Celtics injury report: Five players listed for Wednesday’s game vs. 76ers
By Brian Robb | brobb@masslive.com
The Celtics should be getting some help back in the starting five for Wednesday’s showdown with the Philadelphia 76ers in the team’s final game before the trade deadline. The team announced on Tuesday that Jaylen Brown (illness) and Luke Kornet (ankle) have been upgraded to probable for the matchup after both missed Monday’s win over the Pistons.
Marcus Smart and Danilo Gallinari both remain out for Wednesday’s contest while Rob Williams was also listed as probable due to an ankle sprain after tweaking it during Monday’s win. Smart has already missed seven straight games with his ankle injury and his chances of returning before the All-Star Break next week are reduced by the day with just four games left for Boston before the extended time off.
Joel Embiid is the only notable name on the 76ers injury report as he is questionable due to left foot soreness. Philadelphia will be well-rested for the matchup after two days off following a loss to the Knicks. Boston currently sits two games above the 76ers in the East standings after their victory on Monday night. It will be the first matchup between the Conference rivals since opening night which Boston won 126-117 at TD Garden in Joe Mazzulla’s head coaching debut. Robert Williams missed that contest due to his offseason knee surgery.
Wednesday’s game will be tip off at 7:30 p.m. ET and be televised on ESPN nationally and NBC Sports Boston locally.

I'm watching the OKC vs LAL replay from last night. On a night when Lebron becomes the NBA's all time leading scorer, these idiots couldn't even pull together a win. If there was ever a reason to come out and get a win, it was last night.
All these guys were doing was throwing it to Lebron so he could score. What a bunch of losers.

I've got more faith in Gallo playing big minutes in the playoffs than I do Rwill!

Grant Williams - Starting Wednesday: Williams will move into the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the 76ers, Sean Grande of NBC Sports Boston reports.
Impact: Williams should get all the run he can handle in this one with both Robert Williams (ankle) and Al Horford (knee) watching from the sidelines, so he could be a quality streamer or low-budget target in daily fantasy leagues. Through 18 starts this season, Williams has produced averages of 10.2 points, 5.2 rebounds, 1.7 triples, 1.7 assists and just 1.3 turnovers per contest.

Blake Griffin - Starting Wednesday: Griffin will join the first unit for Wednesday's game against the 76ers, Sean Grande of NBC Sports Boston reports.
Impact: Griffin will make his 10th start of the season Wednesday, joining Grant Williams in the frontcourt with both Al Horford (knee) and Robert Williams (ankle) sidelined for the contest. In his nine previous stints with the first five, Griffin averaged 8.0 points and 5.4 rebounds across 20.8 minutes.

Embiid was questionable yesterday but today he's playing ...
Joel Embiid - Available Wednesday: Embiid (foot) will play in Wednesday's game against the Celtics, Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Impact: Embiid has been dealing with lingering soreness in his left foot but has managed to play through the issue and will do so again Wednesday. Across his last five games, Embiid has averaged 33.8 points, 12.8 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.2 blocks in 34.0 minutes.

It's time we get a new big in here. Mr. Glass is too undependable. Shame... because Rob has become a very good player. Just can't stay available...

Getting some Embiid teardrops while 3 of our starters out with injuries would make this game worth watching.
Let's go C's!

Wow, BOTH Al and Rob are out! We have to make a move to get a reliable big.
This makes no sense. Both are way too injury-prone.
We have to get someone who can play.

Q1:
Celtics lineup change (Blake Griffin, Jaylen Brown, Derrick White, Jayson Tatum, Grant Williams)
76ers lineup change (De'Anthony Melton, Tobias Harris, Joel Embiid, P.J. Tucker, James Harden)
