Like the Celtics, game 2 was a must win for GS otherwise they'd find themselves on a trolly to L.A. down 0-2. Rice a Roni !!!
For the Lakers, Lebron came out on fire. Davis on the other hand looked like Tatum on Wed night with a hangover from being the primary scorer on Tuesday. L.A. won Q1 by 7pts (33-26). But the good times shifted to the Warriors in Q2 as Klay was the red hot pistol in this game scoring 38 for the night with 8 threes. At the half, GS was up 11 on a 41-23 Q2. The fun continued in Q3 as the Warriors outscored the Lakers 43-24. If my math is right, that's a 30pt lead going into Q4.
Lakers threw in the towel early deciding to rest their core for their Home game on Saturday (ABC @ 8:30pm) ... Curry played more of a distributor in this game but still had 23 for the night. Looney was ill so Davis should have dominated but JaMychal Green and Dray held him at bay ... San Fran Bay in fact cuz AD was a ghost (11pts - 7rbds - 3 blks - 4 tovs). Other than Lebron the only other Laker who came to play was newcomer Rui Hachimura (21pts).
So, like the Celtics, GS blew out the Lakers by 30 (could have been moar but the starters were pulled with 8 mins left in Q4) after leading by nearly 40, and have tied their series 1-1 looking to win at least 1 game in L.A. to regain HCA.
Go Warriors!
