Hayward's numbers are skewed by injuries. I guess both are but Hayward really was bad for 24mo

11 year sample should bury those injured months over the lifetime average ... no?

11 year sample should bury those injured months over the lifetime average ... no? Even 2 out of 11 can skew pretty badly if they're really outliers.

I always use the past two years when comparing players along with the per 36 myself. I think it gives you a more accurate portrayal of the current player (not the past), including injury issues that are recent. for instance stathead.com/tiny/Vaualstathead.com/tiny/6Jn3Fstathead.com/tiny/6i3Fdsorry, I can't figure out how to show the charts here...HELP!

So when I compare each for the past two season on a per 36min basis, it looks like
1) Hayward and Brogdon played 93 and 92 games in that time frame. Hayward is the better over all and outside shooter, while Brogdon has an edge with FT's and volume of shots. Brogdon is a much better playmaker. Hayward gets a slight edge on defensive rating. With Haywards salary this year at $30.M and Brogdon at $22.6M. Brogdon is the better overall value and choice to me.
2) Gallo and Morris. Gallo played a few more games over the past two years. Morris has been the better over all and outside shooter, with both about the same volume. Gallo is an elite FT shooter. Gallo is a better rebounder Gallo seems to be a slightly better playmaker, as Morris high a higher TO ratio. Morris is a better defender, though Gallo is not that far behind and neither one rates out below 110 (which I feel makes for a good DR). While Morris makes $16.3M this season, Gallo only cost $6.4M. Which makes Gallo a much better value and over all choice here.
3) Rozier and White. Rozier is an iron man who misses little time, while White has been average the past two years. Rozier is a much better shooter and outside shooter as well, with a higher volume than White. White hold out a better a FT %. White is a better playmaker than Rozier and also hold an edge in defensive rating as well.. though the numbers are closer than I would expect there. Rozier is in a new deal making $21.5M this season while White earns $16.9M. This one is probably the closest one to gauge for me, but I still lean to White dues his lower salary.
anyhow that would be my breakdown for each of those comparisons, based on only the past two years.

I think for me, I had assumed Gordon was the better player when healthy, but perhaps he is not. I also thought Rozier the better option to WHite, but again, perhaps not I like Gallo if he can continue his current level of play. slow guys as they age get really slow

Both he and Brogdon did to have a medic close by at all times now. I was surprised how well Gallo stood up compared to Morris myself. But the Morris is older now also and seems ot be breaking down in the past couple years a bit. It was a great idea you had here and certainly was fun to pass the time for a bit during the NBA's down time.
