I say there's a 90% chance we trade out of the 1st round! Brad hasn't kept a 1st round pick since he took over! 99%

JB ain't no dummy, he voted it in, then signed the largest contract in NBA history!! JB was just one of many players . CJ McCollum is President and i think every team has an rep. nbpa.com/leadership/. Whats interesting most of the team reps will never sign a max deal. The owners won as i see it just like corporations win over employees Silver seen to that and made 10 million last year and got and extension till 2030 that probably pays more....... Politics as usual...... That's why real basketball competition can only be seen in the Olympics. The NBA is sports entertainment.

I say there's a 90% chance we trade out of the 1st round! Brad hasn't kept a 1st round pick since he took over! 99% 100% Why keep #30 when you can downgrade to #31 or lower. All 1st round picks are going to get guaranteed contracts. Not good for a 2nd apron team. So there's really very little difference going from #30 to #31 or 32, 33 even.

kdp59's mock encourages me to trade down from #30 along w/ #54 to TBlazers for #34 & #40 ... #34 Mogbo and #40 Chomche Then I swap a future 2nd with Pacers for #49 and pick Bridges Now I have a future Wing/PF/C ... We should trade down for Chomche he might go higher than anticipated . Bridges is fine too we always agree. This is interfering with my Sox game.. Later

The new Media pack is 76 billion and the owners reap the most rewards. Franchise rising value is outpacing the stock market by a large margin. Cuban must have got bored to sell his majority stake.

Great comeback to win 7-6!
Cora said park was the loudest since 2021 then qualified that of course because we have stunk the last few years ... Haha! So true.
Chomche: Yeah, I have FOMO and we better get into top 10 in round 2 if trading down to get him asap. I haven't felt this sure about a pick since JB.

Looking at Baylor Scheierman's Potential Fit With Celtics Ahead of NBA Draft Sam LaFrance | 11 Hours Ago
Kyle Ross-USA TODAY Sports
The Boston Celtics currently hold picks No. 30 and 55 in Wednesday's NBA Draft. After putting together a championship season, the Cs will be looking to find some new faces to bring to Boston.
According to HoopsHype's "Draft Workouts Tracker," the Celtics have invited 29 prospects in for pre-draft workouts, including Creighton senior Baylor Scheierman.
The draft experts over at No Ceilings NBA projected the Celtics to take a swing at him with their first-round pick in their latest mock draft.
Scheierman stands 6-foot-7 and weighs just over 200 pounds. He appeared in 35 games for the Blue Jays last season, averaging 18.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per appearance. The 23-year-old scored his points in efficient fashion, drilling 44.8% of his attempts from the field, and 38.1% from beyond the arc.
The Nebraska native seems like a great fit for Boston, especially with their roster being at an elite level. In fact, he has a very similar skill set to Sam Hauser, whose contract is set to expire after next season (unless he and the team negotiate an extension).
Many have compared the NBA hopeful to veteran forward Joe Ingles. The two actually have identical-looking jump shots.
Scheierman has proven to be a consistent threat from beyond the arc, even if he's a few steps behind the three-point line. His 38.3% clip from distance came with a high volume of attempts at 8.8 per game, which is always a positive.
When defenses aggressively close out on him, the swingman has proven that he's comfortable attacking off the dribble. He not only is able to create looks for himself, but also does a great job of finding his open teammates if the oppositions sends multiple bodies at him.
Though "The Ringer's" Kevin O'Connor called him, "solid defender who puts in excellent effort and plays attentively," Scheierman still has room to grow on the defensive side of the ball. He needs to improve his lateral quickness if he has any hopes of slowing down NBA wings.
It's not hard to see why Boston has interest in Scheierman, but he isn't someone who seems ready to jump right in to the rotation -- at least not for the reigning champs.
Regardless, landing him with the 30th pick would be good value for the Celtics. It feels like they'd be getting a development project who could play real minutes sometime down the line.

