Early tip-off tonight against the Denver Nuggets and their "Heart of Gold" Nikola Jokic. Both teams are 8-3 with 4 game win streaks on the line. Jokic is a 2-time reigning MVP averaging 21.2 pts/gm and shooting 59.6%.
There will be no "mile high" club advantage in Boston ... this ain't Denver and the only John you'll find here is in the latrine!
He's long gone, sad to say but Boston has it's own "Little Gold Nugget" vying to end Jokic's reign as MVP. And if he's not in the zone, his counterpart Jaylen has had no problem filling his kicks.
Watching this offense score points is starting to get addictive. It's fun, maybe too much fun which could have detrimental effect in the long run:
Sooner or later the defense will have to rise to the top and be consistent if we are to make any noise in June. Banking on Rob's return to see a defensive presence become our "M.O." again is fraught with risk. Tonight's game will be a good test of our addiction to speed and points over size and rim protection. May the best team win!

This is one I'm blocked from regionally. I won't be able to watch it anyway. Tonight I'm going to see a band called "black jacked symphony" and saturday I'm going to see Judas Priest, though I'm sad neither guitarist still with the band.

Wow ... must say I enjoyed that ... thnx for getting me to look it up!
California mastered the electric guitar as a child and when he was just 15, he was invited to play in Jimi Hendrix’s Jimmy James & the Blue Flames. It was Hendrix who began calling him Randy “California” to distinguish him from the band’s Randy Palmer who then became known as Randy Texas. It is believed that California would have become a member of the Jimi Hendrix Experience. Since he was just 15 at the time, his parents would not allow him to go with the Blue Flames to Europe where Hendrix ultimately formed the Experience. California soon helped form Spirit who released their first album, Spirit, when he was still just 17. That album included the song, “Taurus,” a song that includes a California guitar part that many have accused Jimmy Page for lifting when he wrote Led Zeppelin’s “Stairway to Heaven.” By the early ’70s, California parted ways with Spirit and released his first solo album, but then reformed a new version of the group with original member, Ed Cassidy in 1974. They continued on until California’s tragic death. On January 2, 1997, Randy California drowned while rescuing his son from a powerful rip tide while swimming in the ocean off Hawaii. His son survived, but California was killed at the age of 46.
The lawsuit was filed on behalf of Randy "California" Wolfe but ended up losing the suit. Here's a recap:

I didn't see Lee or West on the video ... wtf? Oh, and what isn't noted in the Spirit vs Zeppelin recap is that Spirit opened for the Zeppelin so Page plucked the riff from them.
The video re the lawsuit dismisses the fact that Spirit opened for Zeppelin but I disagree. If the suit deserved to lose it's only because the riff was so short of a piece in comparison to the entire melody.
PS: Agreed on the music videos ... one leads to another and another over & over. I usually get hung up wasting a day or two myself before shaking the addiction.

A bit obscure for most (though he played with Neil Young, and he is in Springsteen's band) , but Nils Lofgren playing his anti-war song...
Check out these harmonics...As they say, this is my neighbor's favorite song, whether he likes it or not...He is my favorite musican (other than Jerry Garcia and Bob Dylan, of course)

So far as Lee and West goes, yeah, evidently not on that song but at the event back in 1989... In regard to 'Taurus,' I have read that Randy did not want to hear about it...but after his death, his brother brought the lawsuit...pretty sure myself that Page plagiarized, though I always hear songs on the radio thinking it is one thing and then it is another sounding similar...they should have thrown Randy some coin while he was still alive... Also Jimmy James and the Blue Flames played in Framingham back in the day, on Rt. 9, some big white buiding with pillars in front, weddings and stuff were done there...so I have been told, too young to know myself... Game time!...go Celtics!...
