#16,#23, & #31 get us ? Could we jump to 9 or 10 if say Hield or Murray or Brown slip ? Which isn't out of the question.

I was thinking about this today. In the NFL, this happens all the time. I don't understand why NBA teams don't trade picks more often. Danny offered CHA six picks last year to move up 7 slots and they said no.....to take Kaminsky. I think in the long run they may regret that move, esp if Jefferson and/or Batum leave this year. I would guess that SAC and/or NOP may be interested in multiple picks, but what do I know?

Questions like this may get answered after the lottery picks get decided. Some team that ends up with a pick, say 9 thru 11, may not mind moving back a bit in order to receive a couple extra picks later in the first round. I don't think #16 plus the other two will get us any lower, maybe not even in the top 10.

If one of those 3 guys slipped though id do it in a minute.

It's actually pretty simple to understand. The NFL has 7 rounds, that is why picks are traded more often than in the NBA. Will Danny panic again this draft, like he did last year by offering 6 picks to move up 7 spots? LOL

It's one of the reasons why I don't truly believe that SAC won't trade Cousins, that they're trying to raise the price for him to get a max return from a team with lots of picks and potential players in return, and we're one of those teams. We have guys on the cheap and guys on contract, cheap contracts....lots could happen.

Oh, I don't think they'll trade him now. They just hired a new coach. I meant they'll take multiple picks for a team to move up to #8. I would love it if we got 2 and 8!

Man, Simmons/Ingram and Murray/Hield/Brown. That'd be a nice in fusion of talent going forward. I think I would then sign Horford just because he's a high character guy and they could afford it. 3 YEARS ONLY THOUGH

It depends upon who DA picks if we stand pat at #3. If he takes Bender then I'd go with Korkmaz for sure at 9-11 if we succeeded in moving up. I agree that Hield & Murray will be gone and if we don't get #1 or #2 why would DA take both Bender & Sabonis?

I don't know. DA likes to send out false signals so even if he likes Hield or Murray what if the Lakers take Hield? Then he'd take Simmons or Ingram right? But can anyone say for sure that he'd take Bender over Hield/Murray or vice versa? I don't think the media is exploring this issue as they all believe he will trade it (even #1) for an established vet. If not having an option for Simmons or Ingram (if making the pick) then I'd go with Murray ahead of Hield based on Murray's success as a freshman and the chance of having a higher ceiling over the late blooming Hield.

Last year, I think we offered an even better package for #9 and it was turned down. So Im not sure that the package gets us inside the top 10. Of course, there are variables that have changed since we tried to move up last year. Different draft class, different team holding the #9 pick...If we could make this deal, I'd probably do it....Assuming we hare not getting anywhere trying to trade for a player. Id rather trade for a player, but if we cant do that, def prioritize quality over quantity.
Im sure someone will be around at 9 to make it worth it. Like Brown.
