This one's for Texas & Tennessee ...
Smith & Wesson moving into new Tennessee headquarters in late 2023
Smith & Wesson shared it is leaving its Springfield-based headquarters due to a state-proposed law that could prohibit the company from manufacturing certain firearms if enacted. The gun maker founded in 1852 (older than the Civil War - 1861) is currently centered in Springfield, Massachusetts, a state where company officials say legislative proposals would prohibit them from manufacturing certain weapons.
A proposal in the Democrat-led state Legislature would extend the state’s ban on the sale and possession of assault weapons or large-capacity magazines to also outlaw manufacturing them in Massachusetts, unless it’s for the military or law enforcement.
“While we are hopeful that this arbitrary and damaging legislation will be defeated (it wasn't defeated) in this session, these products made up over 60 percent of our revenue last year, and the unfortunate likelihood that such restrictions would be raised again led to a review of the best path forward for Smith & Wesson,” Mark Smith, Smith & Wesson CEO, said in a news release.
One of the reasons to head to Tennessee, the company reasoned, is its “support for the 2nd Amendment.”

The gunmaker will have company in Tennessee: Officials say the state is home to more than 20 small arms and ammunition manufacturers.
TN recently tried to oust three Dem Legislators looking for gun reform. But now you know why - their efforts for change in TN are praise worthy but in vain since a deal was cut by the GOP controlled pols there with Smith & Wesson. That $125MM facility will be online late 2023 and nothing will stop it now ... NOTHING!
Why am I getting moar & moar pissed off with what's become nearly daily, random shootings? There seems to me a connection between Supremacists (not just white now), Neo-Nazis and Anti-semitists. These groups, long small and detached, are now growing/combining and their message is devouring our youths, downtrodden and mentally manipulated with online messaging and media reports that serve only to provoke and incite regardless of how accurate they may be.
They are getting closer to power with invites of their outspoken activists to speak at public events and will be appearing this week at a Trump hotel in Miami, FL alongside Trump family members and former White House administration types. This kind of recognition only serves to give credibility to those activists and plays to those potential future terrorists who are currently on the fence.
And Texas has done everything possible to make these killers the best armed terrorists in America. The most recent TX Mall shooter wore a "RWDS" patch just like the Proud Boys. In case you aren't familiar with RWDS, it stands for "Right Wing Death Squad." He also had a swastika tattoo over his heart.
And now Tennessee will house the manufacture of assault rifles and large-capacity magazines. Things will get worse before the pendulum swings back to normalcy and the only way we get there is through the voting booth and I fear most of you and I will long be gone before we get to see it!
Ok, so maybe this is a political statement but you can tie "kicks" to roundball. After all, pumped up kicks is a reference to Dee Brown's Reebox Pump basketball sneaker. The poor kid referenced in the song can't afford some "kicks" that costs 2X the usual "kicks" to be part of the "cool kids" so as an outcast he will get his revenge.
There is a sense with Game 5 that, "where there's smoke there's fire" so as Ice says ... "Check Yourself" or be prepared to be "F'd in the azz" sans the vaseline!
Maroon 5 finishes it off with "Memories" of those we've lost ... a toast to those no longer active on this forum, our relatives and friends we use to enjoy these games with and unless the Celtics smarten up, they too could be included in our toast.
The only "killing" I want to see today is the Celtics killing the Sixers on the court in TD Garden but sadly it's just been reported that a child playing hide & seek in a small town in TX near LA who inadvertently did so on a neighbor's property was shot in the head by the homeowner ... Ugh!
... and so it goes "Living in the USA!"
