You think Brown is that good? Bias was a better collage player than Jordon and might have been just as good a pro. If that's the case he's a steal at the three pick. I don't really know ... I just was intrigued by his inside game and numbers which made me go back and look at Bias's video & stats and I was surprised that noone had seen/made the comparison ... unjustified since Brown had one season and Bias proved himself over 4 but he'd certainly be the closest player we ever had to Bias. Basketball's generally a big man's game and that's why I prefer long and tall like Bender but if this guy turns out to be the next MJ we will all ask ourselves how we passed on him.

Indeed but isn't it uncanny how similar their games are and stats as well ... the #2 didn't post good numbers as a freshman but broke out in his 2nd year (maybe red-shirted or just Lefty's way). If Brown can do this in his 1st year it made me wonder if he could be that guy we never got in Kedrick Brown or the #2. If he's that good, then, yes take him. Just keep him away from Lefty.......who I always suspected knew more than he let on! Those were the days when Rayful Edmond controlled the cocaine market here in DC. Everyone in town knew of Rayful including Lefty John Thompson and quite a number Senators and Judges. Thompson was the only person to approach Edmond and demanded that he not be seen with Morning or any Georgetown player. Edmond honored Thompsonsrequest which was made public and Bias's death turned public opinion against Edmond who was know as The Gentleman Drug Dealer before the days of gangs.

I really like Brown because he is a dynamic force, buuuuuuuuut he can be shut down offensively easier than Hield who just knows how to beat defenses AND has an unstoppable will and skill from deep.

But that's because half his starting 5 were out that game ... no PG or SG to spread the floor for him. That loss was a fluke as Hawaii only had to concentrate on stopping Brown and he couldn't do it alone.

There are so many upgrades in my opinion to the players we have right now it's hard to decide but, looking at what we need the most, we need shooting. So, that means Buddy Hield or Jaylen Brown or Jamal Murray. But I really like Marquese Chriss. I would mortgage current players/picks and future picks to come away with Buddy Hield, Jaylen Brown, Wade Baldwin and Marquese Chriss.
Chriss is the PERFECT new age power forward. Agile,3 point consistency, shot blocking, rebounding, dunking OVER people.

look I watched Bias while at Maryland. There is no doubt he would have been a very good pro player, but he would NOT have been anything close to Jordan.
He didn't play much his first year, because he wasn't good enough to get more playing time for Lefty. and yes back then many of the college coaches knew their players were coked up all the time. Most people that worked at the Maryland athletic program knew who the drug dealer was that dealt to the players.
Fortunately Len Bias drug overdose ended that for the most part (for a while anyway).
Bias was a PF and he didn't have much of an outside game. I am not sure he is a good comparison for Brown myself.
But Brown is one of about 4-5 guys who all could be the pick at #3, depending on who picks there.
Bender Chriss Murray Hield Brown
to me they are all bunched up together talent wise there. Pick the one that's works best for your team works at #3 in this years draft...IMO

The Lakers are taking Hield. I just know it! We better take Brown in that event and try to pick up Chriss later on.

Bender will take 3+ yrs to find his and Murray is 1-2 yrs there. Chriss has a high ceiling but a lower floor. Brown is the guy that can be a Superstar and worth the risk of not getting there if you want your GM to swing for the fence.

to tell you the truth..i'd take brown before chirss any day. Agree After all the research I've done, I've come to the conclusion that even though Murray is a strong fit, a safe pick and will have a long NBA career that the player that has the most potential to become a Superstar is Brown. I've been flip-flopping back and forth always coming back to Murray but now I think I'm ready to pull a Larry Bird and go with Brown at #3.

#13 Hawaii versus #4 California. (I should just stop here and drop the mic) Jaylen Brown played 17 minutes, he scored 4 points to go with 7 turnovers and 5 personal fouls. I watched that game and most of his fouls were offensive fouls- he puts his head down and recklessly tries to barrel his way to the rim. He can't shoot, and his half court game is dead weight. However, drafting him still sounds better than trading away all of our assets for Jimmy Butler.

Seems like everyone, including Flakely, is getting excited over Brown's second scheduled workout, tomorrow. Why? They're working Bender out again on Tuesday. How's Brown's workout any different? Here's why- Brown was AWFUL during his first workout. But ever since then, scouts have been raving about all of his other workouts. So the C's are sort of giving him a second chance, which obviously makes sense. WHY the so-called experts, like Chad Ford, are revising their mock drafts now? Ludicrous.
