... Washington acquired Marvin Bagley, Isaiah Livers and two second-round picks from the Pistons. On Detroit’s side, it was able to unload Bagley’s contract for future salary cap space. However, the league-worst Pistons also parted ways with draft assets despite needing to rebuild the roster.
Now, Muscala and Gallinari will look to help the struggling 3-36 Pistons. Detroit went on an NBA record 28-game losing streak before snapping it, but it’s currently on a seven-game losing streak again. Former No. 1 pick Cade Cunningham is also hurt amid some cold days in Detroit.
On the flip side, the Wizards aren’t that much better as they’re 7-31 on the season. Regardless, the two former Celtics will be onto the next stage of their career.

DET has 4 centers and 5 SFs now ... if they waive Muscala does Brad pick him up again? Now that he's been moved off WAS the C's s/b able to reacquire him.

Per hoopsrumors.com
The Raptors and Pacers are engaged in serious talks about a potential trade that would send power forward Pascal Siakam to Indiana, The Athletic’s Shams Charania and Sam Amick report.
Indiana’s package would be built around swingman Bruce Brown, other salaries and three first-round draft picks, according to The Athletic’s duo.

Well, I heard that was because Siakam refuses to give any kind of committment, verbal or otherwise, that he will sign an extension with any team.

Trade is happening as we speak, per Wogj: Siakam to IND Brown, Nwora and 3 FRDP's to the Raps.
The Raps are now officially, as I stated a week ago, in tank mode!

I don't think he helps the Pacers all that much! I've been wrong before, though!

I disagree, I think 3 FRP's is pretty good for a guy who likely would sign elsewhere after this season. IN fact unless the Pacers are sure he re-signs with them , the might have given up 3 firsts for half season rental. now that a bad trade if that happens

Kuzma has a nice contract that decreases over the next 4 years ( to something like 11% of the total cap).
he might be a good get for some team wanting a second scoring option at the trade deadline.

Per hoopsrumors/com
Former Raptors center Christian Koloko has a blood clot issue that is threatening his basketball career, Shams Charania of The Athletic tweets.
According to Charania, the NBA told teams today that Koloko was referred to the NBA’s Fitness-to-Play Panel, which means he is unable to play or practice in the league until he is cleared.

Kuzma is borderline China bound. not sure what that means? he's a fine as a teams third best player on the playoff team or second best on a lesser team. and with his contract that decreases each year now, he's paid accordingly. I was not saying he should somehow come to Boston ( they would have no way of trading for him even if they wanted), but for lots of other teams on the playoff cuff he might be a nice trade pickup moving forward.

and Jrue is on his downside ( at $30M plus I might add), they are all still NBA players of some various ability's to me.
I forgot to add all three of those players have rings, something the Jay's are still searching for right now.

Hornets To Trade Rozier To Heat For Lowry, First-Round Pick by Luke Adams
The Hornets are trading guard Terry Rozier to the Heat in exchange for Kyle Lowry and Miami’s 2027 first-round pick, sources tell Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN (Twitter link). Shams Charania of The Athletic first reported (via Twitter) that the two teams were closing in on a deal.
The 2027 first-rounder will be lottery protected, according to Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports (Twitter link). If it lands in the top 14 of the ’27 draft, the Heat would keep it and would instead send the Hornets their unprotected 2028 first-round pick, Fischer adds.
Rozier is in the midst of a career year. His 23.2 points and 6.6 assists per game through 30 appearances (35.5 MPG) are both career highs, as is his 45.9% field goal percentage.

Rozier takes too many shots and does not make his team mates better. he and Ball together would have never worked. moving Rozier is addition by subtraction. I can see the Hornets trying to move Lowry quickly.
I have been very pleased with the C's bigs on the bench. Kornet and Q are playing well enough for me to opine that a player like Muscala is not needed. Gallo could be interesting, if he can still play. my onloy potential doubt with the C's is of course health, and then Hauser. I like Hauser a lot, but if his shot is not falling, is Svi enough behind him?

Desperate move by Eastern Conference contender should cause Celtics no worries By Dylan Thompson | Jan 23, 2024
The Boston Celtics have reached a level where they are far and away the best team in the Eastern Conference. With that comes teams that are desperate to match the Celtics and often make rash decisions. In the case of the Miami Heat, on Tuesday morning, they traded Kyle Lowry for Terry Rozier. The move does not entirely move the needle for the Heat and there are questions about how much he will help them. Once again, the move should cause no concern for the Celtics and their pursuit of Banner 18. Let me start by saying that Rozier is a good player and an upgrade over Lowry. Rozier was excellent for the Celtics, especially during the 2018 postseason, but that was a long time ago. Now, Rozier is essentially just another Tyler Herro, which is why I don’t see his fit with the Heat. More importantly, the Rozier trade should be a sigh of relief for the Celtics. For most of the offseason, the Heat were the favorites for Damian Lillard, and they have been in rumors for Dejounte Murray and Donovan Mitchell. For the Heat to be mentioned with those calibers of players and come away with just Rozier is a huge win for the Cs.
Despite 2018 Boston Celtics run, can Terry Rozier perform in postseason?Even though Rozier is a better player than Lowry, is he more reliable in a playoff game? I would fear Lowry in a playoff game far more than I would Rozier because Lowry has won a championship and been on multiple NBA Finals runs. Although Rozier could flourish in the Heat system, I wonder how good he will be for them in the postseason. It will be interesting to see how the Heat fare with Rozier this postseason. Ultimately, the Celtics should not even give the trade any thought as they still remain a leg above everyone else.
