We can do this.....but it will be a huge challenge for us
It starts with D. Close out on 3 point shooters Double team Buckets One and done
Offensively: Run, run, run - we have better athletes Keep moving the ball for the best shot Take it to the hole in transition Get offensive rebounds
I really don't think we need to shoot 40% on 3's to win..................but it would help.
One more win in MIA, and we break their spirit. We got this!!

Malcolm Brogdon leaves Game 5 early
Boston Celtics shooting guard Malcolm Brogdon halfway through Game 5, and was later ruled doubtful to return by the team. It was reported earlier in the week that the Atlanta native was playing through a torn tendon in his right arm, though he hasn’t missed any time thus far with the injury. Payton Pritchard and Derrick White picked up Brogdon’s minutes in his absence. Brogdon has been a critical offensive piece for the Celtics all season long, providing shooting and playmaking off the bench. He earned Sixth Man of the Year Award honors as such, though his shooting has been down considerably in this Eastern Conference finals round. – via Cameron Tabatabaie @ Celtics Wire Top Rumors, Injuries, Malcolm Brogdon, Boston Celtics

Tatum the distributor!!
4 guys over 20, that's a great game!!
Shout out to Drewski for calling out the "hunting". We hunted Strus last night!!
Butler and Bam don't shoot 3's. So, if we, as a team, make a 3 for every one of his 2's, we're up 10-15 points right there.
We have them on their heels right now, we have to keep up the pressure.
Yes, I was highly critical, I feel that's my job as a fan. And, no, I'm not ready to call Mazz the next Red quite yet, because it is on the players.......always was and always will be. They may be winning in spite of him, but I no longer feel his job is in jeopardy.

Great win. Good to see DWhite, Smart, and GWill playing well. DWhite and SMart because our G rotation is one player short (Brog). ANd Grant (maybe not as much this last game, but overall since he rejoined rotation) because our bench is one player short (Brog).
This team is very good when we win the turnover battle.

Justin Kubatko: Al Horford last night: ✅ 11 REB ✅ 5 AST ✅ 0 TOV ✅ 0 PF Since the NBA began tracking individual turnovers in 1977-78, he’s the only player to record at least 10r/5a in a conference finals game without committing a turnover or personal foul. More: open.substack.com/pub/statitudes… – via Twitter jkubatko Al Horford, Boston Celtics
Smart is the free safety sitting back and directing traffic. Brown is poking at the ball while Tatum is taking out Butler, but White is the one trying to steer everything into the Celtics’ hands. “D-White, second-team All-Defense this year for a reason,” Tatum said. “He’s a big part of our team, our identity, things we try and do on the defensive end. He’s a very smart basketball player on both ends, and his awareness, his instincts, they showed tonight.” – via Jared Weiss @ The Athletic Derrick White, Boston Celtics
Grant Williams cementing his place in the lineup gave Boston a big man rotation that would fly out to shooters, handle switches on Butler, and still fight on box outs to start fast breaks. But that physicality wasn’t going to turn into anything without White and Smart aggressively digging in at the ball and getting hands in passing lanes to disrupt the Heat’s offense. “I’ll go make a play on Jimmy and then he’ll sprint from Jimmy all the way across the court to get a shot blocked,” Grant Williams told The Athletic. “So he’s leading that and also Smart and all our guys really are, so we’ve got to feed off their energy. He’s been really crucial for us coming back in this series.” – via Jared Weiss @ The Athletic Derrick White, Grant Williams, Marcus Smart, Boston Celtics, Miami Heat
“They jammed us up several times in the paint with quick hands, strip-downs, things of that nature,” Miami coach Erik Spoelstra said. “We have to shore that up. That’s two games in a row of that.” Ten of those turnovers have come from center Bam Adebayo, whom the Celtics have committed to bothering by collapsing on him in the lane. They use Marcus Smart or White to sink down from the perimeter and apply the extra pressure, and the Heat have been too slow to counter. – via Joe Vardon @ The Athletic Erik Spoelstra, Bam Adebayo, Marcus Smart, Boston Celtics, Miami Heat
But if Vincent (sprained left ankle) can play in Game 6, it at least in theory would restore order to the method in which the Heat were operating when things were easier. “We’ll see, we’ll see who is available, see if Gabe is available. I can’t answer that right now,” said Spoelstra, when asked if he needed to make a permanent lineup change. “But it’s always good when a guy (Haywood) comes in and plays some productive minutes and sees some good things happen. But we’ll see.” – via Joe Vardon @ The Athletic Injuries, Gabe Vincent, Miami Heat

and Gallo should be about ready to get back on the court. Wasn't there talk that he could be ready by the playoffs? Well, it's stretched possibly to the finals so why isn't he ready to go. If there's talk of him playing in FIBA again this summer, he s/b ready for the Finals. Has he been working out with the team at all ... if not forget it.
