Great win. We played really good. Could have played a perfect game if we didnt engage in dumb ISO situations that led to a force shot or losing the ball. Watch 3rd quarter with 4:30 left. After Ruffles has been trying to get something out of nothing thru the whole quarter. Out of every 4 possessions, forcing 3 of them. At the 4:30 mark. He sits down. PP comes in, ball flows, game speed picks up and we go on a nother run. Cant walk the court. Meanwhile JB has been a different player for the past I dont know, 5-6 game i want to say. He is doing all the little things. Mixing it up offensively. Hauser had what like 3-5 steals? We could be coasting the league if Ruffles decided to be in the same page of playing team ball. Coasting. I'm going to agree with this! The only 3's Tatum or Brown need to take are open, in the flow of the game 3's! If we move the ball and keep running, no team in the league can beat us!

This team is killing it so far this season.... 19-5 with the best record in the NBA.
Why are the Cs generating so little enthusiasm in this forum, and I dare say, other forums too?
True, Smarticus (A.K.A., the heart and soul of the Celtics and my own personal heart throb) is languishing in Memphis but it has to be more to it than that.
Ladies... talk amongst yourselves.

Could be we're playing so well there's nothing to argue about.Maybe when we go on our west coast trip we'll get a few more people posting! Or it could be we just need Fierce back!! Greenkiller!

Agree, sort of...the thing is, Mr. Ruffles is driving hard to the hoop and getting the calls these days...yeah, maybe too much ISO ball, but he is dang good at it...pretty much a beast...

Yeah, would be nice to have SF and yeah, I have to admit (and I have PM'ed him to return as well as mentioned it openly on the Pats board) Quaigmire post... I think SF is probably waiting until later in the season to get involved, health, etc...and Quaig is caught up in the quagmire that is the Patriots...maybe we will see him soon...

How about PP, he unclogged that basket for the guys. Lamar steven playing great physical ball. Queta pitching in. Jrue had a meh night yet the other guys filled in. Good stuff. Cant say enough about PP, he has been solid. Hope i dont jinx it.

Tatum and Brown were 2 for 14 from 3 last night. If you take away those 3's, Tatum would have been 9 for 13, and Brown would have been 8 for 10! From mid range on in they can't be stopped. They should only be shooting wide open 3's, in my opinion!

I do like the balance porzingas gives this team. We haven't had a better than average starting big man since Al first came. I love smart but things are less chaotic with jrue and white. Gotta be honest with myself and say both are better than Marcus I like our chances if we are healthy Better how?
From my POV, Smarticus brought a joy, a flair and enthusiasm to the game that neither of these two do.
In a lot of ways.... that's what may be missing this season from this fan's POV.... and from others too?
In Smarticus' defense, he was never, ever a starting PG nor should he ever have been.... even if he had a weapon like Zinger inside to get the ball to.
Pud
Not better heart but better decision-making. DWhite has been on another level. Better shooter too Smart was a better passer than either, even jrue from what I see. I do miss him.

That's the only thing keeping him from being a top 3 player in the league! well ky, i have notice some young and upcoming talent and there are quite a few that are going to be from really good to great. Not sure where tatum would be if he added more stuff to his game but he has some kids right behind him, really hungry. Another thing that he could do better at, moving without the ball and not walking down the court!! Stop complaining for every single call and be a better defender. I think he is not playing D as he used to. Again, more than capable of so much more.this is where browm os better at. Brown goes to work on the things he needs to improve on. Tatum is a bit more stubborn

Fan favorite return long-desired by Celtics fans may be possible with big sacrifice
A fan favorite return long-desired by Boston Celtics fans may be possible with a big financial sacrifice.

Sam Sharpe-USA TODAY Sports
Chowder and Champions' Devon Platana believes that a significant financial sacrifice from Isaiah Thomas -- in the form of the guard taking a 10-day contract -- could facilitate a return to the Boston Celtics that fans have been clamoring for since 2017.
"The Celtics do have one roster spot remaining and I doubt Thomas would command anything more than a veteran minimum deal at this stage of his career," Platana prefaced before saying, "He's also signed five 10-day contracts since 2021, meaning he might be open to another one if Brad Stevens needs a sample size before committing for the rest of the campaign."
Thomas recently told Forbes' Mat Issa that he's still working out and staying ready for his chance at an NBA return.
“I’m still trying to play the game of basketball," Thomas prefaced before saying, "I want to get back to the NBA. So, I’m still working out and staying ready.”
Isaiah Thomas would be play muted role on current-day Boston Celtics
The emotional high of having IT back in the locker room would not be lost on Jaylen Brown, and everyone else who wasn't part of the team would very quickly understand Thomas' importance to the TD Garden faithful.
The pomp and pageantry of Thomas in a Celtics uniform would be unmatched. That first make for the five-foot-nine Messiah would hit like an ice cold glass of water at 3 am. But Thomas wouldn't play a major role on the current-day Cs.
Payton Pritchard's development is paramount for a team that needs cost-controlled talent, and Pritchard's wrapping up his fourth season in a Celtics jersey; a longer tenure than what Thomas had in Boston. When the playoffs come around, he may even be glued to the pine, but he needs regular-season reps.
Thomas returning would be a great story, but it wouldn't define the Celtics' season by any stretch.

If we can't get Bones Hyland cheap while keeping the bench warm w/ the Clippers then IT would be a good option for an emergency backup PG ...

He shows up here every couple days i can see him on the online users. He's been reading the posts. I'f i was to venture why he might be pissed.. Same as me Mazz is a figurehead not a real coach. Why do Brown and Tatum take bad threes.?. Mazz and Stevens encourage it that has always been the case.. Zinger shoots too many stays out of the paint way too much.. Critical thinking here gets lost with the cheerleading squad...... Some folks have slanted views.. No i'm not singling you out just sayin .

Jaylen Brown Has Some Words of Advice for Celtics Coaching Staff
Jaylen Brown wants the Celtics to push the pace: "We had all guards, all smalls out there so our advantage was speed. And that’s how I want to play all the time. Like, let’s run on a made basket, on a missed basket. That’s what I’ve been trying to emphasize for our coaching staff and everybody all year."
Fairly simple.. Run Fast Break.
Less desperation threes from Tatum and Brown less Iso's.
It's a shame when a player is smarter than the coach.....
