Is Dumbo Drummond going to talk up his brilliant performance last night 2 points, minus 13, fouled out...and the crowd got totally in his head.
"We've played in front of rude people before," said Klay Thompson. "Dropping f-bombs with children in the crowd. Real classy. Good job, Boston."
"On the crowd's response to Draymond? Classy. Very classy," said Kerr. Listen to Kerr & Thompson "
Have they ever been to any NBA game? There's more F Bombs from players than at a Hells Angels convention? Just shut up he sucked, and they got in his little pin head.

So tonight Scott Foster heads up the Ref Crew ... Oh boy! We get HCA and the NBA assigns a ref that won't let us retaliate. Expect to see a tight game called when it comes to bullying. The C's have probably geared up to play aggressive in your face on a night that that won't be tolerated by Scott Foster.
I hope Udoka feels it out in Q1 to see how much Foster will allow Green to get away with before releasing the wolves ... make that wolf!
at this writing, Rob is questionable but as always, expect that to change come game time:
Going back to the officiating, I think they started calling tight to send a message. We started out well. When it looked to get out of hand the refs swallowed their whistles for a while as they hacked. 4th quarter they went back to even calling. Maybe even makeup at a point. So no intent to "fix", just make it interesting.

I thought that the minutes disbursement from coach was great. 25 mins for Rwill, 30 mins for Horford, 23.5 for white....Really good job by the coach. Not only the "how many" but also the "when", putting in Rob early to set a tone. Not just that example, either. Deploying Rob at strategic times and getting most impact out of his 25 mins.
Loved the efficiency , 48% from the floor. Jaylen was a huge contributor in this regard. RWill too, putting himself in position to receive the lobs. Those are very high %, so help overall efficiency.
Loved how we got back on Green by ignoring Green and getting physical w Curry. After thinking about it, I would say that Green's best asset is his ability to split your focus. If you are worried/thinking about Green at all, you are diverting your attention/focus away from Curry, Klay.... Green wants to get physical with us, get physical w Curry. They'll cry about it , sure, but maybe shouldnt have opened that can of worms in the first place.
Love how Klay had the game that all the talking heads saw coming. He'll have a "Klay game". There it was, wasnt enough.
Loved that we "played in traffic" less. We've hurt ourselves, especially game 6 in Boston vs Heat, playing in traffic. Trying to dribble around 3 defenders, and if miraculously you dont turn the ball over, all you get out of it is an off-balance shot. And thats if you dont turn the ball over. Thats hero ball at its worst, and Im glad we didnt do as much of it.
Another great team win. Im giving Jaylen the MVP again for efficiency and defense.

Cole, if the officiating goes back the other way for game 4 and loosens up. And they start letting Draymond get away w grey area stuff - I would submit that the appropriate counter is to take it out on Steph. If refs are letting Draymond play overly physical against Brown - 2 things. One Brown needs to pass the ball and move without it. In actuality its a mismatch in our favor as Draymond cant keep up w Brown when Brown doesnt have the ball and should be able to shake his defender and get open from 3. The wrong way to do it would be for Brown to let Draymond get in his head, receive a pass and almost challenge Draymond by going right at him. Brown can easily go over Draymond, but he needs momentum to do it and if Draymond is not letting him get that momentum 1) thats how Draymond needs to play that. Tight , tight , tight, as Brown really isnt a side to side player (more north - south). But Brown could take advantage of the matchup by staying and running around the perimeter (without the basketball) where Draymond wont be able to stick with him. Moving without the basketball is so key. If I was a coach , players standing and watching would be my peave (or at least one of them).
And then we get physical on Curry.

Don't bitch about the media alot but ESPN has Tatum on the front page. BS
Brown no matter how well he plays will never get the credit the ''entitled'' one does..
We won because we attacted the rim instead of settling for long threes.. Got to the ft line 9 more times than GS.

Drew I've been saying follow the cleveland model of screening steph over and over. Last night we posted him. When he went off we reacted by putting white on him (our best defender on him). However that period they hid Curry on white defensively where Marcus had been posting him. Curry did better when he could rest defending white.

Anyone notice the absents of Looney? GS gave up size/rebounding to go small/quicker and our bigs took advantage.
He only played 17 mins with 6pts and 7rbds while on the floor and only had 3 PFs so he wasn't in foul trouble ... when Dre fouled out Kerr replaced him with Iggy and left Looney on the bench ... strategy or an injury?
Anyone got any insight on this?

Tomorrow will be the most important game in these Celtics' careers. No other game that they have played, to this point, has been as important.
I still think we can play so much better. GSW knows they MUST win.
No time for relaxing. We must bring the same energy tomorrow, if not more, than we opened up last night with.
WE HAVE TO WIN.....

Indeed ... and with the advantage of HC and younger bodies that recuperate quicker we have a huge edge on the old guys in GS uni's particularly with Curry tweaking his ankle or knee (unless he's baiting us) last night.
Friday night is the dagger to win the series and we s/b playing like there's no tomorrow!

Warriors bullied by bigger Celtics in Game 3 lossNBA Finals: Warriors C Kevon Looney only played 17 minutes as Celtics outrebound Golden State 47-31 (Nhat V. Meyer/Bay Area News Group)
By Madeline Kenney | mkenney@bayareanewsgroup.com | Bay Area News Group
BOSTON – Draymond Green didn’t hold back in his assessment of how he played in Game 3 of the NBA Finals.
“Like s—,” he said following the Warriors’ 116-100 loss to the Celtics. “I was soft. That’s what was most disappointing to me, for us.”
Green set the tone for his teammates in Golden State’s Game 2 win at Chase Center out of the gates with his aggressive play. But he didn’t bring the same energy and desperation Wednesday night in Boston as the crowd hurled a chorus of boos and profanity-laced chants at him.
The result was an underwhelming showing for the undersized Warriors, who were bullied by the assertive Celtics — especially in the interior — for the majority of the night.
Golden State has dominated the boards for most of the playoffs, but Boston outrebounded the Warriors 47-31 in Game 3. That includes 15 offensive rebounds for the Celtics, who had snatched only 13 offensive boards through the first two games.
Boston made the most of its additional possessions as it outscored the Warriors 22-11 on second-chance opportunities.
“The offensive rebounds were just a killer,” coach Steve Kerr said. “That was really the difference in the game. We made several stops, especially in the second half where we had a chance to cut into the lead or make a little push, and they got offensive boards. Those were tough.”
Klay Thompson was unsure what led to the rebounding discrepancy, though he pointed to the Warriors’ weak boxing-out efforts as a possible culprit.
“They did have way too many second-chance points. It’s hard to beat a team when that happens,” Thompson said. “I give ourselves credit, though, for fighting back and taking the lead. It just sucks when you let one slip away like that.”
But the rebounding wasn’t Golden State’s only concern in Game 3. The Warriors were dominated inside as the Celtics’ stifling defense constantly hounded them at the rim. Robert Williams III had four of the team’s seven blocks and the Celtics outscored Golden State 52-26 in the paint.
Kevon Looney is the Warriors’ lone traditional and healthy center as the team’s 2021 top pick James Wiseman – who, by the way, was trending on Twitter after the loss – was shut down for the season following setbacks in his slow rehab process from a knee injury. But despite the Warriors’ struggles, Looney played only 17 minutes, grabbing seven rebounds and scoring six points.
The Warriors brass has reiterated numerous times that they don’t regret opting against adding another big man before the trade deadline. Without Wiseman, the Warriors still managed to overcome back-to-back league MVP Nikola Jokic and power through to the NBA Finals.
But the Warriors’ lack of size might have finally caught up to them against the hard-nosed Celtics.
