Tgis game was ours. Honestly i am beyond pissed at Horford. So much effort by all the guys. On board with that...have long supported Al and his steady professional approach, but he is sukking lately...don't think he has the fire we need...grateful he came here and gave us legitimacy, but he is not measuring up any more...

Smart seen asking the ref why no foul called on the push out of bounds from Chris Paul ... didn't matter Marcus cuz if before the shot it would have been 2 and we needed 3.

We are tough! Whether we are 1st or 2nd we need Toronto to play the Cavs as we are 1-8 against them last 2 years.

I dont see the fire in him. Its almost like he is just complacent with his minimal effort. I do wish he one day gets it and shows more grit.

We played and have been playing really good since the all AS break. Good to see. I think a few guys could benefit from rest going to the post season. Positioning at this time and for this team does not matter.

Our starting 5 scored 49 points. Pretty pathetic but impressive and encouraging our reserves scored 71 points. Could Horford go to the bench and be their 6th man?

All 5 were pretty lame on offense other than Kyrie but he wasn't very efficient. Problem with Al, we use him too much as a facilitator as Kyrie isn't a big assist PG though Al wasn't a big assist guy tonight either. After Kyrie & Al it seems to be Smart with the most assists, better passing (usually) ... I loved the Morris-Monroe combo for size, aggression and scoring/rebounding.

Were there any development years when Bird got here?

Darn! Up six and Kyrie's shot goes almost in but spins out. Then the turnover on the next possession. Then Kyrie's deliberate miss on free throw bounces right back in with Monroe in perfect rebounding position.
Great game, good fight, wish we had it. At least, they are back.

Were there any development years when Bird got here? Yes + no. We had a Red two coaches who had some real nba experience. Some young punk who think his Butler playbook works is the real problem.

and also, larry got here at like 23. Back in those days all the guys were older coming out. Tiny and Cornbread were established.

Kyrie Horford are established other temas lave 18 to 20 year old also. I can't follow your argument.
We looked frazzled at the end because of poor play calling was what i saw. Must admit my eyes are poor however.

Great analysis all, but until Hayward is a Celtic, and Tatum grows up and realizes how good he is instead of deferring to those less than him...we sukkk... I thought he was somewhat more aggressive and found insight in commentary from the announcers that Brad may be asking Tatum to bring the ball up the court to help him become more aggressive off the dribble. That said, has anyone noticed how good Brown's shooting has been lately? Last night (despite scoring 26pts) he held Harden to 33% shooting while scoring the ball at a 50% clip overall AND ON THREES at the other end. It may be premature, but I'll stick my next out and say that Brown will surprise most here and end up the better talent of the two ... certainly a more complete baller (successful at both ends at an all-star level).

Ok I agree 100% with that. I just see the close games against the better teams slip away just like last year. Monroe has been a plus just like we both thought. I disagree with you little as always.

Brown may be a better two way player, I agree. However, offensively, the sky is the limit for Tatum. As for the game, let's not forget, HOU has the best record in the NBA, and we have played with them both times. Last night was a more complete game, end to end. This is why we got Monroe. To score off the bench like that. We know he'll never be in the game at the end, due to his defense - although he does TRY to play D. Very happy with him so far. I actually thought Kyrie blew that game at the end with that ill-advised "miss" on the first one. We didn't need him to miss that one, then the one he should have missed, he air-balled. Wrecked an otherwise great game from him. Trust me, if we get production from our bench like that the rest of the year, we'll be fine. And we'll be able to take on, if not beat, CLE and TOR (THE most under rated team in the league, flying under the radar....they are dangerous as well). For those who don't like "jacking up threes" - HOU took 49 in that game..........and I suppose D'Antoni is a better coach now than Brad...................

Houston Rockets beat Boston Celtics 123-120 in wild finishBy: Jared Weiss The Boston Celtics nearly came back in the free throw game against the league’s top team as the Houston Rockets extended their winning streak with a 123-120 win.For an NBA Primetime game, the Houston Rockets win over the Boston Celtics had everything. A deep-range shootout, blistering transition play, loose ball reviews and a never-ending free throw game at the end. This was a crash course in exciting basketball and gamesmanship. After trading free throws and baskets for what felt like an eternity, the game ended with Marcus Smart catching a full court pass, turning and launching a rainbow three while falling into the bench. He managed to just catch front rim. Boston had a two-possession lead throughout most of the fourth quarter, but it slipped away after a costly turnover and a Kyrie layup that went in and out with three minutes left. Boston’s bench, led by Terry Rozier and Marcus Morris on the offensive end was burying threes all night. They ended up with 67 points, a season-high, but Houston’s closing lineup was a little too potent and a little more lucky. Trevor Ariza hit a three to tie things up with less than two minutes left, before his clutch steal would reshape the game. Horford tried passing the ball from his chest and gave it straight to Houston. stats.nba.com/events/?flag=1&GameID=0021700939&GameEventID=611&Season=2017-18&title=Horford%20Bad%20Pass%20Turnover%20(P3.T13)&sct=plot
[Comment: Most aggressive Al ever and a game changer]
Boston was stuck playing the free throw game and nearly managed to pull off the rare comeback. It came down to Kyrie needing to brick his second free throw for an offensive rebound with five seconds left. Everything worked until it inadvertently rattled home. A dejected Irving was asked about it after the game and grabbed his face, saying it pissed him off just to think about it. Stevens joked that’s just how good Kyrie is. [Comment: Note the positioning & boxout by Monroe vs Capela for the would be rebound] Boston somehow got another chance after going back and forth on free throws, with Smart needing to hit the miracle shot. But it came just a few inches short. Video Player: nba.cdn.turner.com/nba/big/nba/wsc/2018/03/04/league_c7740259-03a8-43a1-5bcc-7a1ea495b3b4.nba_2087049_1920x1080_5904.mp4?_=3
