One of our huge problems is we show no poise. We're big time whiners! Mitchell Robinson had a great block of a Tatum dunk attempt. On re-watch, Tatum had the nerve to "begin" to complain before realizing it was a good block. It's like, if he misses a shot, the first thing he does is look for the ref to say something or gesture. There was very little contact on his converted dunk - he wasn't pushed from behind with 2 hands. Had he missed, the ref "may have" blown the whistle. But since he converted the dunk, PLAY ON. On at least a couple other occasions, he had very little, if any, contact. Surely not enough to effect his shot. He obviously got fouled by Randle on his 3-point attempt. But, so what. You get some calls and they miss some calls (see Lebron last play vs Celtics - Tatum obvious foul). It happens. Our problem is that we are an immature bunch of whiners. Brogdon had more to whine about than anyone last night. Smart took a wild shot from the corner and literally stayed in the corner arguing with the ref instead of sprinting back on defense. Grant fouls Randle on an AND1 and first thing is animated gestures. How can these guys expect any level of foul call treatment when all we do is cry every single play? We never foul and we're always getting fouled. Tatum, Smart, and Grant, in my opinion should be T'd up more until they learn their lessons! Mazz needs to bring up Udoka’s words, "you play, I'll argue the calls"! I always thought arguing the call or non call was for the next one. especially a star like Tatum. if he puts it into the ref's ear, the next time mostly will go his way. Grant barking only aggravates the ref's and gets Grant nor the team anywhere, other than a pissed off ref

the Muscala trade means that any more bigs are redundant now , for good or bad. At least in my opinion.
as to why Green, Ross and Barton choose others teams?
My guess is our owners refused to pony up that DPE exception for any of them. D. Green got a full $2M ( rest of the MLE Cleveland had open). K. Love (not that he's needed here) got $3.1M or the Bi-annual with Miami. Toronto still has over $2M of their MLE left ( Barton's salary is not on spotrac yet).
Ross seems to be the only one that signed for the pro-rated vet minimum.
SO if Boston wanted him they could have offered more. But I don't think they offered ANYONE more than vet minimum, no matter what the cheap owner said.

We are literally repeating what we did last year. What can we expect come playoff time from Hauser and PP? They will be huge liabilities on defense. Also, don't understand why Muscala hasn't been seeing much time lately either. Seems like a lot of pressure to put on Brogdon as the only addition that will definitely be in the rotation. I was really hoping to get a better offensive option at the wing than Hauser. Oh well, this is who we are. Maybe Snell or Valentine take that last spot. We need to rest our guys now. We only have Grant, Moose, Brogs and White as our bench. And the health of Rob and Horford remains in question as well. And Smart? IF we are healthy, we will be tough to beat. But it's now on the coach to give them some well earned rest. Rest? They just came off the all star break. How much rest is needed? They're now second in the east with no signs of the Bucks slowing down.

However, when the whining comes after every foray to the rim or contested jump shot, it starts to fall on deaf ears. It gets to the point where the refs are not gonna let Grant Williams or Marcus Smart influence their calls. Same for Tatum when he throws a temper tantrum, waving his hands and jumping up and down after a non-call. Honestly, there is only one way to get calls.....and that's to go hard to the rim with intentions to dunk every time. And quit standing at the 3-point line shooting 3's thinking you're gonna get calls.

But JT and JB cannot continue playing the minutes they're playing every game if you want them fresh and ready for the playoff grind. I think they need to have their minutes reduced. That way, the bench players get more time and can get into a better flow, instead of coming in and out in shorter stints. And Rob needs to play no more than 24 minutes per game. He seems to get ineffective the more minutes he plays. And with 3 or 4 more back-to-backs on the schedule, that will create rest games for Horford and Rob. I wonder if this team will be able to get itself into a rhythm down the stretch. MIL, with Middleton ramping up his minutes, is rounding into form at the right time. We need to do something to start playing with some level of urgency down the stretch.

I hate it when people bring facts to a nice emotional argument...

We're worried about fatigue and resting the starters now but Mgmt/Coach will keep leaning on starters for a top seed to avoid fatigue in the playoffs ... Makes sense, I guess...we sure did have a hard go in the playoffs last year...long series against all the best teams...

Now that's CHEAP!
So we can agree that he didn't sign here cuz Wyc was the cheap one ... if we offered him $300K he'd be a Celtic?
