www.sportingnews.com/nba/news/nba-2016-draft-marquese-chriss-celtics-kings-danuel-house/kpclm4abewqj1qeggmjxycbyvCal freshman Jaylen Brown worked out for the Celtics this week, but according to a source at the workout, it was Danuel House who stole the show, matching up nicely against Brown and showing he has the potential to be a steal as a 3-and-D wing in the second round.
House is a senior who has good size for a shooting guard (6-7) and developed a reputation as a relentless defender after transferring from Houston to Texas A&M as a junior. He helped the Aggies lock up LSU star Ben Simmons three times during the season, as Simmons averaged only 12.0 points and shot 35.5 percent from the field in those games. He shut down another potential first-rounder, Baylor’s Taruean Prince, in December, holding him to 2-for-8 shooting and only eight points.
But it was his play against Brown in Boston that generated some buzz about House this week. Brown is only 19 — House turns 23 this week — but against a younger talent, House looked like an NBA-ready defender.www.nbadraft.net/players/danuel-housewww.msn.com/en-us/video/watch/texas-aandms-danuel-house-brings-down-the-house/vp-BBoUyoI

I don't know if this is good news or bad news. House like Brown can finish at the rim.

Yea it doesn't seem to close any door. Never been an Okafor fan but at this point he or Noel seems to be the least risk. Okafor will be a great scorer coupled with a PG who can pass. We really need to package the three for one of these guys before Anige gives max money to Horford or trades all our picks for Butler .I usually feel better as the draft approaches this year i'm a little scared I do see two solid picks with our last two ist rounders however.

Yeah, I'm coming around to that way of thinking ... vets would be great and speed up the process but not if they're 2nd tier and we're overpaying ... might as well add to the assets with prospects that could hit it big. Did you come to any conclusion about Brown with some additional review of video or still an unknown and not worth comparing to anyone of any import?

I'm a little mixed on Brown. Goes to the hoop like a NBA player not a collage freshman .Bias wasn't more impressive his freshman year as i remember but got much better very quickly. He needs a mid game and jumper to be compared to Bias at this point. ALL things considered i would like him on the team he seems to have as much or more talent than Winslow or Johnson. The three pick makes it really tough however. If Ainge gets this pick wrong he's in trouble regardless of contract extentions. Faced with a proven talent in Okafor and Noel most would take the easy way out and trade the pick.

Yeah, it be hard to pass up a known product like Noel or Okafor especially for a position we need to fill and haven't been very good at doing so over a long period of time.
