My view of Mia and C's are : C's get too much blame and Mia doesnt get enough credit. Sure, our offense sputtered at times. But Dragic played the series of his life. Butler was clutch. Bam went off. Herro had that one dominant game. They came together and played above their talent level. But that is supposed to happen in the playoffs. You can't fold, you have to come to play. The 2016 series between the Warriors and OKC was something to see. OKC raised their game to a different level and had the Warriors on the ropes. Until Klay Thompson decided that it will not be so.
We can give credit to Miami but I assign more blame to Boston being soft.
Gee, thanks for bringing that up. I thought for sure we had won that series

Oh I know, just wondering why everything seems to go back to Hayward Mostly, thats Fierce. KY seems to be drinking his kool-aid a bit though. But I think KY more falls into the "misconception of who HB is"; whereas, Fierce is more "lack of a good frontcourt did us in, and if that was improved - the team would be so improved, that we'd still be better even if you subtract Hayward" My position is that every C in the league is the same, and playing musical chairs w em wont win/lose you many games. We'll go as far as Tatum and Brown carry us. But a reliable third scoring option would be huge. And I really dont care what position that third scoring option plays. Id be fine if it was GH. I think you need to keep up more, before you try and explain what other posters think! The only time I've ever mentioned HB is today! I'd much rather have Aaron Gordon! What I would do is trade Smart for Barnes, not that the Kings would, but i can always hope!

Also breaking, the sun will come up tomorrow (yes the earth is round.) I predicted it. Does that make me a prophet? Also, a friend shall lose another friends hammer

Wow!
Harrison Barnes consumed 3 pages of this thread?
Here's my take.
GH is more SF/SG.
Harrison Barnes is more SF/PF.
There's no way Gordon Hayward can defend PFs.
HB can defend PFs.
He has proven that since his Warrior days.
If some of you guys don't like HB then Thad Young or Aaron Gordon.
hedley was the one who first floated the idea of trading for HB.
Thad Young is prakash's idea.
Aaron Gordon is the favorite of the majority.
So why is it an upgrade losing Hayward?
1. When Hayward opted out, it opened the door for Tristan. There was no way the Celts would be able to sign TT if Hayward didn't opt out.
2. The Celts got the biggest TPE in league history for Hayward.
So the end result would be TT and a player from the TPE for Hayward.
For example, if it's TT and Thad Young for Hayward, that would be an upgrade to me.
Celts need a better C than Theis and a better PF than GWill and Semi.
Although Hayward is the better player, the Celts already have Tatum and Brown, that makes Hayward redundant.
Like I keep saying, GH is a luxury item.
Trade the luxury item for what the team needs and that will be an upgrade.

It's true that the Celts will only go as far as where Tatum and Brown take them.
But if the team is not fundamentally sound, no matter how good Tatum and Brown are, the Celts will stall.
Tatum and Brown need TT to defend opposing Centers, get rebounds, and provide some inside scoring.
A guy like Thad Young or HB or Aaron Gordon is needed when opposing teams double Tatum and Brown and they have to pass the ball.
Tatum or Brown passing to an open Thad Young or HB or Aaron Gordon is better than passing to an open Semi or GWill.

Sixers losing to Heat team without Dragic and Bam.
Rookie Precious Achiuwa back to back scores inside the paint.
Embiid must be thinking Achiu what???

There's really a chance HB is available because he's overpaid. Lottery teams don't like to waste money. So it makes sense if the Kings will want to get rid of HB's big contract.

Imagine where we'd be if McHale wanted to be "the man", as opposed to an integral part of THREE titles!! I remember one time some reporter asked McHale about playing second fiddle to Larry Bird, and McHales response was “you can play second fiddle to Larry Bird and still play a pretty mean fiddle!”

I guess you could call it the black hole era
