None are Boston related I am afraid, but here is my top four biggest trades by the deadline this season in the NBA
#1) Philly trades B. Simmons ($33M) to the Kings for D. Fox (28.1M)
No draft compensation either way as Philly decides to move on with a young starting PG
#2) Indiana trade M. Turner ($18m) and J. Holiday ( $6M) to Charlotte for M. Plumlee ($9.2M) , K. Oubre ( $12M) and a first round pick.
Pacers end up keeping Sabonis and move Turner with Holiday who have a combined $24.2M) in guaranteed salary next season. Plumlee and Oubre one a combined $9.3M in guaranteed salary after this year, which makes them easy to move or they keep them as part of the rebuild. They also get a first round pick from Charlotte here. Charlotte needs an upgrade at Center and Turner fits the bill.
#3) Detroit trades J. Grant ($20.2M) and F. Jackson ( $3M) to MEMPHIS for K. Anderson ($9.9M) , J. Culver ( $6.3M) and Memphis and Utah (or LAL) first round picks in the 2022 draft.
Memphis takes Jackson in under a TPE they have to make the money work (they are way below the tax line) and Get Grant for their playoff push this year. Detroit get two first round pick this next draft and two expiring contracts in Anderson and Culver.
#4) Houston Sends C. Wood ($13.6M) and A. Brooks ( $1.5M) to Dallas for M. Kleber ( $8.97M), W. Cauley-Stein ($4.1M) and a 2023 first round pick.
Houston has a glut of picks this year so get one the year after here. Kleber has a $9.22M NON-Guaranteed salary next year and WCS is expiring. Dallas get Woods to mix in with Porzingis and Powell up front.
that's my four biggest trade predictions by the deadline.

Simmons most likely to the Kings. .right but no way straight up for Fox 76ers get picks
76ers want Haliburton not Fox i hear.. . my guess along with Heild maybe and two ist rounders
money pretty much works..... .either way Fox or Haliburton kills us
none of any of the other trades matter because the 76ers will kick our ass for years.
Doc can't even f**k this up.......
oh and Sac's pick this year is likely top 10 just to add to our woes...

Simmons is in control don't ya think just like James and Irving and co.. .The new NBA is tailor designed for the chosen few.
Silver does nothing but distribute the revenue.. Its lawless should be a breach of contract suit upheld by the league..
Simmons would be fined heavily and suspended in the real world.......

Silver and Stearn lost control of the NBA long ago All over money not meant to offend anyone there, the rabbit hole I was referring to there was the Ben Simmons one. Though to be fair many times around here threads go off into tangents that I for one have zero interest in (especially on a basketball board). I don't think I contribute much of anything and my many trade scenarios' are mostly for my humor, I figure someone may find them interesting or not. No harm either way to me. I have learned a lot about how the CBA and salary cap works over the years, with many links I use to try to get things right (though I am not saying I always get that right). But hopefully I can bring some clarity at times to those discussions. as for current player thoughts I used to do a pre-season breakdown of each player on that years roster on another place I posted a lot at. But I find that I have not much to add there for real Celtic fans. Since they are likely seeing more the less the same thing as I do. I haven't done that in a couple years for those reasons. Not sure there is much more to say about current players after that to be honest. However let me know if you want to hear my dissertation of the current roster...LOL as for game on threads I simply am not a multi-tasker. So I prefer to watch the games (when I can) and read the stuff post game. Again me being the third guy to say...what a shot, dumb ref, etc is kinda redundant to me. and this is not real life to me, so there is that also. hope this helps....carry on. |

It's unclear from which camp this message is being sent. Is this Morey communicating to other front office executives that Simmons will be ready to allay concerns in trade talks? Or is it Simmons' camp talking to front offices about his eventual availability to expedite the process?. But it certainly sounds like, were he traded tomorrow, Simmons would not have a problem returning to the court.. just as i suppected Simmons ready to play. He's engaged to be married and i'm sure Maya Jama wants to help him spend those millions |

Dude man dude, you and Drewski know tons about trade rules and legitimate options...you guys should start an agency for negotiating player's contracts...
And yeah, game threads are hard to get into sometimes, the game is moving so quick...a lot of times I read them later as well...
And for sure, post your dissertation on the current roster!...
