Has Tatum scored this half?
Here we go with JB's missed FTs.
Amazing.

JB missing FTs again in crunch time ... makes 0-2 ... he needs to fix that for the POs
3:05 to go ...

I don't understand why we play the way we do.
Tatum is absolutely a "no-show" this half and JB, as aggressive as he's been, just cannot make free throws to save his life.
And I have no idea what Porzingis is doing.
Honestly, this is not an impressive outing. If I'm MIL, I know we can beat Boston.

Celtics lineup change (Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Derrick White, Al Horford, Kristaps Porzingis)
Portis 3 makes it 110-107
JT to the rim gets fouled > Makes 2-2 ... His 1st points in 2nd Half ... 112-107 BOS
2 Minute Warning!

JT a driving layup for +7
1:25 and running ... MONSTER REBOUND BY PORZINGIS AND THE PUTBACK DUNK off the JT miss!
Lillard 3 makes it 116-112
White misses a floater and Portis makes his +1 on the other end ... 116-114 BOS as he fails to convert
JB fouled again > Makes both for a 4pt lead at 118-114 w/ just 20 ticks to go and Bucks no TOs

Why in the world would Tatum tell White to go to Brown?
YOU'RE JAYSON TATUM and you don't want the ball?
FOUR point game. I don't believe this.

Celtics lineup change (Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Derrick White, Al Horford, Payton Pritchard)
Bucks lineup change (Brook Lopez, Bobby Portis, Pat Connaughton, Malik Beasley, Khris Middleton)
Bucks loaded up on 3-pt shooters ...

Lillard misses layup (defense by JB)
JT fouled > Makes both > 120-114 now w/ just 7 ticks to go
C's will WIN it but a poor close out sans Giannis

This was an unimpressive win, but a win, nonetheless.
We struggle mightily against the very good teams and tonight was an example of that.
Not happy at all with this one. MIL sure is!

We played like we didn't care...probably didn't. Just another game to us.
Tomorrow the Bucks play the Nets. Let's see how much they expended tonight

He will probably set out tomorrow . Giannis has already been taken out of the MVP race and said he didn't care much about the regular season. Bucks didn't care alot about winning this game and won't likely go all out tomorrow. What they do care about.. Middleton getting in shape and the playoffs// Horford played 38 minutes Tatum 39 no Buck played that much. One needs to ask themselves at this stage of the season Who's trying to impress folks in the regular season still and who has their eyes fix solely on the playoffs.. Oh and Muzz cared you can bet on that...

MIL sure is! spot on I say! this team is troubling when playing good teams. we won at home by 3 with Milwaukee not playing their superstar? would have been better to play the backups only the second half, then we'd have an excuse at least. well at least there will be no more of that silly ass crap with Crazy Joe thinking he is an NBA player and trying to block real NBA players shots anymore. GROW the f**k UP Mazzulla act like a NBA head coach and not some clown on the end of the bench bench.

Jared Weiss: Jaylen Brown said he likes the looser officiating since the All-Star break, but he has one complaint: “If you’re gonna let us play, let us play. Don’t let us play and then because it’s a little bit more attention on one of the star players, I’m gonna call a touch foul. Like, make it make sense.” – via Twitter JaredWeissNBA Top Rumors, Referees, Jaylen Brown, Boston Celtics, Milwaukee Bucks
Souichi Terada: Jayson Tatum on Jaylen Brown guarding Lillard all game: “It’s like powerful, what that does for our team. How much better it makes us. Seeing him take the challenge of guarding the best guard on the other team.” – via Twitter SouichiTerada Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, Boston Celtics, Milwaukee Bucks
John Karalis: DWhite on Pritchard: “Payton has the heart of a lion. He don’t back down from anybody. He looks forward to matchups like this. … he’s the ultimate competitor. It was big time what he did for us in the first half … every time he’s in there he helps us win games.” – via Twitter John_Karalis Derrick White, Payton Pritchard, Boston Celtics, Milwaukee Bucks

We played well most of the game. These guys are all pros, and no lead is ever safe. You knew MIL would make a run. I'm glad we shut them down when we had to. Good win against a good team. We got up big, and relaxed too much. But we won. Next step is learning how to bury them when we get up big.

We got up big, and relaxed too much. But we won. Next step is learning how to bury them when we get up big. This was an ugly win against a good team without their superstar and with their 3rd best player still getting back from being injured. Middleton even sat out a good part of the 4th quarter due to his minutes restriction and they still made a run. No lead is safe but when you're tops in both offense and defense, an 18-point lead starting the 4th quarter SHOULD BE safe. Yes, you expect MIL to make a run but WHAT ABOUT US? A team with championship aspirations CANNOT GO UP BIG AND CHOKE AWAY THAT LEAD IN THE FOURTH QUARTER. Learning how to bury teams has been a problem with this team all season. If your star fails to engage in the second half, then that's a problem. You can't score 23 in the first half and have 23 midway through the 4th quarter. These are issues this team should have long overcome.

If the season ended today, CHI and ATL would have a play in game.......then they get us......NOT worried.
A great game might be the other play in (as of today) - MIA vs PHI. If Embiid is healthy, then it could be PHI, who then gets MIL. Either way, it's great for us because TWO of our former problem teams will be gone. (PHI, MIL or MIA).
Looks like then, provided the higher seed wins, we'd get the Knicks. A minor problem for us, but I don't think they can beat us 4 times.
ECF, therefore, SHOULD BE......BOS vs MIL or PHI or MIA. A tough series regardless, but, did we know, we have not lost at home to an Eastern Conference team all year?
I like our chances. Some things to tighten up? Sure, but when we are healthy, we are a very, very tough out!!

A tough series regardless, but, did we know, we have not lost at home to an Eastern Conference team all year? I like our chances. Some things to tighten up? Sure, but when we are healthy, we are a very, very tough out!! Based solely on our games against MIL, who I expect we'll see in the ECF, they've outplayed us. In the 2 games in Boston, we've won, but by a combined SIX POINTS. In MIL, in the one game we've played thus far, they beat us by THIRTY-TWO. And my concern is that MIL is peaking. They are putting things together which is what you want at this time of year. Have the Celtics already peaked? I don't know but we sure have a lot of areas that require improvement. And despite our home record against eastern conference teams, WE ALWAYS FIND A WAY TO LOSE AT HOME IN THE PLAYOFFS! And, as far as I'm concerned, I'll believe we've overcome that when I see us dominant at home in the playoffs. And a game like last night validates that concern for our play against those very good, conference/NBA Final-level teams.

That MIL loss, wasn't that the one where none of our starters played in the second half and Mazz gave up?
We get them again 4/9.
And, we might lose again by 30 because they will have something to play for, and we won't. Yes, I'd like to beat them to send a message, but let the Sixers (or Heat) and Cavs beat up on them before we get to them. I don't think they can beat us four times.

I thought you said you'll believe in us if we played well in those string of games against Western teams. Well we went 6-1 w/ all wins being double digits (including beating GS by 50+). Since then (after last games vs suns), we are 3-0 and 2 of the games were won by 20+ (while resting guys). So we have one game, where we win, but not by as much as we should, and here comes the doubtersons. I give Pud an hour before he shows up saying he was right all along that this is an under .500 team.

The difference between us and the Bucks (11 games), is the same difference between #2 and #10 (Hawks).
