KD deal kind of a stunner for me, I thought they'd wait till the off-season. BUt I guess the Nets owner said turn the page.
A LOT of Celtic fans will be screaming for Stevens head today I think after the Poeltl trade. While I didn't think Poeltl was a fit here, Trading Birch, ONE first and a couple seconds is gonna PISS off a lot of Celtic fans I think.
Ainge collecting picks and clearing salary, Utah best hope someone else picks the players in the draft though!

Someone explain to me why Ainge got his booty taken by the Lakers ... a protected 1st and two prospects? Maybe he has a taker for Westbrook lined up for another 1st RDP or a 2nd or two (Clips & Bulls want him if a buyout happens) ... otherwise I'm missing something.
A three-team deal involving the Lakers, Jazz and Timberwolves is in the process of being finalized, tweets ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
The trade will send Minnesota guard D’Angelo Russell to L.A., along with Utah’s Malik Beasley and Jarred Vanderbilt.
The Wolves will get point guard Mike Conley, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, the less favorable of the Wizards’ and Grizzlies’ second-round picks in 2024 (from the Lakers) and Utah’s second-round picks in 2025 and 2026, sources tell Wojnarowski (Twitter link).
Utah will receive Russell Westbrook and a 2027 first-round pick from the Lakers that is top-four protected. In addition, the Jazz will acquire Juan Toscano-Anderson and Damian Jones.
Conley, Beasley and Vanderbilt all have future salary on the books, I think all 3 players Ainge took back are expiring. Plus that first of course ( supposedly VEY lightly protected).

So what happened to the KD for JB trade...
that our two^^ resident geniuses (you know who they are) were touting?
And is JB faking some sort of facial injury just so he can stay in BeanTown and play 2nd fiddle to Mr. Ruffles?
I and I alone (sounds just like tfg, doesn't it?) have the latest scoop... and I'm not say'n... so yo b*tches will just have to stay tuned to find out what this bad boi already knows!

Lakers punched, Suns counter-punched. Game over in LA. No title for James this year. Then they can go and sign kyME to a max deal that he doesn't deserve next year. That will finish the lakers for this decade, IMO.

Let's also not forget the Suns got one of my longtime "wish we had him" in TJ Warren. If he gets healthy, they could put up 130 every game

For the record, BKN might actually be better now. Especially if they get rid of Simmons.
All the guys they got can play D. And there are many of them. They could be a beotch in the playoffs

so as we wind down the trade deadline My favorite deals are still
Gallo, Pritchard, Jackson and first to Utah for
Kelly O.
then a second to Detroit for
C. Joseph
two open roster spots
one for Samanic
the other for a buy out wing OR Valentine or Snell

Simmons Dinwiddie Thomas Mills Curry CLAXTON O'Neale Finney-Smith Curry Harris
All can play, and most are good defenders. They will be a tough out.

For a while in the NBA, it seemed like it was all about chasing talent. Contracts be damned. I think we're seeing a slight correction of that (not to the degree of baseball or hockey). But a slight move in that direction. Teams are slightly less willing to take bad contracts and slightly more willing to dump em, even if they are attached to a talented player. Westbrook will be bought out. The Jazz are getting salary flexibility and a first.

Maybe Stevens can talk Ainge into 2- seconds for Kelly? I mean how many first does Ainge need anyway, right? in that case I do a 3 team trade Pritchard, Gallo and 2- seconds, a second and the rights to Madar to Utah Jackson and a first to Detroit Kelly O and S. Bey to Boston ( Bey comes into the TPE) The sign IT to a vet minimum deal to ride the bench and get a ring

Now that Conely is gone, PP could get a bigger role in Utah.
PP, Gallo, Jackson, and 2nd rounders for Oly?

With Brown injured we could use a real SG to go along with a forward and center ... B Robb mentioned Curry as well as O'Neale or Finney-Smith as doable trades now that KD is gone.
I'm partial to Bruce Brown (ex-Net now in Denver) ... he has a player option for next yr and already told DEN he was opting out for free agency so they will lose him for nothing unless he's dealt now. He may want to come home ...
