Highsmith s/b ready ... Jaquez will be a plug & play rookie ... not sure about Yurtseven or Jovic. Cap-wise they may have about $10M before the 2nd apron is reached unless they move Lowry.

Other than Brogs who else can you move? Pritchard & Kornet can maybe get you Bamba or McDaniels but those aren't big deals. We could S&T Grant to a team under the cap for a future 1st round pick and a $12-15mm TPE. We would not have violated the hard cap at $175mm as long as we don't do the S&T for another player. But in a separate transaction we could use that pick or other/s along with the new TPE to acquire another player via waiver wire or trade. $15mm would be a big deal given we have little other assets but we will not be hard capped at $183mm as long as we don't use the Taxpayer MLE ($5mm).
Our team payroll would be around $200mm and we can sign our draft pick and maybe the 2-ways last at the rookie minimum as there s/b no restriction on having cap space to do so. That's another $6mm for 3 2-ways and $2-3mm for the draft pick. Now up to $209mm ... Happy New Year!
Edit: Here are the rules pertaining to the hard caps at the aprons
Apron #1 ($172.3mm) - The first tax apron for the 2023/24 league year will be the hard cap for any team that acquires a player via sign-and-trade, signs a player using more than the taxpayer portion of the mid-level exception, signs a player using a bi-annual exception, or acquires more than 110% of the outgoing salary in a trade.
Apron #2 ($182.8mm) - The second tax apron is the hard cap for a team that uses the taxpayer mid-level exception.
The 2nd apron is being phased in over this season and next and it appears that this season the only penalty is a hard cap if a team uses it's Taxpayer MLE ... next season all the penalties may kick in and here they are:
[There will be a] second tax apron that will be $17.5MM above the tax line ($165mm Est) > Teams above that second apron will face a new set of restrictions, as follows:
> They won’t have access to the taxpayer mid-level exception.
> They won’t be able to trade away their first-round pick that’s seven years away, beginning in 2024/25. If the team remains above the second apron in two of the next four seasons, that draft pick that was frozen for trade purposes will fall to the end of the first round. If they stay under the second apron for three of the next four seasons, the pick would become unfrozen.
> They won’t be allowed to sign free agents on the buyout market.
> They won’t be permitted to send out cash in trades.
> They won’t be able to take back more salary in a trade than they send out.
> They won’t be able to aggregate salary for matching purposes in trades.
The second tax apron is expected to be phased in over the next two seasons.

They just saved $9.5mm trading Oladipo to OKC with a pick for a TPE that can be used for a FA (hands off my Mo Bamba!) and maybe get them clear to regain use of their MLE.
Heat Shipping Victor Oladipo To Thunder by Alex Kirschenbaum
The Heat are offloading reserve shooting guard Victor Oladipo to the Thunder, sources inform Shams Charania of The Athletic (Twitter link).
Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN tweets that Miami will send Oklahoma City draft compensation along with the veteran wing.
The Heat, meanwhile, will net a $9.45MM trade exception by flipping his salary. Miami also still has a $4.7MM trade exception from its February deal of big man Dewayne Dedmon.
Earlier this week, the injury-plagued former All-Star picked up his player option for the 2023/24 season. Oladipo tore his left knee patellar tendon during Miami’s first round matchup against the bucks.
As Bobby Marks of ESPN details (via Twitter), the Thunder will absorb Oladipo’s salary into its available cap space. After the deal, Oklahoma City should still have an estimated $7.2MM in available money at its disposal, as well as the $7.8MM room exception. The club currently has 16 players under contract, and will need to make more moves to reduce its head count to 15 for its standard roster this fall.
With 11 players currently signed, meanwhile, the Heat now have $172MM in committed salary. While Miami is in the luxury tax, this move shifts the team $6.5MM beneath the highly punitive second tax apron. As Yossi Gozlan of HoopsHype (Twitter link) notes, the team is in better position to use its $5MM taxpayer mid-level exception, but still may have to shed a little salary to do so.

Just finished scanning FAs and RFAs left after today's signings/trades and made a list of my top gets regardless of how we get them:
1) Christian Wood (PF/C) 2) P.J. Washington (PF/C) < RFA 3) Miles Bridges (SF/PF) < RFA 4) Jalen McDaniels (SF) 5) Thomas Bryant (C) 6) Mo Bamba (C) 7) Montrezl Harrell (PF/C)

If they only add one of each of those players, they would have a full roster counting the Rookie and Sham-penny I believe.
Blake I would think is an option as well at some point, especially if Grant moves on.

I think Bev comes if Pritchard goes ... via VM.
I don't want Javonte Green ... damaged goods (don't need more rehabbed players)
I want to stay over both aprons now. MLE isn't getting us too much anyway. If we can S&T Grant to another team under the cap for say $12-15mm and take back a future 2nd with a TPE we can flip that TPE into something better though it would have to be via trade or waiver wire as neither FA's or S&T's can be acquired w/ TPEs.
So if we want either Bryant/Bamba or McDaniels/Craig it will need to involve the MLE and a hard cap.

Lillard just requested a trade!
So Blazers have to take Lowry & Robinson as compensation to make the deal work with picks ... Yuck!
POR would be better off dealing with the Nets.
Per hoopsrumors:
A Miami offer for Lillard would almost certainly include at least two of Tyler Herro, Kyle Lowry, and Duncan Robinson. The Heat also have at least two tradable future first-round picks (2028 and 2030) and could sweeten their offer by attaching young prospects such as Nikola Jovic or 2023 first-rounder Jaime Jaquez, or a veteran on a team-friendly contract like Caleb Martin.

His preferred destination. POR is under NO obligation to trade him there. Of course, they probably will, but I read BKN is also in the mix.......

Yeah, lol. That package sucks. 2 bad contracts, 2 firsts from 5-7 years in the future, and a prospect (Jaquez) that they wouldnt have chosen themselves had they got to make the pick at 19
