I realize now that I love Kyrie and I hate Kyrie. It depends on which version he is being at the time. The douche or the godly, kind & generous worldly wise basketball artist

I'd say the play-in tournament is a success and should be expanded. Everybody makes the tournament/or playoffs!

After seeing the Cavs get within 6pts of a comeback after losing Q1 40-20 I no longer fear the Nets. Bring it on!

I'd say the play-in tournament is a success and should be expanded. Everybody makes the tournament/or playoffs! I disagree. When you look at the West, NO is 10 games under .500. Their record is 36 - 46 and, get this, the 10 seeded Spurs are fourteen games under .500 (34 - 48). I'm sorry but they DO NOT deserve to qualify for the playoffs under any circumstances. And even in the East where both ATL and CHA sport 43 - 39 records,, although their records were closer to the true 8th seeded Cavs, the bottom line is they did not fall in the top 8. For me, it just prolongs the season longer than it really needs to be. If you don't fall in the top 8 in your conference, you don't deserve to qualify for the playoffs.

CLE missed a whole lot of wide open shots. They made a lot of stops but just could not convert on the other end. Garland or Rondo would miss a layup, Markanen would miss a wide open 3, followed by a short miss by Kevin Love. They had the opportunities, they just didn't covert. Boston won't have that problem. And you can bet JB is itching to get going considering he had to watch last season. And Bruce Brown is now enemy number 1 for this series.

The NBA plays an 82 game season to now eliminate only 10 of 30 teams from the playoffs.
It was bad enough in previous years that 14 teams were eliminated after a full season of play.. now only 10 teams get to go home.
It makes me wonder why we play the WAY TOO LONG regular season schedule at all.
But then again, I'm an idiot for only watching the last 6-8 minutes of an NBA contest.... when the game actually "gets real."
Or am I?

Actually, you’re probably the smart one. To watch the most critical part of game without a whole lot of “how did we get here” may be a brilliant approach to capturing the game. Also, why play a long a$$ 82 game season to see if 2 teams, the 9th and 10th seed can somehow make the playoffs, seems silly. I can see shortening the season and having 4 teams from each conference “play-in” but this is ridiculous.

At this point boys, it is what it is! No more what if' s about who we're playing! We controlled our own destiny and we're getting the Nets! We'll find out if it was a good or bad move, in the near future!! For now, let's go Celtics!! I'm already starting to get nervous!!

That is MILs label right now. In the near future, when BOS is beating them in round 2 at TD Garden, MIL is going to get questioned for tanking the 2 seed to avoid BKN. I can hear Jackson or Van Gundy questioning the Bucks for tanking to avoid BKN but failing to consider their 2nd round matchup vs BOSTON and home court advantage.

I like Stan VG better than Jeff, who I never hated. I think Stan says smart things and isn't afraid to be blunt. And he's pretty fair.

And I think he and Mark Jackson are just the perfect fit. And they are the only announcers who call out referees and players. They have no problem saying....."that is not a foul" or directed to a player..."that's a foul". When Hubie Brown announces, every foul called by a ref is a perfectly called foul, even if nobody is around the offensive player. And Stan, I just cannot stay with his voice.
