.

I think that Thompson is done. He will add no value to other teams. He is a fill-in piece around stars. So, dumping him and getting a nicely fitting player may need that pick. It will be a lottery pick but, perhaps, not that high. So a trade becomes more feasible. Yes, there is the possibility of winning the lottery. But if LeBron commits, the Cavs will likely trade that pick.

Should be a win for the Celts.
The Cavs are playing the 2nd game of a back to back.
IT is also not playing.
I will not be surprised if the Nets vs. Celtics is more exciting than this Cavs vs. Celtics game tonight.

See, I disagree. I don't think this will be a Celtics win. We have played so inconsistently lately and although the Cavs have loss their last four away games, they'll put it together tonight against us. Last night, their big guns did not play a lot of minutes so they'll be up for this so-called "statement game".
And they have bench depth that will prove the difference. If we cannot match DWade, Korver, Thompson and Jeff Green off the bench, we won't be able to compete.
I predict we'll do our customary "get down by 16-20 points" and then work to close that gap but eventually fail and lose handily. If we make it close at the end, it won't be a moral victory because we will have most likely been thoroughly outplayed for the majority of the game.
I would not be surprised by a Celtics win but I just don't see our bench matching their bench AND we'll probably get a "dud of a game" from Baynes and two of either Horford, Brown or Tatum (two of them will likely be non-factors).

Moral victories don't count for squat. There is no such critter. What counts is who plays best for the last 6-8 minutes of the game. So give each team 100 points and fast forward to the 8 minute mark of the 4qtr.... and go at it. That's when the game turns serious and things are actually decided. Attachment DeletedPrior to that, teams are simply scrimmaging... kind of like Rollerderby. Attachment DeletedIts the last lap that counts. Pud

I think they start with Smith but they'll throw Lebron and Crowder at Kyrie too. It'll be guys like Tatum and Brown who will have to exploit their match-ups. If Smith opens up on Kyrie, Brown has to abuse Calderon and Tatum has to outplay Crowder. You know Crowder is coming in ready to perform tonight. I also think we start Morris if he's ready to go. Unfortunately that takes more away from our bench.
You have to expect guys like DWade, Korver and Jeff (please, no pressure) Green to have an impact off the bench. We'll need Smart, Rozier and Theis to at least counter their production.
Our bigs cannot get outplayed in the paint (points, rebounds mostly). (Horford, Theis, Baynes) have to be better than (Love, Thompson).
It is going to take a monumental, total team effort to get this win. Unfortunately, we have not seen a total team effort for 48 minutes in a while from this team.
Tonight would be a great time to start.

Davis likes NO from all accounts Who wouldn't great city friendly folks best food and music in the USA. Downside most corrupt police force in the States. That and the Pelicans desire to build around him are the driving forces that will keep him out of Boston. As far as the league they would love it Davis in Boston brings more revenue and excitement than in NO.Lots more. Get ready to lose Brown and or Tatum Smart or Rozier possible also. and at least two first GOOD round picks. Switch another key two or three players ever year That don't work. I am ok with anyone but Tatum and Kyrie being traded...

Unless Haywood comes back, we ain't gonna beat the Cavs because it's even up on points....Irving about 30 and IT and Crowder at least 30. Crowder is having a really bad year. IT is more concerned about dissing the Celts on social media than winning.. Even up? Two players that combine to total one players output. Even up doesn't work like that where I come from....... That is called 2 for 1

Yes Pud. The last lap will determine the winner. Last year we never made it to the last lap however.
IT lapped up all the gravy before anyone else sit down to eat.

I agree with Petey. We need to keep their bench in check. They have 7 players averaging double figures. 2 of them are out tonight. We need to limit, IMO, Green, Smith, and Shumpert.....and keep Khardasian off the offensive glass!!

Back to back games by the Cavs plus travel to a frozen Tundra.
I'm betting on the Celts tonight. 7 pts Celtic are favorites seems a little much however not betting the bank.
Our bench has been a little better recently especially Rozier . Theis has played well to in very limited action.

Rozier has been up and down. I like him, but if we had to count on him night in and night out, we are in trouble.
Theis is good every game. I love him. He just cannot be counted on to score. If he can improve that, he could be the find of the year. Semi is also up and down. We need someone with no conscience, like Lou Williams. If we can add someone like that, then we are legit THIS year. Otherwise, I'm more than content to wait for Hayward next year. Next year we are in the conversation for the title....period!

IT ends with 17 points in 19 mins If he remains healthy, the Celts are in trouble if they face the Cavs in the playoffs. I think the Celts can beat the Cavs, in the playoffs, this season. But IT will make it very difficult for the Celts. I am predicting the Cavs will win it all!! You heard it here first! IT and LeBron will be unstoppable!

That is called 2 for 1 I am just tossing some points math at you. Irrespective of Crowder's bad year, IT should score 20 and Crowder 10 for 30 of the points and Irving 30 for the wash. Then LeBron will score 30( whom else do we have who will) and then Love, Wade & Korver ( all double figure scorers) will provide the major balance of the Cav's scoring and it'll be more as opposed to the scoring from the balance of our team !!!

Well yes they have better scorers I agree 100%.. We have much better defensive players. Love Thomas and Smith and Korver play little D. Wade is old and not the defensive player he used to be.
I see a 7 game close series. Us wining. IT might get 20 but his shooting % in the finals falls every year.
If Stevens can't advantage of IT's no defense i'll be surprised.
