From the house that Bob Cousy built - HardwoodHoudini.com comes these ideas: Note that HH has not yet reported on the statue in Worcester commemorating Cousy's accomplishments and pride the city has for it's long time resident. I'll get something up soon.
Boston Celtics’ Gordon Hayward TPE options ($11.05MM)
Larry Nance Jr., Tomas Satoransky, Juan Hernangomez
Nance is by far the most intriguing of the three candidates listed. He had a fairly successful season last year in Cleveland, and since the team is rebuilding, they could be willing to deal him for young assets.
He averaged 9.3 PPG, 6.7 RPG, and 3.1 APG last year. Nance shot 47.1% from the field and 36.0% from the 3-point line.
Satoransky would certainly help shore up the Celtics’ point guard depth. Not only that but at 6’7” he provides some much-needed height at the guard position.
He averaged 7.7 PPG and 4.7 APG last season while also shooting 51.4% from the field and 35.6% from deep. His size and playmaking would fit in perfectly off the C’s bench.
Lastly, Hernangomez would be the riskiest of these options. He struggled shooting the ball last season (32.7% from deep) but shoots the three at 35.1% for his career.
He averaged 7.2 PPG last season and plays solid defense at the 4. Hernangomez would be a solid stretch four option next to both Tatum and Brown.

Boston Celtics’ Daniel Theis & Enes Kanter TPE options ($5.0MM & $4.76MM)
Josh Okogie, Edmond Sumner, Chandler Hutchison
Okogie is definitely a bit of a project considering his major struggles shooting the ball. He is a career 27.3% three-point shooter but has proved to be an elite defender for the Timberwolves.
At only 22 years old Okogie has plenty of room to grow. It would give the C’s another perimeter defender to throw at opposing benches.
Sumner proved his worth last season, shooting 39.8% from deep. Despite only playing 16.2 MPG, he still managed to average 7.5 PPG.
If the goal of the offseason is to add shooters around Boston’s core players, Sumner would be a top option. He is only 25 years old and, even though he is already a solid shooter, has plenty of room to grow in that regard.
As for Hutchison, he will most likely end up back in Washington next year. However, if the Wizards would rather build up their draft capital, he would also fit in well off of the Celtics’ bench.
He averaged 5.2 PPG on roughly 40-37-83 shooting splits in his 18 games with the Wizards last year. His hustle defense and ever-improving shooting would help the C’s immediately.

Boston Celtics’ Jeff Teague TPE options ($1.6MM)
DeMarre Carroll, Patrick Patterson, Sam Merrill
Carroll is a veteran who doesn’t really have much left in the tank. His shooting numbers have dipped in recent years and he would most likely take on more of a leadership role at the end of the bench.
However, he is a career 35.8% three-point shooter and could revive those numbers in a limited role. He is certainly a low-risk, high-reward candidate.
Patrick Patterson falls under the same scope as Carroll, but seemingly has more to offer in terms of shooting. He is 32 years old and would be a solid stretch four option for the C’s.
He shot 35.7% from deep last season in his limited role with the Clippers. Although he wouldn’t get much playing time in the playoffs, he could certainly help win some regular-season games.
Trading for Merrill would be going in a completely different direction than the previous two options. At 25 years old he is coming off a rookie season where he received little playing time.
However, in the 30 games and 7.8 MPG he did play, he shot lights out. Merrill shot 44.7% from deep on 1.7 attempts per game (21-47 total).

Nobody seems to know about the Kemba TPE ($6.9MM) ... it's on Spotrac.com Plus it's good for a year, while most of the others run out before the season starts.

Non-Taxpayer Mid-Level Exception $9,536,000 ($9,536,000) Bi-Annual Exception $3,732,000 ($3,732,000) Trade Exception $2,505,793 ($343,873) Vincent Poirier trade with OKC (Moritz Wagner, $2,161,920 ) 11/19/2021
Trade Exception $4,767,000 ($4,767,000) Enes Kanter trade with POR 11/20/2021
Trade Exception $28,500,000 ($11,050,000) Gordon Hayward trade with CHA, (Evan Fournier, $17,450,000) 11/29/2021
Trade Exception $1,620,564 ($1,620,564) Jeff Teague trade with ORL 03/25/2022
Trade Exception $5,000,000 ($5,000,000) Daniel Theis trade with CHI 03/25/2022
Trade Exception $6,879,100 ($6,879,100) Kemba Walker trade with OKC 06/18/2022
we need to remember that TPE's typicaly only have value when attached to other assets.
For instance there would be no reason for Cleveland to trade Nance Jr. to us for only the TPE, we'd need to attached draft capital or another asset back.
OR Stevens can always try to play the third or fourth team in a deal move and use one of the TPE's to facilitate a trade for another team over the cap.
I think one of Ainge's biggest mistakes (along with the Fournier/ Theis moves) last year was not getting in the Harden deal to Bkn last year. Cleveland got both J. Allen and T. Prince for Basically D. Exum amd a frist round pick so that Bkn has the space to take on Harden's salary.
Imagine our roster now if we had both here (Allen a RFA), using the Hayward TPE and the #16 pick this year.
oh well....I sure an glad Danny boy is gone.

The TPE comes in most handily when another team is in need of cap room to sign a FA and they don't want salary back. In which case they might take a minimum contract player of a 2nd rd pick. Other than that, they can be used for waiver/buyout candidates.

RUMORS: Kemba’s replacement on Celtics could be talented Bulls guard by Paolo Mariano
The Kemba Walker Experiment didn’t exactly work for the Boston Celtics. Now, the team has a gaping void at the point guard with the exit of Walker.
Many names have been floated around to replace Walker, including top-tier guys Damian Lillard and Ben Simmons. But according to an observer, the Celtics, with new coach Ime Udoka, could find what they’re looking for in the Windy City in Chicago Bulls playmaker Tomas Satoransky.
The Bulls have a logjam in the backcourt with Satoransky, Zach LaVine, Coby White, Ryan Arcidiacono, Denzel Valentine, and Garrett Temple. According to Chris Forsberg of NBC Sports Boston, moving Satoransky out in a deal with the Celtics sounds logical and a win-win for both teams.
The 29-year-old Satoransky is an underrated guard with length, size, and vision. He could be the perfect backcourt mate for Jaylen Brown and Evan Fournier. Most of all, he doesn’t need too many shots to be productive. He can leave all the scoring to Brown, Jayson Tatum, and Evan Fournier, something that Walker struggled with a bit.
While Satoransky isn’t exactly an All-Star caliber player, there’s a hunch he’ll be a good fit for the Celtics.
