Not trying to disagree with you regarding Hausers defense but in Udoka's defense, it's not fair to compare Hauser (rookie) to Strus (3 yrs now?) ... I'm just projecting that maybe he's not convincing Udoka from practice that he's ready for prime time just as Nesmith is inconsistent. You may be right. Honestly, I don't trust Udoka when it comes to rotation decisions. To me, he's showing Tom Thibodeau tendencies of playing players way too many minutes. By playing only 8 players frequently, there seems to be a lot of players who haven't convinced Udoka they're ready to play. I'm using Strus because that was the same label he got.....defense. He hasn't become a defensive stalwart cause he's been in the NBA for 3 years. He just works hard and that's all you can ask for. Hauser can work hard too.

An example of what I'm talking about is playing out in the game right now. Hauser has not seen the court since he subbed out.
MIL has 88 points with more than 4 minutes left in the 3rd quarter. Whoever is out there, Hauser's defense CANNOT be any worse than the guys out there playing now.

There's my man. And he cuts to the rim for layups.
I'm sorry but Nesmith just aint ready. NOW HE SHOULD NOT EVEN BE ON THE COURT.
There is nothing he does that's helping this team. Nothing.

Even with the players playing tonight, the Celtics can win this game. MIL may make a 4th quarter run the Celtics won't be able to match but, if not, the Celtics should go after this win.

Nesmith scored bigtime the other night but it was garbage time ... his hustle for rebounds and loose balls keeps him on the court when his shot isn't going down.

Like tonight? Like I said, he shouldn't be on the court. He's not hustling, getting any rebounds or loose balls so what's his contribution tonight? And his shot is nowhere near going down.

I wasn't referring to this game ... those prior games where he did that and Udoka complimented his game. I've tried to point out his missed shots and TOVs tonight to show what a poor game he's having ...

Hauser is a pure shooter. His form is the same, all the time. Imagine having Hauser standing in the corner when JT and JB are working out front. When Smart is out there, defenders slack off of him GIVING him the open shot. If Hauser is out there, there is no slacking and if they do slack off of him, he can stand out there all night hitting shots. That is what his skill does to the spacing on the court. The closest player we have to that right now is PP. The way he's shooting, defenses don't leave him open daring him to shoot. Just Smart. Young Gordon Hayward. Only a better shooter.

I don't care who isn't on the court. We are playing better than MIL. When that is happening, we should expect to win.
The Celtics, if they execute and stick to their defensive principles, should win this game.
This would be a HUGE statement if we pulled this one out.
The shame of it all is that many of these guys, who are playing with poise and grit, will never see the court again this season.

There goes that execution part we have a hard time doing.
GWlll dribbling-turnover, JB got up in the air, bad pass-turnover, JB can't secure the ball-turnover. MIL back up by 2. MIL 9-2 run.