Looking at Tyler Smith's Potential Fit With the Celtics Ahead of NBA Draft Sam LaFrance | 10 Hours Ago
Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports
There isn't much time left before the Boston Celtics will have the opportunity to welcome a pair of young prospects to their organization. The Cs hold picks No. 30 and 55 in this week's 2024 NBA Draft.
A name that some fans have been excited about is Tyler Smith of the G-League Ignite.
So far, Boston has invited 30 prospects in for pre-draft workouts, according to HoopsHype's tracker. Though Smith hasn't been amongst them, he could still fit nicely into what the Celtics should be looking for.
The 19-year-old appeared in 27 games for the Ignite last season, playing about 22 minutes each time. He averaged 13.4 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game while shooting 47.6% from the field and 36.4% from beyond the arc.
At 6-foot-9 with a 7-foot-1 wingspan, Smith has tons of potential to become a versatile defender in the NBA. He's shown that he's got some unreal athleticism, which should help him in that part of his game. Unfortunately, he's a bit raw at this point. According to "The Ringer's" Kevin O'Connor, Smith is a "nonfactor on defense who often looks lost out there." He added that the prospect lacks both strength and toughness when it comes to paint defense.
On a more positive note, Smith is a player who experts feel has tremendous upside. They believe he can develop and become impactful on both sides of the ball. He's proven that he can shoot threes comfortably off of the catch, which is something that Boston would be asking of him whenever he is ready for minutes. Smith's athleticism allows him to be a lob-threat as the roll man as well, potentially making him a great weapon in the pick-and-roll.
For now, it feels like Smith has a ton of work ahead of him before he's ready to play real NBA minutes -- especially for the champion Celtics. However, picking him could still pay dividends down the line. If Boston is able to develop him properly, Smith has the potential to become a cheap rotation option on a team with a lot of its money tied to its stars.

I agree with others who feel that Brad's history says he will trade out of the first round.
the only caveat would be IF someone falls or is there the team has rated as a future starter. but in this draft drafting at #30 or in the mid 30's may get you the same level player.
IF he does trade down one team that may make some sense is Indiana who has picks 36, 50 and 51.

Only 4-6 workouts have been reported ... sounds like they are keeping it quiet which tells me they are serious about a few players they could get. Brad quoted early today that they will use #30 if the right guy falls before trading down. He also indicated that they expect to use both picks for future depth to help reduce their cap.

From what i read, Dunn is climbing the charts. We can scratch that one.

I'm liking Mogbo, Chomche & Bridges in Rd 2 and hoping that Filipowski or either Smith or Shannon fall to us in Rd 1 Cant be mad if Fiilipowski falls to us just because hes a modern big and Mazzulla runs a very modern offense. Ditto with Holmes and Ware. Shannon is clearly innocent and if that unfortunate event causes him to slip, I think you are onto something. His character is not a concern. Smith I dont know much about cuz he didnt play NCAA. I wouldnt hate Scheierman. Ive seen him play A LOT. And that kid can really shoot it. So many NBA 3s contested, still wet. Might be a little redundant with Hauser but 6'7 sharpshooters - hard to have too many. He also rebounds, passes, and plays hard. I even wouldnt mind Kolek but I doubt he makes it to 30. He's a better version of Pritchard. More hardnosed, gets a lot of steals (which Pritch doesnt) dives for loose balls, and has a clutch gene. Ive seen him hit a ton of 3s. Hes also a better passer than Pritch. I think he would be an immediate upgrade. I wouldnt mind Justin Edwards. He was like the #1 recruit last year and had a disappointing year at Kentucky. But #1 recruit in NCAA is appealing to me. Dadiet is a late growth spurt guy. Guys who played PG and were short so they were PGs then had a late and huge growth spurt. You guys have convinced me Chomche is worth considering.

big boy. sweet kid. nice comment. pure honesty there Dont hate me for saying this - but this is why I cant get on board with the character/maturity concerns on Tatum that creep up sometimes. Can you see Tatum drinking night before a big game? I cant. Hes not a vocal leader but he works out like a fiend. And what do other guys do when they see their captain putting in work in the weight room? I would be surprised if Tatum ever has more than 3 drinks. He's also a good dad and good character.
