Of course a player being compared to PJ Tucker would say something like that. Boston is the only team that took a chance on Williams in the 1st round. If Boston is really the best franchise, why didn't KD sign with Boston in 2016? And why is Anthony Davis totally not interested in giving Boston a chance? We haven't even started losing in 2019-20 season and you are already getting pissed? I'm not pissed. I've always watched the Celts win or lose. I'm only debunking what Grant Williams said. It's really not true the Celts is the best franchise when it comes to attracting FAs.

We can't hold Kyrie blameless. He was a big contributor to the chemistry issues. Too bad the Celts could not check things in time and it blew up. I know Kyrie's part of the problem. But fans forcing Kyrie out of Boston has ramifications. Not only did Kyrie leave, but Horford left as well. In the end Celts get nothing from the trade with Cavs. It may but I don't care.
I was a big supporter until the Bucks series and the comments that surrounded the games.
Kyrie may be well liked around the league but the players that have played with him tell a different story.
As for Al, I will be pissed if he signs a 3/70 deal somewhere. If he signs a 4/100 deal, I will wish him the best and remember his great time with the Celts.
Danny made a play. Shit happened: Gordon Hayward broke his ankle. In hindsight, that ended that phase. Now the Celts are on to the 2nd phase.

That guard from Yale is still available and we have some time yet to trade for an undiscovered talent in the last ten picks.

14. Boston Celtics (from Sacramento via Philadelphia): SG Romeo Langford, Indiana
It's a bit of a surprise, but I think it's an OK pick. He's a good player, and there were only a couple guys I had above him left. His freshman season at Indiana was disappointing, but he was hurt. This is a long-term play. He won't be very impactful in Year 1, especially with all the perimeter talent the Celtics have. Grade: C

We took Waters ... another guard ... Boy, Danny can't find enough guards except the ones I like!
Tremont Waters Point Guard LSU, sophomore
PTS 15.3 18.8 per 40 REB 2.8 3.4 per 40 AST 5.8 7.2 per 40 EFG% 50.0 400 FGA STL 2.9 3.6 per 40 BLK 0.1 0.1 per 40 3PT% 32.7 171 3PA FT% 81.3 128 FTA
Age21.4 Height/Weight5'10.75''/172 Wingspan6'2.25'' Standing Reach7'9.5''
Tiny, sweet-shooting point guard with an instinctive feel for how to manage tempo.
Shades Of: Tyler Ulis, Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf
PLUSES
Controls the game: He skillfully navigates pick-and-rolls and uses his slick handle and sleight of hand to generate passing lanes to find open shooters. Accurate passer off the dribble who makes good decisions. Threat to pull up from deep range to hit 3s off the dribble. He’s a constant threat to pull up. Great spot-up shooter who was rarely used off screens but displays the skills that suggest he can develop shooting prowess off movement. Plays hard on defense; he slithers through screens, stays in his stance, and focuses off the ball.
MINUSES
Undersized guards rarely thrive in the NBA: He’ll get picked on defensively, like any small player does. While competitive, he won’t be able to reliably switch screens. Below-the-rim finisher who will need to master his raw floater to be a scoring threat in the paint.
Lecque is still available ... may go undrafted.

When Celts had stars like Kyrie and Horford, some Celts fans were unhappy. Now that Kyrie is gone, more Celts fans are unhappy. This is what Boston gets for being ungrateful for having star players. The Lakers never traded Kobe Bryant after the rape incident in 2003. I get that Kyrie is not the most likable person in the world. But Kyrie is a great basketball. Teams are lining up to offer Kyrie the max. But some Boston fans want Kyrie out. This is the result. The Celts will now be a team closer to the lottery than the NBA Finals. Don't blame Celtic fans for Kyrie's leaving.
Blame Kyrie. It was his doing.
Kyrie was a cancerous growth on this team... something you don't seem to want to recognize.
It wasn't that he was unlikable. He was immature, selfish, divisive and destructive... a prima donna.
Why should Celtic fans be grateful for his arrogance and lack of constructive leadership on and off the floor?
They rightly want him gone... and you should too.
You on the other hand.... you were dead wrong about Kyrie's value to this team and now you are PO'd because he is headed out of town, making you look like the fool that you became kissing his azz non-stop and touting his "superstar" play.
If some other team wants to be foolish enough to pay him the big bucks to destroy their franchise too, it serves them right.
What Kyrie did in Cleveland and Beantown should put other teams on notice that KI has a serious downside that should make them very cautious to sign him to a big contract, a contract that they will likely regret not too far down the road.
AH is a completely different story.
He is a good citizen and will be missed in Boston. His leaving likely had little to do with KI's situation.
He wanted too much $$$ and DA was wise to balk at Al's contract demands.

Was it fierce that called up and said that about ungrateful fans? They said it sounded like Kyrie himself.
Ungrateful for last season? Count me in.

LOL! Danny will be Danny. I think that he is making amends for trading IT. It will improve his standing with players in the league.
Anyhow, these picks are very irrelevant. Now that the draft game is over, the free agency game starts. I get this feeling that Rozier is gone.
