Smart 2 for 10 Morris 1for 5 while Brown sits!! Stevens should have never taken Brown out! And why can't Horford catch the damn ball!

I tell ya. Didnt watch the game but read the thread, saw the boxscore. Yawnnnn same old. Inconsistent. Inconsistent self proclaimed leader. Hero ball wont cut it. Anyways. Hope we learn from this one but doubt it. Shit is getting old.

I have hated the Lakers all my life without LeBron and now even more with him there. He had his way with us in Miami, Cleveland and now they have won 2 games( I forgot first by 2 pts I think). I admit there was luck involved when LeBron threw the ball on the floor I think and McGee caught it and back to LeBron for a 3. LeBron got 3-4 critical 3s in a row in last 7-8 minutes. And our alumnus Rondo getting the Dagger winner…unbelievable. Lakers may not even make the playoffs but we struggle against them and LeBron had a very good game !

Embarrassing game. This team is going nowhere. Its time to look forward to better times maybe next year. This is such an easy team to hate.

After watching the highlights a few minutes ago, I must say that I feel happy that we lost this one.
You get ahead by 18 in front of your home crowd (59-41), and lose to that Lakers team? With a buzzer beater?
Things cannot go worse than that. Playing down to opposition will never get you a championship in this league. Guys gotta learn that.
I believe we can safely assume that stealing 2nd seed from Raptors, though still possible, seems improbable. This would mean that in order to win a championship, we will have to beat all Raps, Bucks and Warriors without homecourt in either one of the series. That would be quite a story, but does it really look probable to you?

Kyrie was forcing a lot of shots and unsuccessfully so. But, unfortunately, that is what Kyrie believes he has to do. We have no other cold-blooded clutch players like him. I don't blame Kyrie because when he breaks down a defense and gets guys open looks in crunch time, they clang the shots. Kyrie breaks down the defense and gives Rozier a clean look from the mid range - CLANG. Same for Tatum - CLANG. Twice for Smart - CLANG, CLANG. Then you add the fact that Horford did not even make a FG in the 4th quarter (nor did Hayward).
Kyrie just doesn't trust these guys in crunch time. He doesn't trust Horford or Hayward. When this team needs a big shot, the only consistent option is Kyrie. And when he's having an off night, we get a game like last night.
The good thing is that Kyrie has very few games like last night. He's trpically the one delivering the dagger with a HUGE shot deep in crunch time. We have no other player with the blood like his and this is what we get.

The players stats on those games indicate that he should trust them. There is a disconnect between KI and the team and although is happening less than before, it still happens. Who cares if they clang the shots, of course they will if you dont trust them. That would be like me delivering a job at the deadline with the boss not trusting me. Will I fail, most likely so. Trust is key.

We have tons of scorers and tons of good players. Wasnt JB hot last night? Wasnt Rozier hot last night. Keep feeding them. Trust them.

No rant today i've said enough.
Too bad the guys who played well Brown Theis Rozier only got 20 minutes or so.
Who's fault? No clue by you guys. The bench ?The Bench? No. Slow slow slow to see the real problem.
One thing for sure. LA is a much better team with Rondo at the point instead of Ball.
Ball won't be there next year and i hope Smart now realizes. He really can't shoot when he is guarded,

Kyrie was ice cold to start the game, but he was having a great fourth quarter. The box score doesnt make it appear so, but dont overlook 10-10 at the line. Also, it wasnt about not hitting clutch shots at the end. Kyrie got a dope basket with 18 seconds left that gave us the lead. Like so many times, it looked again like he won the game for us. But defense let us down at the end. This loss is completely on Stevens for having Hayward out there at the end of the game. Jaylen Brown contests that shot.

We played uncharacteristically bad defense all night. How many times was Kuzma open from 3?

Have we not figured out by now that Hayward should be getting 12-15 mins / night and should certainly not be out there at end of games. As Golden State said, he is a liability on both ends of the court. I dont care what we pay him. He should sit. Id rather have Daniel Theis out there.

7 WINS 5 LOSES THE NEXT 12 GAMES AT BEST. I see a 6 and 6
Not to worry Stevens is on his way out. Can't win the close ones even against the so so teams.
He'll join the long list of collage coaches who have failed.

You dont think that might be a tad dramatic considering we won 10 of 11 before going into last nights game that we lost on a fluke buzzer beater?

Irving lovers.
Irving excited by LeBron's All-Star selections. His quote of the day.
Too bad he isn't excited by his real teammates.

The defense wasn't just bad for the last 18 seconds. When a bad team like the Lakers can score 129 points against you its a good bet that the defense was bad-through lack of effort-ALL GAME. Why didn't anyone have a hand in Rondo's face for the last shot? No one contested it at all. Everyone just stood around watching, just like they did all game. These guys have the talent to have won a lot more games than they have won, but the effort is not there every game. As I said, its an easy team to hate.

I have been saying that Hayward's act is getting old for a long time now. I really don't care about his injury any more-that was over a year ago. Its time for him to sit. He had his chance to produce and he didn't do it. Give someone else a chance.
