I can't see their trade value getting any higher especially Thomas . Brown will take Crowders minutes and Thomas will return to his whinning days when he goes to the bench where he belongs.

One of the worse proposals I've seen here. I would not trade Thomas alone to PHI for either one of Okafor or Noel; let alone adding Crowder to the mix.

I wouldn't do that deal either. There's a reason why he didn't deal the #3 pick to begin with. I'm thinking things will get done after free agency starts.

No on that deal. At least it's a thought, though. I would never tell another Celtics fan that their idea is "terrible", so I'll just say we are giving up way too much in that scenario.

No one watched the playoffs last year? Thomas and Crowder got destroyed by a poor Hawks team. I suppose if your happy just making the playoffs its ok.Okafor and or Noel are starters Thomas and Crowder will soon be part of our bench. I'll take all bets on that.

I understand your dislike of Thomas. I find that he is a great scorer. Beyond that, he has very little to show. But he is a great scorer which are hard to find in the league. So, he might have some value worth exploring. But Darryl, PG's wont get you a championship. GS won with Curry being a tweener. A 2 driving the ball down the court which is all we need. Consider Irving a similar player but drives to the hoop. My dilema is also with Crowder who dissapeared in the playoffs. From there we move to Amir who seems to have busted knees. I think turner is a goner. So, there are alot of areas that we might not even be able to cover this year. So, what does Danny do? Gets a guy with potential. . Someone that might be that guy to build around and best of all, a SF. The position that can really get you far. GS wouldnt be anything without Klay. Clev, we all know. Same with okc...etc etc

I need to see the terms of the deal. IF it was Noel, Covington and 24 and 26.......then I think that is a reasonable deal. If we backed away from that deal, then Danny either wanted Saric, or didn't want the draft picks, or he just doesn't want Noel. I mean, they have all the data on the kid, maybe they just don't like him.... If PHI backed out of the deal, then that is not Danny's fault. But I need to see what happened before commenting.

It's all too late now. I think it's good that Danny knows the fans are pissed at him Further, I think Barnes is now off the table. Sign Turner, try to trade with MIL again. Let's see if I have this now: NOT counting UFA or RFA's Thomas/Rozier/Jackson Bradley/Hunter/Young Crowder/Jerebko/Brown Johnson/Mickey/Yabusele Oly/Zizic/Bentil That is 15 not counting Turner, Sully and Zeller.......not a ton of room here

(TRADE CHIPS, TRADE CHIPS!!! BWAHAHAHAHAHA!)

You wouldn't trade two guys who should be bench players on a good team, for a guy who could be an all star type player? I make that trade all day long!!

"For a guy who COULD" be an all-star" is the key phrase there. He had a decent rookie year, and got hurt. He's not worth two rotation players on a playoff team. We would be giving up way too much defense for a kid who "may" be good offensive player.

Well i expected to get beat up on this trade deal and agree it's alot for either one. I really think moving Thomas now is our best long term solution. He'll never be worth more than he is today. I can live with Crowder he can play a couple positions and would be great coming off the bench. I don't see many good bigs available in next years draft. Getting a good one on a trade is also unlikely. Okafor for all his faults could put up 20 plus every nite. Noel if he indicated he would sign a long term deal would be hard to pass on. Perhaps we could get a 2017 or 2018 ist rounder from Phila to 2018 would be the most likely doubt they give up next years .

Danny did say that a lot of the trade proposals wanted Crowder with little in return. Perhaps the Brown draft was a sign that danny knows that any meaningful trade will need to involve that sweet crowder contract. Seems like brown could slot into that same role.
I think it would need to be something good like butler to make that trade, but you can see how the brown choice would work sans Jay.

I think it's a good proposal but minus Thomas. He is the best scorer in the team, it would hurt us more than helping if they lose him for Noel or Okafor. I don't mind losing Crowder though, along with Smart/Bradley and Rozier 6'rs may find it a fair deal. They are desperate for a decent PG, Smart would have young 6'rs core to reach his ceiling.

Thomas failed to shoot well during the playoffs or even get off good passes to his teammates. Besides he gives up as much as he scores. Playing Rozier out of desperation in the playoffs speaks volumes.

I think Thomas with better talent around would score more, Apposing teams know if they target Thomas defensively we are dead in the water. I am not saying Thomas is a star in the league but I think we won't gain much including him in the trade for Noel or Okafor.

He's fine coming off the bench as a scorer. He won't make a good starting PG here or in Phila so maybe including him would matter little. I can see him being a unhappy camper coming off the bench. He expressed concern for his playing time last year and Stevens rotation. I stil think his value will never be higher and his attitude might likely change next year if Rozier or somone else eats up a lot of his minutes. I'm not crazy about Noel or Okafor but they seem to be the two best young bigs available. Maybe we can trade Sac for one of their four centers.

If he's fine coming off the bench, why do you want to trade him so badly? Look, he's not going anywhere this year, until at least the trade deadline. I am focused now on "your" guy Rozier, and hopefully he can become the starter. I do agree Thomas is best off the bench, but there is no way I want to see him traded.

He looked terrible in the playoffs and he'll never be worth more than now. When he goes to the bench which he eventually will he'll be a big whinner just like the was in Sac and Phoenix. Three reasons. Your right he'll be here next year however. Glad to see ya coming around to Rozier some we'll see if i was right about him. this year.

They all looked terrible in the playoffs..... ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Tough to be good when no one can hit shots. I don't think he'll whine, but maybe I'm wrong. I have to come around to Rozier, he's on the team. Hated the pick at the time, but now let's see what he can do - anything to make the team better.
