maybe it would be better to clear the bench now. let them make a run if they want. maybe better not to beat them by 30

After Embiid & Giannis, this is just what the young, athletic & fast C's needed ... a slow, aging and thin benched Cav's! Great Comment !

That was a "fast" 4th qtr ... 5 mins left as the benches are emptied and right away Nader loses the ball on a deflected pass.

I don’t like this crowd. We are up 28 with 5 minutes left and they are just watching the game. Not shouting, not booing the enemy. Simply just standing still. This is unacceptable. Shout it out loud and boo the calves. I just don’t get it. This is a series and nothing is over with.

What I find positive is that Rozier only scored 8. He is capable of 20-30 in future games. IMPORTANT TO WIN GAME 2. Pacers beat Cavs +30 and then lost next game.

Game 2 is the key. They will fired up. It will be fun. Win that and we really break their spirits.

I'm surprised Lebron didn't resort to more bully ball tonight. Do you think he'll have that in him next game?

I think James is tired ... he even said so in the last series ... he's been forced to carry too much of a load ... Thnx Hill, Nance, Clarkson & Hood!

I'm surprised Lebron didn't resort to more bully ball tonight. Do you think he'll have that in him next game? Lebron couldn't bully ball because the Celts kept changing defenders on him. Another stroke of genius by Brad Stevens. Celts kept switching, even Rozier ends up with Lebron sometimes. That confused Lebron and the Cavs. Celts are faster, taller, and bigger. They're the better team. Let's hope the Celts continue to execute and play the right way.

The difference from facing Toronto is the Raps refused to play small ball. Recently fired coach Casey insisted on keeping Ibaka and Jonas on the court.
Brad Stevens changed his starting lineup against the Cavs. Putting Morris in for Baynes negated the advantage of having Love as the Center. Kevin Love took advantage of Jonas by forcing Jonas to guard him at the 3-point line. With Morris as the starter, Horford becomes the Center. Cavs lost the advantage of having Love as the Center because Horford can cover him.

Semi & now Monroe power baskets in ... 108-83 Standing Ovation! You can't expect the C's to dominate like this, but make no mistake this was a shot heard around the NBA. Even as-is they are a force to consider.

Heinsohn & Gorman points:
-32 for Lebron
C's never walked the ball up forcing Cavs to run on every possession
One on one defense of Lebron was good but even better was how we collapsed on him in the paint forcing others to make shots
Lebron was angry at his teammates for not responding ... he was yelling at teammates and complaining to the refs ... he was down & out early

Celts need to contain Korver and JR Smith.
Lebron will get his points.
But no way the Cavs win this series if their 3s are not falling.
Last season it was a different story because the Cavs had Kyrie and Lebron. There's just no defense for that. This time around, it's only Lebron.
Lebron doesn't do too well when he's not surrounded with multiple star players. That's why he went to Miami to join Bosh and Wade in 2010. He came back to Cleveland in 2014 when Kyrie was emerging as one of the best PGs in the league and the Cavs were getting Kevin Love in a trade.

LeBron couldn't bully ball because the Celts decided to use their length/versatility to poke away the ball the moment he started surveying the field. They attacked his game at multiple levels. It will take a different kind of ball to get LeBron going. The Cavs will be more fired up the next game. They will be driving in and kicking out. But I will take other Cavs making decisions. Time to see what Ty Lue cooks up. Brad handily won round 1.
