As I said, I'm in discussions with another forum hoping they will let me set up a link to their forum for the Bruins. If they agree, you will need to join their forum (not open to guests since they are very large) and then will be able to move back and forth from a link at the bottom of any page here or if you click "Help" at the top of the main page here it will take you to a proboards help page ... at the top you will see some picks and one labeled "Directory." That pick takes you to all your username links for each proboard/freeboard forum you are a member of. You can have a username for as many boards as you like as long as they are not the same. You can also access any board from that directory. If this Bruins Forum will not let me link to their board I can post their link and you can join there if you'd like ... they average about 125 replys and 1000 views each game so you should find very active discussions there.

Since you need to register there and they need to agree to add a link to this forum for you to move back and forth I have added the link to the bottom of the page already. The link will take you there but as they are not open to guests you will need to register and wait about 1 day for approval. Once approved you can use the link here.
Tip: If they won't add the link for this forum on their site, you can change forums by clicking the small arrow to the left of the lower right "schroll bar" arrow at the extreme bottom tight side of your screen. There will be 3 picks there ... Switch Acct, Switch Forum & Acct Settings. If you click the Switch Forum pick you can then select this forum as your destination to return.

I got a message from the Bruins Board Admin and they like the idea of being connected ... they have closed to guests as I used to do to keep trolls out hence the need to be a member there just to be able to lurk.
In an effort to get them to open up to non-members so you guys can at least hop over there and browse I will inform them how to keep trolls from commenting while being open to the public as I've learned how to do that as you know.
Maybe when they add our link some of there guys will visit you guys once in awhile ... if any trouble makers show up, just let me know and I'll take care of it but I'm hoping this gives you guys another option and maybe brings some visitors over here as well.

Admin , you sure they know about who is on here. ? and who will be in charge? .. Are you taking credit for keeping everyone away? If it remains civil here, as it has, then even if a few come to partake in discussion and you guys get to know some of their other members and visit there once in awhile it will be a success. Nobody's in charge unless you mean we manage security on this forum while they do so on their forum. Nothing wrong with that. Their admin has the same concerns as us ... trolling. Keep your nose clean when commenting there and they will do so here or the troll tools come into play. PS: Got a message from their Admin tonight. They know who is here. He says you have been banned from commenting there and I suggested that letting you read w/o commenting couldn't bring them any harm. I also told him that you understand the rules here as well and if members there came over here to comment that any initiator of conflict would be dealt with by our usual means ... warning, time-out, extended ban and then complete ban and account deactivation. It's best to use the "Block" feature when you anticipate trouble with another poster so it doesn't even reach the warning level. They are waiting for one more member or moderator to express an opinion then he will decide. I promised him that I would not let the link disrupt either forum or else I'd agree that both forums should terminate the link. We shall see ... if we get turned down then it's on you, haha!

I'm going tell you admin that those posters are no strangers to us...I will not go on their forum , if they want to come here with good intentions. No problem. ......but I'd be very skeptical .. hey admin nice work though. !!! It's a good sized big forum, at least as big or bigger than this one ... 200+ 175+ members. It was born from the BDC forum but I don't think BDC had that many members on the Bruins forum did they? And if there are members there that you have had issues with in the past, remember, that was the past ... these are both new forums so you s/b able to avoid conflicts with old enemies using the BLOCK TOOL while engaging other posters. I had personality conflicts with Fierce yet I had no reservation in letting him become a member here. I know that the tools on these ProBoard forums are much better than how BDC was managed and if it fails at your level you can always step it up to my level where we have warnings, time-outs, inactive accts and bannings (both temp & permanent) when needed. I'm not asking you to go there ... it's just an easy-option access route to visit there if only to read. People change ... You are much more reserved and easy to get along than when we started here. You had a chip on your shoulder and I'm sure that came from past dealings with old adversaries but time heals "most" wounds so lets be optimists and see what happens before nailing the coffin shut.

Admin .if they want to come no problem I got banned? ? Of course they were the moderators over at BDC.and controlled those forums. Just I'd be careful their intention might be simply to take over. .

Not likely as I approached them not the other way around and it would be impossible to take control here unless I handed it to someone. They are more worried that by linking up people here will create trouble ... but as I said, they can prevent guests from commenting and decide who can become a member there by IP address so I see no reason for it not to work.

FYI: I've updated the themes for 1) mobile users using the "White" theme and 2) Bruins fans using the "Bruins" theme to enable forum jumping from this forum to 1) Patriots 2) Red Sox and 3) Bruins forums hosted on ProBoards/Freeboards servers. You can find these links at the very bottom of the page in the center if you are set to "desktop." If that doesn't work, I've added a thread for mobile user "forum links" which is at the top op every page as an "announcement." I hope this helps our mobile users looking for quick access to the other Boston Sports Forums in the ProBoards/FreeBoards directory.
(The Red Sox and Patriots have similar links at their forums to enable you to return here when done there - hopefully the Bruins forum will follow suit and all three boards will be interconnected for all users from all forums to be able to interact with each forums members soon).

The admin at the Bruins forum as notified me that they have agreed to link forums. I can't say when they will add the link at their end but it is already up and running at this end.
I understand that I may have to take some bad for the greater good of the members from both forums and will be monitoring the Bruins Boards regularly for any sign of guests whose only intention is to harass others there. Please don't add fuel to the fire by engaging with any of the bomb throwers as I will act quickly to stifle those with anything but good intentions. If you do engage them, you could find yourself getting the same treatment from me as they will ... That's the last I will have to say on the matter. Going forward I will be all action and no talk!

The BDC moderators were employees at Boston Globe. No participants or posters at BDC were moderators ever. Totally false.

I could be wrong but pumpsiegreen was a moderator at BDC and I think he was a volunteer. The same might be true of BostonTS on the Celtics board there. I've read a few guys on the Bruins board saying they were mods has well ... whether they were BSing or not I don't know but it seems plausible and makes sense.

The people that run the Bruins forum, the one you want to link this board too, did not work for BDC.

This Badhab post confirms it ...
"I guess its the worst kept secret in the world, as many of you already know I was a moderator on BDC as well.
Many of you wrote to me directly requesting that so and so (and it was usually Msrco) be banned, but I went easy on the ban option. Sorry I didn't ban more troublesome people, I thought they would out their act and also many of them leave on their own.
But I did remove a fair number of posts, probably most were Marco's.
Anyone think of volunteering at the Celtics forum as moderator? I would not post there, I would only moderate so I could be a "fair" referee and not have any dogs in the fight."
Hahaha ...

This one from Nas
"Hahaha. I was a mod there also! I would spend half my time reading and writing posts and the other half deleting Msrco's. F that guy. I never removed a hockey post but oh man did I laugh when he'd flip his lid over something I deleted."
Bdc based on Bias.... no wonder I never fitted in .

He is a Panther fan tuff to fit in with him Marco.Cant say that I ever fit in either. If you ever said anything negative about the team or a game you were labeled not a fan.Really coming from a Panther fan.Yes I did go over there to check it out last season ,but to many idiots for me,posted a couple of times on the Trump post but as far as talking hockey no interest in going on there. If some were to come here I'm ok with it but have a feeling it will just be to cause trouble.
