you know, i think you are right although i would say to some degree is not the coaches fault. At the end of the day, the fault is on the team and the coach. We shouldn't have lost against the hawks but we did. The wizards are as inconsistent as many of the lesser teams. We should be able to beat them. Ever since we got Monroe, i thought it was going to take us over the hump and beat the wizards easily by 5-6 points. I was wrong. But i can tell you that BS has enough in monroe, horford and baynes to beat the wiz. I dont think he has not used them wisely. I dont like Brooks but honestly, i think he always outcoaches Brad Stevens. I really do. Same with Buddenholzer he always outcoaches Stevens. I don't understand. We are in second place in the Division. When Kyrie went down, we won 6 in a row. When Wall went down the Wiz went into the toilet. When we won those 6 games in a row, and 16 in a row at the beginning of the season, was that the players, and now it's the coach? Can't have it both ways. And, didn't we beat the Wiz last year? With IT as the PG? How did he get out-coached? As for the Hawks - we are 3-1 against them this year. The one loss was the last one. When we lose a close game with Gibson, Larkin and Nader on the floor, clearly he didn't care about the outcome - and we still almost won. We could have put Brown, Rozier and Tatum back in if it meant anything, and we probably would have won then.Out coached? NOPE! This deserves more discussion. Internally the C's must have discussed whether to A) use this game to rest players or B) use entire team to beat DC and block them from advancing to the 7-seed to our advantage leaving Miami as our matchup. An argument can be made that we used the starters as much as possible but were unable to keep up or surpass them and Brad opted to pull Brown/Tatum/Rozier at that point for what, tonights game vs the Nets? One would think that the C's would have made this game a focal point and prepared to beat DC otherwise the conclusion is they don't care whether they play the Heat or the Wiz as they're confident they can beat either team. That's pretty arrogant or just plain stupid given the difficulty in beating the Wiz in DC. I'll crack it up to a poor performance but if the players couldn't get up for last night's game then the playoffs won't be much different ... the outcome that is!

We have missed our 2nd best player, Hayward, and now numero uno Irving for playoffs. My mentioning now the Warriors have nothing to do with the Celtics and this forum but there is alarm among the GS fans as the team has gone 7-10 last 17 games and lost last night by 40 to Utah. Keep in ming we have had 1 Allstar, Irving, and a 1/2 one, Horford. Like Petey I am not in love with him. Should be giving us 15-20 pts per night and 10-15 rebs. The Warriors have 4 Allstars, Curry, Durant, Thompson & Green and, yes, maybe 2 of the 4 at different times have been hurt lately but there is a big fear if Curry is not healthy, they will not repeat. Personally, I think Houston is the team to beat. I would match our non-Allstar team, minus Irving & Horford, against the Warriors without any of their 4. I think Rozier, Tatum & Brown are better than any of their team without the stars. We’ll never know but even if we had Irving, I don’t know if we’d made the finals. We may not even get the Cavs to thrash us again as they have done the past 2 years in the playoffs 8-1. Hoping we, at least, get to the 2nd round that if knocked out, I will get some satisfaction if Cleveland does too same as I do if Sox lose and Yankees lose too. Got to need Rozier, Tatum, Brown to ave 15-20 pts and get 10-15 each from Horford, Morris & Monroe. And hope Smart if back for 2nd round if we play Cleveland to even foul out but to stop LeBron as much as possible. Being maligned a bit by some, I am in the camp of the coach has done a good job with what he has had !!! GO SOX & BRUINS TOO !!! . It seems that Curry even when they have 2 of the 3 remaining All Stars is more valuable to GS than Irving is to us based on their 7-10 record past 3 weeks.

I don't think they cared who they play. I think they know they didn't have any control over it. I don't think they preferred one team to the other. AND, it's MIL anyway
